Nothing else comes to mind that can compare and we're talking about Harmon and LV Blvd, the heart of the strip. The interior dining room was gorgeous as well. Regarding the menu: if I were to come here off camera, I would order the surf and turf appetizer, a ribeye, the spinach, and the butter cake. All together as a meal, I would really enjoy it from start to finish. Butter cake is my favorite dessert though I don't run across it too often in the steakhouses I've reviewed. So in comparison, Gordon Ramsay Steak is still one of my favorite steakhouses in Vegas. However, the location does not hold a candle to Ocean Prime now. And while the sticky toffee pudding is amazing, I would take a good butter cake about 3/5 times over it. Appetizer wise, I usually got the hamachi crudo, which is good, but very standard. @@VegaswithShin I bow down to you. Your videos are great. I assumed because of how large the bill was and there were several all recent that were comped per the channel (Travel Ruby said so in her video). Keep up the good work and sorry that I dropped the skepticism here. I think your channel will be very successful…I hope you keep at it.
Shin it was such a pleasure talking with you and serving you at our restaurant.Extremely grateful for the opportunity and happy you loved the food. Hope to see you again please ask for me when you return. -Mario your raving fan and server
The food looked amazing except at 7:09 you can see they left some of the "vein" behind in the shrimp, and we all know what the vein actually is! 😱 Shin, I discovered your channel through my mom. She's going through pancreatic cancer and she can't eat much of anything, she has no appetite and can't really swallow much food. But she's super inspired by your wonderful feasts and I think your videos are giving her hope of eating great meals again. Thank you for your beautiful videos and your sweet, genuine personality. Keep up the great work and the great feasts! 😊
Wow, that makes me incredibly emotional to hear how she enjoys my videos and I'm giving her hope in tough times. I appreciate that truly and I will 100% continue to bring you positive energy and good times with my videos. Thank you for watching!
I actually made reservations for dinner early next month before catching this video. And I have to say it might be the best, most complete dining review I've ever watched on YT. Excellent contents Shin, many thanks. And I'm so glad you said you were taking home a lot of that food, otherwise you would have actually gone into a real food coma!!! But everything you ordered, from the cocktail, to the apps, to the entrée, and finally dessert looked outstanding. In fact, I think I'm going to plan a future lunch date there as well. I can see going all appetizers for lunch. Thanks again bro!!! Oh and I just subscribed as well.
Yes! I hope you have an amazing visit to Ocean Prime. And I appreciate your kind words! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video. Welcome to the channel!
I am so happy that I found a Vegas food vlogger who actually knows about food! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that. The fact that you don't normally like truffle mac and cheese because it's made with truffle oil👍 and that you knew that your steak wouldn't need the Bearnaise (and you knew what Bearnaise was!) but you got some anyway just to try it. Thank you for this! I have now subscribed and I like forward to more of your videos 😊
@@scottmiller8396 lmao, one can dream. I think 100k in the lifetime of my channel sounds more realistic if I stick with it for ~10 years, which I currently plan to do :)
Hey Shin! Thanks for another great video! You are my favorite Vegas food reviewer. I will add this to my go-to list. You must have thick skin for all these brutal comments. I don't know why some ppl can't just watch and enjoy it. I once had a teacher said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all." I guess everyone is a critic and a tough guy behind the screen. I'm glad you don't take it personally. You're a better person than they will ever be 😊
Thank you very much! I'm happy to hear that. I'd say in general I do have a pretty thick skin. I have too much to do to let the words of strangers stop my day. It also helps that the RUclips comments section is not a land of free speech, but ultimately the United States of Shin. I can ban anyone and nuke any comment if I so choose. No one has been that egregious yet, but knowing I hold the power lets me get through the comments easily lol. And to be fair, I'd say most of the comments are very encouraging, thankful and positive. I'm very happy to have cultivated a community of positive Vegas food enthusiasts here and want to continue to do so. Thanks for watching!
Food looks great but $18 baked potato ! I don’t know the prices of food in Vegas has absolutely sky rocketed. Great review sir. Always enjoy your videos. Cheers
Yeah, I've been to a handful of steakhouses for the channel at this point at the pricing tiers are all about the same. I don't think anyone going to these steakhouses are looking for a deal or value. I did enjoy my meal a lot here though! Thanks for watching!
What really takes creamed spinach to the next level, believe it or not, is also the addition of a little fresh ground nutmeg! Something I learned from a chef along time ago! Great to see another of your videos.
I have seen a lot of your videos but your facial expressions on almost everything you tried was priceless. That's has to be one on the best steakhouses on the strip. The food was so properly prepared and visually stunning. And that Wagu steak must have been sent down from the Gods. I loathe most butter cakes but I would have dived into that one. Great video Shin.
Ah, I remember this. Ocean Prime was great. I really enjoyed the food here. When I came back to do my top 10 of 2023, Ocean Prime was just as great. Really great steakhouse here. I loved it. Thanks for watching!
I've been doing RUclips videos for about a year and a half now and I just had my first meal comped a few weeks ago at Guy Fieri's Sports Kitchen. I've also had a Pepsi comped before as well as 2 desserts (both at Gordon Ramsay restaurants no less). I actually prefer to pay for my meals for tax purposes so getting comps is not a motivating driver for me. In terms of permission, I ask my server before any meal if it's OK to make these RUclips videos. I'd say about 10% of those requests go up to the managers who have always told me it's fine as long as I don't go around bothering other guests. I think a town like Vegas has become used to vlogger types being around at this point. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the review, really helpful and greatly appreciated! Hope you make another review of this place with a table outside! Would love to see more of it!
Happy to hear you enjoyed! I will come back to eat on the patio for sure though I don't know if I'll record it lol. Possibly though! Thanks for watching!
Glad you enjoyed! This is about standard pricing on the Las Vegas strip for steakhouses so I'd say right in line with everyone else. But that patio is what makes this place for me and would make me want to eat here over other steakhouses. As soon as Fall hits and it cools down, I'll be back here. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I know there are several people who do a lot of research on the restaurants for their Vegas trip and I want to provide as much info as I can to help in their decisions. Thanks for watching Austin!
That looked AMAZING! I knew it was going to be good when I saw the black shirt with the limp bacon collar come out 🤣🤣The steak looked perfect, although I'm not a fan of a steak on a naked white plate. The lobster linguini made my mouth water, and I could almost taste the surf and turf. This was an awesome showcase of some amazing looking food, great job on the vid!. It does look a bit big and busy with people floating about for my liking, but it'll be a stop on my next Vegas trip for sure!
Dude Ed, that's so odd because I'm kind of the same way about a steak on a naked white plate but I thought I was weird lol. Glad to hear you think the same. The lobster linguini was seriously good and I'll never go to Ocean Prime and not get that surf and turf appetizer. It was very busy on this opening night but if you do go and the weather permits, I'd recommend dining on the patio. It's the best view from a steakhouse in Vegas. Nothing else comes to mind to beat it. Thanks for watching!
LOL! I don't think people are looking for value when they go to a Las Vegas steakhouse at this point, but I would agree. I wouldn't order the sauce outside of a RUclips video. Thanks!
I went to the Ocean Prime in Phoenix and it phenominal! I had some of the same dishes that you had. It was my birthday and they went out of their way to make it very special, including decorating the table and giving me the warm butter cake with a candle complimentary. The food was beyond tasty and my server and the rest of the staff were wonderful! I will certainly go back for another special occasion as you can see, OP is a little pricey!
That's awesome to hear they carry the same standard! I've always enjoyed my meals at Morton's and Ruth's Chris in the past and now if I see an Ocean Prime in my travels, I know I have another spot to get a really great meal. Thanks for watching!
Yes! I hope you have a great meal and an amazing trip to Vegas! Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy the patio though it's pretty hot out now. Thanks for watching!
It is a bit pricy, but once again it looks like a top-notch meal. I know you order more than I would because of the videos too. It all looked so tasty.
Yeah, I've come to expect about this level of pricing when I go to make a steakhouse video. They're all expensive on the strip. Personally off camera, I think my meal here would still end up being like $150-$200. The surf and turf, a ribeye, spinach or whipped potato with a butter cake and Pepsi. It's quite pricey, but it was very good. Thanks for watching Robert!
My scallops were incredible and I really enjoyed it! If you do visit, I hope you have a nice meal and an overall great trip this August. Thanks for watching!
Wow wow wow! What a fine dining experience. You are so on point with your eloquent descriptions and reviews of each dish. It really makes us feel like we can taste the food with you. This is my kind of restaurant. I did hear a screaming baby in the background. I don’t think this is the kind of place your bring an infant as it ruins the dining experience for others. Especially if someone is celebrating a special occasion. I know it’s a tricky situation for management to deal with but, it boils down to one cry baby vs the entire restaurant and staff. We have had so many dining experiences ruined with screaming babies/kids. Keeping it real. Thank you so much for the video.
Yes Ocean Prime has risen very high on my list! I can't wait for it to cool down so I can dine on the patio! The crying baby is really tough. I know parents want to enjoy a nice night out also but it does feel bad as the rest of the restaurant has to endure the crying and screaming. I'm definitely still returning though. Thanks for watching!
Looks good Shin...but out of my price range. Your server is phine 🤭 The only dish I would not try is the creamed spinach...I hate spinach 🤢 Really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing! 💯❤️
Yes! August can be pretty toasty but if you're able, I would dine on the patio. It was beautiful out there. Thanks for watching and I hope you have an amazing trip to Las Vegas!
Opps, my review got erased sorry. Anyway Shin u did a great job for the fans. Food looked phenomenal and most of ur choices would have been mine. I ate @ Ocean Prime San Diego it was out of this world. Can't say enough about my experience. Continue on.💖
Thank you very much! Another commenter mentioned their experience at Ocean Prime Arizona was also great so it's good to hear they're consistently performing across all of their locations! Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin You did justice to the food and ordering 1 of everything was smart. Like u said the sushi was ok. That's the only dish I wouldn't have ordered. We r going to Vegas this fall, we r planning to visit them. Thanks my friend 🤗🤩
This looked amazing!!! I love truffles so that mac and cheese would be definitely something I'd order. The lobster linguine was filled with lobster. I'm surprised by how much was in that dish.
Yes! I was not expecting to see an entire lobster in that pasta dish. I had a huge smile when they brought it out lol. The truffle mac and cheese was really good! I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for watching!
I was disappointed you didn’t get the baked potato! I recall from your “primarily prime rib” review your mentioning you usually get baked potato as side dish. I was curious to see what an almost 20 USD baked potato looks like lol. The bread portion was pretty small considering the prices they charge. The butter looked good
Yes totally, off camera, my orders are so predictable it's pathetic lol. When I go to make RUclips videos, I really try to order stuff that I think I'll enjoy but are not my usual go to picks. One of the reasons I got into YouTubing was to try new things and so I'm really keeping with that as I film my content. I think the bread portion was made for just me. I have to imagine they serve more if there is more than one person at the table. But I would agree, if that's the standard serving for an entire table, that would seem off lol. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShinshould totally down Jackson's (Flamingo and Jones) $20 ribeye and baked potato. You could also appetizer their fish and chips like you did at Ellis Island.
Yes, it is a chain steakhouse similar to Morton's or Ruth's Chris, though I believe I was told that Las Vegas is now their flagship location. It was beautiful in there, and the patio has to be one of the best in Vegas for a steakhouse. I'll have to try the crab cake next time, but the surf and turf was fantastic. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin If you've never tried the porcini rubbed ribeye at the capital grill you should try it. The one I had in Denver was fantastic. I've had a burger at the capital grill in Vegas that was damn good.
Whaaaaat a beautiful dinner.. EVERYTHING, gorgeous. Hats off to handsome Romario as well. 😊 I know what my order would be. Either the wedge or a caesar, then the bone in ribeye cooked medium rare. A cocktail to start and a heavy red with the main. A side, though unnecessary, would be the mushrooms. Nary a crumb of bread would be left behind either for it all works together. Oh, dessert, perhaps that carrot cake.❤🥕 Your butter cake did look divine. I really enjoyed this episode, perhaps the most. Thank you!! 😊👍🌻 *ps: I forgot to mention prior my appreciation of your bumper music. It was classic and contributed to the great vibes. 😊👍
It is a nice restaurant. And the extra Vegas mark up is very real. But you never know. The first Michelin star meal I ever paid for myself was off a random minimum bet slot pull when I was waiting for my friends to finish getting ready to go to the pool with $25 I had at the time in my pocket. You never know. Thanks for watching!
It was quite noisy inside yes. Next time I dine at Ocean Prime will be when the weather cools down for patio seating. Amazing out there and you don't have that indoor noise chamber. Thanks for watching!

Keep up the good work and sorry that I dropped the skepticism here. I think your channel will be very successful…I hope you keep at it.
@david94085 no problem at all! Happy to explain and I thank you for your support of me and the channel!
@david94085 that's more of a red flag with those with 100s of thousands of subs but not Shin, with all due respect.
😂😂skip sushi
Lmao, yeah I don't think that's happening again lol. Thanks for watching Jim!

Shin it was such a pleasure talking with you and serving you at our restaurant.Extremely grateful for the opportunity and happy you loved the food. Hope to see you again please ask for me when you return.
-Mario your raving fan and server
Thank you Romario! I will be back and will ask for you of course! You were amazing! Thank you very much!
The food looked amazing except at 7:09 you can see they left some of the "vein" behind in the shrimp, and we all know what the vein actually is! 😱
Shin, I discovered your channel through my mom.
I appreciate that. I'm a big lover of food and I hope it shows in my videos. Welcome to the channel! Happy to have you here!
YOU DON'T HAVE TO SAY A WORD SHIN, YOUR FACE TELLS IT ALL😆😂🤣. ALL THE FOOD LOOKS SO DELICIOUS 😋. THANKS FOR SHARING, KEEP UP THE INCREDIBLE JOB 👍🏼😁😋😋
Hard to lie with my face when the food is good LOL! Thanks for watching Tracey!
Just wanted what a great job you do. Remember us when you hit a million subs
@@scottmiller8396 lmao, one can dream. I think 100k in the lifetime of my channel sounds more realistic if I stick with it for ~10 years, which I currently plan to do :)
Thank you, Shin, for going out of your way to try so much of the menu! I recently found your videos and you're my new favorite RUclipsr.
You're very welcome! I had a great time eating/filming it all. Welcome to the channel! Thank you for watching!
Prices are brutal.
Curious- it states Proper Attire, no ball caps, no sleeveless shirts and at :27 two guys with T shirts , one with a head wrap….lol.
Lol, I guess it wasn't all that heavily enforced. Thanks for watching!
What really takes creamed spinach to the next level, believe it or not, is also the addition of a little fresh ground nutmeg! Something I learned from a chef along time ago! Great to see another of your videos.
I did not know this, but it makes sense to me! Great tip! Thanks for watching!
LOVE creamed spinach! I'd eat that with my hands.
I’m a new subscriber and just am loving your videos and comments! I find you refreshing and gracious🥰🙋♀️☮️‼️🙏🏻🕉️🪷
Welcome to the channel! I'm really happy that you're enjoying the videos. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy what's to come!
Shin - your descriptions are "mouth watering" !! You should "trademark" the look of your face, when the food is as delicious as you describe.
Appreciate that! Trademarking my eating face sounds interesting lol. But probably too much work to actually make happen. Thanks for watching!
Shin's face and expressions give off Iron Chef Chairman Kaga's vibe.
Do you get free meals for RUclips exposure?? How do you get permission to film??
Also the wait staff were so professional and warm. Very knowledgeable I'd definitely go again.
I'm happy to hear that you had the same experience! My service was fantastic!
Shin, you’re amazing. THANK YOU for keeping the reviews up! Great work!
Thank you kindly! I appreciate it and I've got plenty more on the way!
Thank you for sharing your meal with us. It all looked delicious. For 2 people, that price didn’t seem too bad!
Everything looked sooooooooo divine 😍 I want one of everything 🤤 you indulged so so well here!!! Jelly~~~
I definitely went ham in this video lol. It was very good. Thanks for watching Tiffany!
Btw you the goat for showing the entire menu in slow mo 2:23
I enjoyed seeing a good variety of dishes offered there.. great video... thanks
Really happy to hear you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching!
Everything looks fantastic and the price reflects that…
Defiantly on a short list of restaurants I want to try out on my next trip out!
Yes! I had a great meal and I hope you do as well! Thanks for watching Todd!
9 bucks for that sauce? Ripoff central
LOL! I don't think people are looking for value when they go to a Las Vegas steakhouse at this point, but I would agree. I wouldn't order the sauce outside of a RUclips video. Thanks!
😂
@@VegaswithShinthe guy notice the 9 dollar sauce in your entire video lol 😂
the Wagyu and creamed spinach is KETO heaven.
Oh yea totally! Ultra low carb meal right there! Thanks for watching!
Great Review! That surf n turf appetizer with the scallops and short rib looked so delicious! That wagyu strip steak had me drooling!
Such a great restaurant! I'm looking forward to going back when the weather cools down. Thanks for watching!
I like how you take big first bites instead of dainty bites. I'm new to your channel but I really enjoy it so far Shin.
Happy to hear that! I've always taken big bites and I just eat the way I do on the channel. Glad you like it! Thanks for watching!
That premiere cocktail “Smoked Old Fashion” $42!! Wow
Yeah, that one was quite expensive lol! I enjoyed my cocktail at half the price. Thanks for watching!
Made a reservation to Ocean Prime because of this video. I’m in Vegas in a couple weeks and can’t wait to try that surf and turf!!! Awesome vid.
Yes! I hope you have a great meal and an amazing trip to Vegas! Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy the patio though it's pretty hot out now. Thanks for watching!
Shin you’re a “huge fan” of food. Bon Appetite
Yes I am, absolutely! Thanks for watching!
Do u get to write off these meals for tax purposes since RUclips can be considered a business, even though u have your job also?
Yes!! Absolutely! I run my RUclips channel as a sole proprietor and indeed write off all of my meals and equipment. Thanks for watching!
Love that there are a lot of GF modification options. Going to Vegas next Friday. Reservation made. Thanks for the review Shin.
Yes! I noticed that as well. Happy to hear you got a reservation. I hope you enjoy your meal!
In my opinion these prices are 5 years old. Eventually the prime steaks will all he 80+ 😅
Great review of the place. I debated trying this out in Aug when I go with a lady. She loves scallops so I hope she will like them here.
My scallops were incredible and I really enjoyed it! If you do visit, I hope you have a nice meal and an overall great trip this August. Thanks for watching!
What a gorgeous restaurant. Great review
Totally agree. It was beautiful. Thanks for watching!
Oh my goodness Shin, the food looked absolutely amazing. Definitely a must try. Thanks so mucn for bringing us along!
Yes! I really enjoyed myself!
Your server is phine 🤭 The only dish I would not try is the creamed spinach...I hate spinach 🤢
Really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing! 💯❤️
He was also super cool! He was a fantastic server seriously. Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!

First timer visiting Sin City come this August. I definitely will be there.. Thanks Shin!

Happy to hear you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Looks like a cool spot but the name made me think this was Ocean's One 🤦
HAHA! I didn't even think of that. Yes, very different from Ocean One. Thanks for watching panjo!
OMG!!!! I want ALL of that...ALL of it!!!!! :) :): )
It was all good! I definitely recommend! Thanks for watching GL!
I was thinking the other day, what Vegas needs is another overpriced steakhouse...
You have powerful thoughts that manifest into reality sir. Thanks for watching!
You know I love your videos the appetizer round I have to agree the surf and turf the meal round the wagu steak and spinach ❤
Yes! All three were really fantastic. Thanks for watching!
I am looking forward to trying this spot on our next trip. Thank you for the great video!
Awesome! I hope you enjoy your visit and your trip to Las Vegas! Thanks for watching!
Always enjoy your reviews
Happy to hear! Thank you very much for watching!
Just yum!!❤❤😊😊
Yes, incredible meal here!
No ribcap, but I'd settle for the crab cake and surf and turf. I believe this Ocean Prime is connected with the one in Denver.
I know what my order would be.
Thank you!! 😊👍🌻
*ps: I forgot to mention prior my appreciation of your bumper music. It was classic and contributed to the great vibes. 😊👍

I can’t even afford Ocean Prime in Colorado. Vegas? Man….
It is a nice restaurant. And the extra Vegas mark up is very real. But you never know. Well said Shin 👍
Looks wonderful. Is it as noisy as it sounds?
It was quite noisy inside yes. Next time I dine at Ocean Prime will be when the weather cools down for patio seating. Amazing out there and you don't have that indoor noise chamber. Thanks for watching!
