I think Harrah's is better, I like the newly renovated rooms at Harrah's more than at the LINQ but since the hotels are connected you still have easy access to everything at the LINQ like the Promenade.

Had a friend come out here with his buddies for a bachelor party last fall and they stayed at the Linq; I hung out with them one of the nights they were here - pregaming a bit in one of their rooms (standard 2 queens, looked almost identical to yours) and a bit of roulette on the casino floor before going out for the night, in all it was a fun time and the Linq seemed pretty great.

Small rooms but I really appreciate the fact that the rooms have refrigerators, we were able to save some leftovers and it came in handy for sure late night. To be honest if you want to be central strip without a Caesars Price, LINQ is it! Everything was fairly walkable I thought. Hash House a go go was a great breakfast, sometimes it’s a long wait but they text you when the table is ready, so you can hit the room and wait or gamble. Overall I really like the location, my family and I did two nights in October 2021.

My girlfriend and I have stayed at the Linq every time we've visited Vegas in the last 4 years. We've never had a bad experience, and we love its location on the strip & its connection to the monorail. We find that it allows us to hit all of our favorite places without having to worry about driving or Ubering!

I've stayed at the Linq a bunch. Looks like they removed the free chairs at the pool and added more daybeds so they can charge to sit. This is a trend happening at the Caesar Properties and it's ridiculous.

    • @butcho7492
      @butcho7492 2 года назад +5

Since El Dorado bought Caesars the value has gone way down for their properties.

@@butcho7492 I also noticed how things have changed (AND NOT FOR THE BETTER) at "Harrahs, LV" !
I did not like the remodeling of the casino floor! But that is not left up to me of course.
I know quite a few of the workers there, mostly Bartenders and Waitress's and they are NOT happy.
I am local myself and just went there last week and did not like the change at Harrahs.
They are now "remodeling" the Sports Book so I will see how that works out!

Do you have / could you do a video about safety as a solo traveller? I am a female solo traveller and consider myself quite savvy when out and about. However, I'd love to hear other peoples tips/tricks to keeping important things safe in your room while you're out, extra precautions to take while you're there, even going to the pool can sometimes be awkward - thinking what to do with my belongings while I go in the pool, always having to keep facing my sun lounger to keep an eye on it. I've been looking at lockable security boxes/bags, doorstops etc

My biggest issue with the Linq is the long walk to the room, and the puddle of soap that forms on the vanity under the pump bottle.

The long walk exists in all casino hotels. That's why I never stay in a casino hotel. I stay off strip and only go to the specific places I want to visit. Plus, I don't want myself and entire suitcase smelling like smoke for my entire Vegas visit, which is also impossible to avoid staying in a casino.

stayed here for edc in may. check-in process was way more stressful than it needed to be, kiosks weren't working & had to keep being directed to reception which was just 1 person. rooms were small and not enough counter/table space. bathroom lights did not turn on & had to reset them ourselves. rideshare pickup is out of the way + confusing to find. overall, would not stay here again despite it being cheap & midstrip.

Me and my husband stayed in a smokers king room as we like to indulge in 🍃 while in vegas. The smoker rooms are a shit view(linq parking garage) but the room was roomy clean. We didnt have any hang soap, but we always bring our own anyways. We have stayed here 2 times and love it. My only big con is that they do not take cash whatsoever so make sure you have your money on your debit or credit card available for your stay. We are going to stay at a different hotel next time but the linq will always have our hearts.

It's one of my favorites and I've stayed there the most because of that amazing location. However, those room prices are a far cry from the days of the Imperial Palace when I would get the same room, mid-week for $17-$18, in the days before resort fees. So it was about $20 a night with tax. OMG I'm old 😢

I stayed at the Linq. They did the best they could with an old building, but the building is built for another time. Not enough elevators, and crowded in areas. The rooms are updated and clean. It wasn't as cheap as advertised ... upcharges on everything (but that's Vegas). The best part is the location and closeness to the Promenade. I'd give it 3/5. I'm trying to be fair. If you're used to staying in higher-end Vegas hotels you won't like it. First-timers or on a budget - it's good. There are other budget options. It is a party hotel - full disclosure, that's not my bag.

We stayed at LINQ about 3 years ago and had no issues with it. Refrigerator was tiny and not super powerful but it kept our leftovers cold. I really don't care about hotels, as long as it is clean, comfy bed and no major issues like broken AC then all is good.

I'm pretty sure if you take your receipt to the rewards desk you can get your points that way. MGM does anyway...

Stayed there once and that was enough for me. When in Vegas you don't spend a lot of time just chilling in the room but even for sleeping, the LINQ wasn't impressive enough me to go back.
    Harrah's is my favorite!

We stayed precovid and it was great. Only issue is our room literally saw the line for in and out. I lived on the east coast and moved to cali and then back east so it was trouble lol.

Woof…Frozen Bailey’s: Ruby ……. I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ them but am such a short hitter that I can barely finish one….and then I do really really stupid things…..gambling-wise, that is!
My tip: bring an insulated cup and pour your freeze into that so your hand doesn’t get sloppy wet and frozen while you enjoy…..Serious drinks require serious prep! Thanks for the nice info!

Sucks that they took out the balconies. $250 sounds like way too much for a place like that.

I am so glad you gave such an honest review of this property. It is definitely not for an older crowd. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in Las Vegas and I have been to many. Years ago when this hotel was remodled and became the Linq, we decided to split our time between the Mirage and The Linq. One thing to mention is this hotel is not for anyone who has mobility issues. My sister had to use a scooter because of mobility issues. We first checked in to the Mirage and it was one of the best properties on the strip. Then we got to the Linq. I will just say the biggest insult was when the front desk agent said We dont cater to those pointing at my sister in her scooter. It was bad enough that my sister felt embarrassed because her health was failing at that point but to have someone do that was horrible. Like I said my sister felt like a queen zipping around the Mirage and then like dirt at the Linq.

That's really good to know. I need to use a wheelchair at times as I can only walk short distances. You don't realize how inaccessible some of these places are until you need help. Thick carpets and cobblestones are my nemesis as I use a manual wheelchair. So hard to propel yourself.

Highly not recommended for low mobility people. Most of the casino floors have stair access only at the Linq, although it’s been a few years since I was last there.

The elevators do get busy there but there is a really cool hidden stairwell w a mural that covers the whole thing from the pool all the way down to casino floor

If anyone ever goes to New Orleans, Molly’s Irish pub has that Bailey’s espresso! It’s a perfect place for a frozen drink like that because it’s ever hotter there than Vegas! 🥵 so good too 😋

Every time I’m in Vegas I have stayed at that hotel even when it was the Pagoda, it’s on the strip, easy access to forum and bus stop to outlet mall or fashion island. Issue was that I asked for a refrigerator in my room and they said their would be an extra charge. Tried the outdoor patio during my pre Easter holiday and it was so busy.
