I’ve learned to bring my own alcohol 😂 sounds dumb but it’s smart honestly. Pregame as much as possible. Walk around with a few drinks before grabbing more outside of your room. Also to book promotions like $50 food credit and $20 free play! Super useful. That $50 pays for buffet passes… and the buffets are always a yes 🔥 and MyVEGAS of course. Best money saver honestly!

Definitely join the rewards and let them know how much you are spending. I took your advice last year when we stayed at the Bellagio and charged most things to the room and used my MGM players card when gambling. A year later, I got an offer from MGM in my email and we just booked a trip with 3 comped nights. This is after ONE trip to Vegas. It's saving us a ton on our next trip! We booked Park MGM! Love you Ruby! I'm so glad your channel is doing so well! 🥰

It's nothing for them to give you a free hotel room it just means that you are willing to spend a lot of money and that you'll come back and spend a whole bunch more money. You're paying for it in your gambling and your overpriced meals.

we like 4Queens downtown. Its a very conservative hotel, less expensive. It's not flashy. BUT it is right on Fremont street and all that goes on there. There's the cafe in the hotel that over looks Fremont street which is always fun to eat and watch the people.

We book directly with the hotel, but we call the hotel and work with the host to find the best price. Expedia was triple the price of what we got through the hotel. We normally stay at the same hotel, so that helps getting the best price.

We stay at the Wynn Encore about three times a year. We bring a travel size drip coffee maker and a 7-cup Zero Pitcher (purchased on Amazon) for as much purified water and coffee as we want. I throw a few empty water bottle in the luggage to put creamer and water in when we get to the hotel. I will get creamer at Walgreens or from the cafe. I’ll fill the ice bucket with ice to keep the creamer cold. I set up a little bistro in the bathroom and it works great. We save at least $150 on water and coffee on a four day trip.

My biggest tip for saving money which you sort of covered is GO BIG one time and then never pay for a room again. Maybe it’s different for a more frequent traveler but for someone like me who goes to Vegas once maybe twice a year, I never pay for a room.
For my 30th, my fiance and I went to Cosmo, booked a room for 3 nights with an Identity (now MGM rewards) account. Had dinners at the resort, gambled there, made sure we used our rewards card with everything. Ever since that trip, I have never had to pay for a room at the Cosmo. I’ve gone back at least 4 or 5 times. I use miles for my flights from NY, stay there for free and all my money goes to food and gambling.
And while yes, all the comps are there to take my money at the Casino, last time I was there I left $5700 up from Roulette and Craps. Sooo take that Vegas!!!

    Heres a few things
Booking direct: If you have the gold rewards with Caesars, you can easily get comped to $50 a night before resort fees at Linq, Harrah's, and a few others. I went this spring to Vegas for Sick New World and trip was from Tuesday to Saturday and my total room cost was $355.
Cheap food: Either use MyVegas for food options or go the Linq Promenade.
If you need to move around the strip, monorails and the deuce will be your friend. 24 hour bus pass is $8 and goes all the way from the airport to Fremont strip.

I was browsing the Expedia site last night for a trip into that area in Nov. Now, I am nervous about booking through Expedia. Lol. I had the circumstances to happen to myself, but the site was Priceline. I was visiting Mobile. Ala, reserved and paid for the room at the Admiral hotel. The reservation wasn't in the system. I am glad I brought a paper copy of the reservation, etc. The hotel front desk was kind and worked the circumstances out. Thank goodness. 😅😅😅. Sending positivity from Texas

I work in hotels, every place has a different policy but the last place I worked and my current job doesn’t allow you to cancel thru us if you use Expedia. We constantly have people for Expedia calling trying to “authorize a cancellation” if you book thru Expedia, you have to cancel thru Expedia. So that may be where some of peoples frustrations come from with them.

For anyone driving to Vegas and staying on the strip, a tip is to always bring a small cooler with you and a pack of water bottles (and whatever other drinks you wanna keep in your room) in your room and fill up your cooler from the ice machine on your floor to keep your drinks cold especially in the summer! Most of the strip hotels dont have an empty fridge that you can store your own things in- they usually will have their own provided items that cost an arm and a leg. You end up saving tons on cold water this way!

My favorite ways to save money are packing a hot water kettle to make morning tea and oatmeal for breakfast. Packing snacks like apples, pretzels, and granola bars while out and about. Plus eating at the food courts or visiting a grocery store for grab and go items. We often stay at Mandalay Bay and visit the Whole Foods nearby for their salad bar. Dining out at lunch is often lower cost than dinner menus and I like to pick up some salsa and chips from the store for evening snacks in the room. My Vegas gave us free tickets to the Illuminarium recently which saved us $35 per person. Love your videos!

One that I have found over the years is what we call Hotel Roulette. If something is wrong with your room, respectfully let the front desk know and act really disappointed (again, VERY respectfully). Use to bring gallons of liquor to Vegas. Save weight. Invest in rum runners. People use them to sneak liquor on cruise ships but they're battle tested for suitcases and won't have to worry about glass bottles of alcohol breaking in your checked bag. They're also travel friendly for purses and backpacks while walking the strip. Also a drink jug to walk with. Water or other. I drink a lot in vegas.......ALOT. used the my Vegas app got comped a room at the bellagio. Rooms were going for 450 that might. Got a free upgrade to a 1 bedroom spa suite on the top floor. 1000 dollar room. 2 for 1 brunch at the bellagio and mgm grand. Try not to pay full price for anything in Vegas

@@jchen1436 We usually ask at the check out desk. You can be specific when asking. I often ask to have the resort fee waved at a minimum. I say something like, "did I spend enough to at least get our resort fee waived?" Works about half the time but depends on what we spend. Hope that helps some, cheers

Ruby, my ultimate money saving LVNV tip is to stop at WALMART on the way from the airport to the hotel, and stock up on cases of water, energy drinks, iced coffees, etc, as well as snacks like cliff bars and other on-the-go snacks. And don't forget a little bit of alcohol for the room!
The waters are, honestly, my #1 Vegas hack, and it's something that so many first-timers don't think about. Getting water in Vegas is hard/expensive, but spending $15 for 4 cases of water for your room will go a long way towards the dreaded Vegas dehydration hangover.
The snacks are great if you want to hit the pool early, and don't want to spend $40 on breakfast on property. And having a Cliff bar before heading out for the night helps avoid drunk food purchases.

This is a great video. Hubs and I have been to Vegas twice, and each time we came Sunday-Wednesday. Flights (from Cincinnati) were more than I wanted to spend both times. Tuesday-Friday saves around $100 each. Brilliant! Also, I never thought about charging everything to the room, and that would have helped us on our last trip for sure. We stayed at the Bellagio in a Salone Suite - definitely not money saving but worth it! :)

Great video Ruby, and lots of wonderful tips! Some rooms no longer have refrigerators or the refrigerators are used for the minibar items. The daily charge for a refrigerator can be expensive. You can get a free refrigerator if you tell them that you have medication that requires refrigeration. I actually do have medication that requires refrigeration, but I can tell you that they I’ve never asked to look at it. Even if you fib to get a free refrigerator, and you don’t have any medication, I don’t feel it’s that bad , as you are paying such large resort fees. Sometimes the refrigerators are small, but they are still good for keeping a few drinks and items cold.
