This trailer screwed up the whole experience for so many people, imagine if they just left it for the theaters and you saw Wonderwoman and Doomsday for the first time on screen

The thing about this movie is that everyone has expectations not only for the movie itself but also the characters. Everybody wants to see their owns vision of Batman and Superman. Unlike a Marvel movie because let's be honest who actually has expectations for any of those characters? They're just the next movie in a long line of never-ending sequels

When people complain about spoilers, did it never really come across their mind for the last 2 years that Batman/Superman will team up to fight villains? I mean like you need to watch this trailer in order to know that???? Personally i have no problem with the trailer and I'm still so excited for the movie, but despite all the comments i think what is really bothering people is giving away the scenes not the plot twists.

Yes, we know Supes and Bats will team up, but since there's a "Justice League" movie on the horizon, I thought maybe they'd wait until then, or maybe hint at it at the end of this flick. This trailer really grew on me, I wasn't too sure at first I mean I like it but I was a bit uneasy. Now I watch it and I fucking love it and I can't wait for this movie to be out!
Yeah, I felt the same way. The trailer had a different momentum and originally I saw the Lex intro scene as stopping the whole thing cold. But as you say, with repeated viewings I see it working because the character of Lex need to have a societal persona and it's creates levity for what ultimately will be a film with a heavy mood.

Batmans strengh is not his strength. He took down bigger guys than doomsday like Darkseid without throwing a single punch. Something the entire justice league could not. Because he would never give up and would sacrifice more than any of them.

Astro Enthused He basically sees Superman as a ticking time bomb. Sure Supes hasn't done anything yet, but Batman has seen many allies become villains, so he's gonna try to kill Supes before that happens. Also the fight at Metropolis showed him how destructive Superman can be.

And I found the Martha scene actually good. Could it had been executed better? Absolutely. But most Batman movies and cartoons point out that his parents' deaths haunt him even in his adulthood.
That is because Star Wars doesn't need to sell us on story. We just need to see enough characters to get us exited. However, BvS is the start of a new franchise therefore they have to sell us on story as well

Why is everyone criticizing this movie for having too many characters, and generally too much going on in one film? What about Marvel? Captain America Civil War is featuring every freakin avenger possible and nobody's complaining about that.
+Adrian Smajlaj (“celticsbanner18”) I think it is, because most characters in Civil War, including the main two protagonists have already had several movies of exposition (including several where they alreday appeared together) and character arc so that they can branch right away to the main plot of this movie , which is actually the consequence of all that has happened between them in previous movies. Whereas here, bar Superman all the others in BvS, including a new Batman will be introduced and will take away time from the main plot just for character exposition, settings, relation building, increasing the likelihood of becoming too bloated and messy.

What some people miss or forget is that part of the film's plot is to build a relationship between the two main characters, they aren't suppose to know each other personally and then have a falling out. The other new supporting characters are suppose to do the same thing as well, build a relationship whether its one of dislike (Lex) or one of common goals (Wonder Woman). After all it is a prequel to Justice League so I would say it isn't taking away from the main plot.

Positives: Ben Affleck as Batman. Henry Cavill as Superman. Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Negatives: Jesse Eisenberg as Jesse Eisenberg and not Lex. The WHOLE plot of the movie has been shown. Doomsday looks like a rip off of Abomination in The Incredible Hulk.

Okay, I am going to get this off my chest, because this is really bugging me.... Why is it everyone is complaining about the weapon Batman is using at the end and why are people complaining about the cannons on the bat mobile? If you have read the comics, read the books, watched any of the cartoons, or watched any of the movies, Batman has always used guns. His graple line launcher is a grappling gun, he uses sonic guns. When he is fighting meta humans like Superman he uses explosives and missile launchers. He doesn't use hand guns and he doesn't use weapons with the intent to kill. In the Dark Knight Returns the machine guns he had on the bat mobile which was a TANK shot rubber bullets. In the comics he is a trained marksman it goes along with his expertise in knowing every fighting style and weapons training. The Keaton bat mobile had 50 calibre machine guns. The Tumbler had cannons on it. He even used an EMP gun.

The moment where Wonder Woman shows up to save Batman would have been such an Epic theater moment. Everyone Holding their breath waiting for Supes to come save him so they could face the real threat together only to see a new ally come to the rescue. I mourn the great crowd experience that could have been.

There is no competition. The dumbest excuse to hate on this movie is the fact the Justice League members would make appearances in a movie called Batman v Superman: DAWN OF JUSTICE! Do they even read? Besides, everyone was happy to see all the members of the Avengers team up together, so why can't we be happy to see Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman on the big screen? Let DC do its own thing; they might have some tricks up their sleeves.
Marvel has grown a fanbase over the time dc has been out of the game, and so they have billions of twelve year olds who will defend the company with their lives, despite never even picking up a comicbook. So, these marvel fanboys like to go around the internet looking for DC stuff to criticize, because they know that if this movie is successful, DC will put Marvel in a position that they wont be able to be as popular as DC. So, they make it their mission to trash the hell out of this movie and try to minimze the people who want to watch it by filling their minds with bad ideas about the film

Themyscira scenes were filmed in New Mexico haven't seen that yet 13. what about the Gotham v Metropolis football scene that was the first scene shot for the movie how will that play out? 14. ironically we haven't heard WW say a single word yet how exactly is Gal portraying her? 15. At what point in the movie do Bats and Supes discover each other's secret identities? 16. EW showed superman in Wayne Manor how is that scene going to play out? 17. What about the Kryptonite how exactly will that be utilised? 18. Exactly how does the trinity take out Doomsday? 19. does Luthor get exposed for what he is by the end of the movie to the general public - it's obvious Lois knows he's evil from the trailer but does the rest of the world by the end? 20. How exactly does Luthor go bald is it Kryptonite poisoning or something else? Even if you can manage answer one of the questions you could be wrong. Now,I'm going to give my own review on #BatmanvSuperman #DawnOfJustice but just on few specific details. First off it was fully awesome, it began with Clark Kent aka #Superman and Bruce Wayne aka #Batman both discussing about both of their point of views about their alter egos until Lex Luthor jr steps in and playful greet both Clark and Bruce, I thought it was very humorous especially he said about Clark's hand shake, "You do not want to pick a fight with this guy." Then the trailer showed Bruce was willing to wage war on #Superman because according to the synopsis to the movie Bruce is too afraid to think about what would happen if Superman is left unchecked, in comics, #Batman have been a paranoid towards something very unfamiliar to the world, next the trailer showed #Batman and #Superman were duking it out, where #Superman was saying to #Batman "Don't get up, if I wanted to you'd be dead already", that right there to me is text book #Superman, Henry Cavill is doing a wonderful job playing that character. And then things got even interesting: Doomsday entered the scene that was so cool, Lex jr used Zod's DNA to create him which it gave Doomsday heat vision/breath which I find it over-the-top excellent, it may not how that happened but we'll just have to wait to see that is correct or not. Okay I'll admit showing Doomsday in the trailer was a bit too revealing but come on people that alone isn't much of a spoiler, we all knew that Doomsday would show up in this movie and you people act like you've seen the whole movie which it really isn't. Another reason why most people are up in arms about the trailer is that it showed #Batman, #Superman and #WonderWoman standing together at the end of the trailer and Doomsday enter the scene right before it because they are really believe that it's about #Batman going up against #Superman. Well news flash to these people, it is not what this movie is about at all, you see most people have mistaken the title Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice which led them believe it's some kind of a versus movie, the letter "v" doesn't necessarily mean it stands for versus, now a I said before it's not solely about #Superman and #Batman fighting each other, it's about both of them having different points of view, and the Dawn of Justice part is where Diana and Doomsday make their appearance which it make a lot of sense for the title. Zack Snyder specifically said they made it "v" because they didn't wanna call it a versus movie, since that's not what it is. Lastly, that trailer was for general audience not just for us comic book fans and fanboys alike. I truly hope this really shed some light on this.

The thing about this movie is that everyone has expectations not only for the movie itself but also the characters. Everybody wants to see their owns vision of Batman and Superman. This trailer really grew on me, I wasn't too sure at first I mean I like it but I was a bit uneasy. Now I watch it and I fucking love it and I can't wait for this movie to be out!
Yeah, I felt the same way. The trailer had a different momentum and originally I saw the Lex intro scene as stopping the whole thing cold. But as you say, with repeated viewings I see it working because the character of Lex need to have a societal persona and it's creates levity for what ultimately will be a film with a heavy mood.

I think it is, because most characters in Civil War, including the main two protagonists have already had several movies of exposition (including several where they alreday appeared together) and character arc so that they can branch right away to the main plot of this movie , which is actually the consequence of all that has happened between them in previous movies.
Whereas here, bar Superman all the others in BvS, including a new Batman will be introduced and will take away time from the main plot just for character exposition, settings, relation building, increasing the likelihood of becoming too bloated and messy.

What some people miss or forget is that part of the film's plot is to build a relationship between the two main characters, they aren't suppose to know each other personally and then have a falling out. The other new supporting characters are suppose to do the same thing as well, build a relationship whether its one of dislike (Lex) or one of common goals (Wonder Woman). After all it is a prequel to Justice League so I would say it isn't taking away from the main plot.

Okay, I am going to get this off my chest, because this is really bugging me.... Why is it everyone is complaining about the weapon Batman is using at the end and why are people complaining about the cannons on the bat mobile? If you have read the comics, read the books, watched any of the cartoons, or watched any of the movies, Batman has always used guns. His graple line launcher is a grappling gun, he uses sonic guns. When he is fighting meta humans like Superman he uses explosives and missile launchers. He doesn't use hand guns and he doesn't use weapons with the intent to kill. In the Dark Knight Returns the machine guns he had on the bat mobile which was a TANK shot rubber bullets. In the comics he is a trained marksman it goes along with his expertise in knowing every fighting style and weapons training. The Keaton bat mobile had 50 calibre machine guns. The Tumbler had cannons on it. He even used an EMP gun.

To the people that think this trailer showing Batman and Superman united is a "spoiler" did you actually think one of them was going to die or just separate? With this being the formation of the Justice League for future movies, this was the ONLY way it was going to go.

C'mon guys, the Age of Ultron and Ant-Man trailers pretty much spoiled their respective films just as much: Ultron's robot army, Vision, the Yellowjacket-Thomas the Tank Engine fight scene.

I just don't understand the hate there is for this movie.
What's to hate about it? The movie isn't even out yet. Fanboys just judge a movie by a two minute trailer.

The problem is Marvel fanboys just talk trash about this movie; whether it's about Ben Affleck as Batman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, or Zack Snyder directing the movie, because they don't want the DC Cinematic Universe to succeed or beat Marvel. There is no competition. The dumbest excuse to hate on this movie is the fact the Justice League members would make appearances in a movie called Batman v Superman: DAWN OF JUSTICE! Do they even read? Besides, everyone was happy to see all the members of the Avengers team up together, so why can't we be happy to see Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman on the big screen? Let DC do its own thing; they might have some tricks up their sleeves.
Marvel has grown a fanbase over the time dc has been out of the game, and so they have billions of twelve year olds who will defend the company with their lives, despite never even picking up a comicbook. 5. Will anyone die?
6. What happens during the superman court room scene?
7. Is the desert sequence a nightmare or is it Wonder Woman seeing into the future?
8. Will there be a scene of joker killing Todd?
9. What is Luthors real agenda because all we saw was his eccentric side he exemplifies in public how does he act when he's alone?
9. Who exactly is Scoot Mcnairy, Callan Mulvey and Jena Malone playing?
10. what about that underwater sequence in trailer 1?
11. what are the parademons doing in the desert sequence?
12. Themyscira scenes were filmed in New Mexico haven't seen that yet
13. what about the Gotham v Metropolis football scene that was the first scene shot for the movie how will that play out?
14. ironically we haven't heard WW say a single word yet how exactly is Gal portraying her?
15. At what point in the movie do Bats and Supes discover each other's secret identities?
16. EW showed superman in Wayne Manor how is that scene going to play out?
17. What about the Kryptonite how exactly will that be utilised?
18. Exactly how does the trinity take out Doomsday?
19. does Luthor get exposed for what he is by the end of the movie to the general public - it's obvious Lois knows he's evil from the trailer but does the rest of the world by the end?
20. How exactly does Luthor go bald is it Kryptonite poisoning or something else?
Even if you can manage answer one of the questions you could be wrong.
Now,I'm going to give my own review on #BatmanvSuperman #DawnOfJustice but just on few specific details. First off it was fully awesome, it began with Clark Kent aka #Superman and Bruce Wayne aka #Batman both discussing about both of their point of views about their alter egos until Lex Luthor jr steps in and playful greet both Clark and Bruce, I thought it was very humorous especially he said about Clark's hand shake, "You do not want to pick a fight with this guy."
Then the trailer showed Bruce was willing to wage war on #Superman because according to the synopsis to the movie Bruce is too afraid to think about what would happen if Superman is left unchecked, in comics, #Batman have been a paranoid towards something very unfamiliar to the world, next the trailer showed #Batman and #Superman were duking it out, where #Superman was saying to #Batman "Don't get up, if I wanted to you'd be dead already", that right there to me is text book #Superman, Henry Cavill is doing a wonderful job playing that character.
And then things got even interesting: Doomsday entered the scene that was so cool, Lex jr used Zod's DNA to create him which it gave Doomsday heat vision/breath which I find it over-the-top excellent, it may not how that happened but we'll just have to wait to see that is correct or not. Okay I'll admit showing Doomsday in the trailer was a bit too revealing but come on people that alone isn't much of a spoiler, we all knew that Doomsday would show up in this movie and you people act like you've seen the whole movie which it really isn't.
Another reason why most people are up in arms about the trailer is that it showed #Batman, #Superman and #WonderWoman standing together at the end of the trailer and Doomsday enter the scene right before it because they are really believe that it's about #Batman going up against #Superman. Well news flash to these people, it is not what this movie is about at all, you see most people have mistaken the title Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice which led them believe it's some kind of a versus movie, the letter "v" doesn't necessarily mean it stands for versus, now a I said before it's not solely about #Superman and #Batman fighting each other, it's about both of them having different points of view, and the Dawn of Justice part is where Diana and Doomsday make their appearance which it make a lot of sense for the title. Zack Snyder specifically said they made it "v" because they didn't wanna call it a versus movie, since that's not what it is.
Lastly, that trailer was for general audience not just for us comic book fans and fanboys alike.
I truly hope this really shed some light on this.
