Don't worry I enjoyed it a lot too. Been so disappointed in marvel lately, I started rewatching the old ones, and compared to nowadays marvel, all marvel movies up until no way home is such a masterpiece

@@sethurott9927 Avengers: Age of Ultron was about the journey of the Avengers to become beings of mythology, true heroes after confronting their dark reflection in the form of Ultron, who believes that saviour figures like the Avengers are holding humanity back.
We get dreams sequences showing Tony's fear about his lack of control and fear of the future (which later manifests into Ultron). We're shown Natasha's fear that she'll never be anything more than the manipulative killing machine the people in her past made her into. We're shown Captain America's fear that without war, he has no place or home in the world.
Ultron sees himself as the saviour the Avengers wish they could be and in a way he has a point. When Ultron first meets the team, they're celebrating a victory that in Ultron's mind they haven't earned. People like Strucker are still around standing in the way of real peace. Ultron comes to the conclusion that as long as humanity has free will, peace will never be achievable. Ultron is desperate for control to a point where he is willing to get the population down so he can rule over what's left and force them to act in accordance to his idea of morality. Ultron's way of achieving peace would be undeniably better for the world statistically, but when you take away humanity's choice to do bad, you also take away any chance for personal growth. We see this in Nick Fury and how much he's changed since Winter Soldier.
There's a Greek marble statue of the Avengers at the end of Age of Ultron. Hawkeye's wife calls the Avengers "gods." The Avengers are brought down to earth (Clint's farm) from high above the world (Avengers tower) to be reminded what the most important part of being a hero is; preserving life. The Avengers end up with a bunker that much like Hawkeye's farm is closer to the ground and more connected to humanity. This shows that Stark and by extension the Avengers have overcome their resentment and need for control and have come the accept their role in the world as preservers of life.
Also Vision is Jesus and him lifting Mjolnir shows that the Avengers have divine approval.

"Ultron thinks we're monsters, that we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him, it's about whether he's right." - Captain America
The reason Zack Snyder's movies are so terrible is because there's no conflict or clash of ideologies. When the heros fight the villains in a Zack Snyder film, it has all the depth of a violent football match.
Honestly this is probably the best marvel trailer. The song is perfect and it makes you terrified of what ultron is going to do. If only the movie had more stakes
Ultron with his actions caused Accords, Civil War, Infinity War and Snap.
Those are consequences not stakes, it's easy to find thousand of consequences from every movie leading up to the last.

Although this film wasn’t liked by many, you have to admit that it really set up every Marvel studios Instalment that released after the movie. It started Civil War (Sokovia Accords and Zemo), it made WandaVision a reality, it teased the Infinity stones, Teased Thanos, Created the Vision, Teased Steve’s “worthiness” to Mjolnir, and so much more. This film is one of the reasons why the latest Marvel projects were a success.
Edit: 1K in 4 days pretty much shows how many people are still watching this trailer.

While I loved the tone of the trailer I expected the movie to not really be like it, all the MCU movies have dark elements in them but they're never full on dark and gritty, I mean even Endgame had lighthearted and funny moments
It carried a dark grim tone. Iron man confronting his paranoia. the twins made by the mind stone. Ultron wanting to annhilate the human race. The death of the mutant running man forgot his name. The dark visions betrothed by Scarlet Witch. The political climate of people under stress by the Avengers and whatnot. The color palettes were dark. Ultron seeing the evil in man and its solution to restart with a more evolutionized cybernetic human race.
I miss being so hyped for these movies...

This could’ve been the MCU’s equivalent of “The Empire Strikes back” if they went along with this trailer’s dark tone.
They had all the right tools to make it work, *especially* James Spader as Ultron. But they dropped the ball.

Ultron should have been one of the best villains. The actor was cast perfectly. If they made the movie as dark as the trailer had made it seem it was going to be, then it would be one of the greats, but I personally have this movie higher than most probably. MAKE ULTRON COME BACK PLEASE!!

Personally, if you’ve watched every single marvel movie before IW and Endgame, IW just makes so much more sense and is so much more perfect. Endgame didn’t live up to its potential. I don’t hate Endgame but Infinity War was so much more better. Endgame wasn’t that bad though. I wasn’t disappointed, just not satisfied

We got Wanda and Vision from this movie. 1 year later, they almost tore apart in Civil War. Another 2 years later, they joined the Infinity War, but both were killed. Wanda returned in Endgame, and created what we know is the Westview Anomaly. That started Phase 4. She came back in Multiverse of Madness and we thought she died. We don’t know when they’ll be back. But until Marvel announces that, we’ll be waiting and watching their story until they do.
