Exactly. Disney… you have taken so much liberty with Star Wars and the Jedi lore, why didn’t you just decide to floor it, and give Rey and Ben a happily ever after? You’re Disney, for crying out loud. You changed the ending of the Little Mermaid so it wouldn’t be so tragic. And now you give us, *SIGH*, this?

@Michael Hewitt-Clarke Yeah he had potential to be an interesting character but in the last jedi they put him on the most boring mission ever and he was with rose who was the worst character ever. Honestly, they should have had Finn Kamikaze into the first orders laser weapon at the end of the movie so he could have at least done something somewhat useful because in the next movie all he does is scream "REEYYY" and "THEY FLY NOW?" and he creates an undeveloped plot about the possibility of him being force sensitive that goes nowehere and is never finished or talked about at the end of the movie. He literally does nothing in the last movie so it would have been better off if he just died in the second movie.

I remember being so excited for this movie. Even though the sequels weren’t nearly as good as they could have been we will always have this phenomenal trailer to watch every now and again. Remembering a promising start to something that could’ve been so much more.

Man a force sensitive duo of Finn and Rey woulda been so cool. Boyega was on fire in every scene he had. Last Jedi really messed up by sending him on his own for most of the movie

Behold... the extreme divisions.
It wasn't very well planned out. As decent as the possible potential and some of the designs were, there was either not a decent amount of time to make a good story, or they didn't try. Thus the potential was wasted.
I wish the fanbase would reunite again, I miss the days where it was more likely for me to have a fun chat with other fans. Now your more likely to start an argument

Man, the magic back then, it was truly surreal. 2015 feels like a lifetime away. Everything back then feels so much more simpler, there was so much joy in the air. I can't remember a more exciting time to be alive, and I was only a kid! Such an incredible moment we all got to share, through this trailer, through going to the cinema; it all felt so special, so euphoric - an excitement like nothing else any of us had experienced for. None of us realised how good we had it. I've never had a feeling like it since, and I must say, I am oh-so glad I got to experience it.

And afterwards, although it was derivative of the original - you still felt an excitement and wonder. The mysteries of what happened and what was going to happen kept you excited.
Although people argue in defence of VIII and IX, they destroyed that sense of mystery and wonder. Particularly VIII acted like you were dumb for caring about this galaxy to begin with. It punctured the imagination people had.

@@rewild6134I was luckily old enough to remember seeing the revenge of the sith with my dad and man that movie was filled with thrill but also it scarred me and scared me for life. It felt like a dark movie with just mysterious elements all around it. Seeing anakin burn and seeing general grievous was enough to give me nightmares for a while.
Remember when the fanbase wasn’t divided and we were all hyped for this movie and enjoyed it? Good times.

Adjusted for inflation, Gone with the Wind is agreed to be the most successful movie of all time. Whether this beats Avatar will depend how well it does in China.
None of the Star Wars films have been shown there, but soon all six of the previous films will be available on the internet. If they build up a following then this will be released in theatres, that could easily add a billion dollars to box office.

Good points. But how profitable a movie is can't just be measured by the box office.
Cinemas get only a small percentage of the ticket price in the early weeks. They make their money at the concession stands. Later in the run the percentage of the ticket price cinemas keep increases.
The total costs with marketing & promotion are over $400, so Disney should be well into profit within a month. Buying Lucasfilm was a great deal for Disney.
George sold to Disney for $4.05 billion (half in cash & half in Disney shares.) If he's kept the shares he's done well. The shares have more than doubled in price since the deal was completed.

Fry star wars was mostly hyped up in us and in European countries and it was not big in Asia (except Japan) but Avengers endgame was a bigger hit in USA , European countries and also in Asia and one thing also Avengers endgame is the highest grossing movie of all time and if you check the international box office of star wars and Avengers endgame the latter has made 800 million more outside internationally. I'm not a Star wars guy but I am definitely a indiana Jones fan

This trailer was so unbelievably good. Brings tears to my eyes, they truly capture the excitement of being a Star Wars fan. Force awakens brought so much hype with it that it still feels like one of the truest Star Wars movies to me
the thing with disney that i have always wondered, they have amazing vfx, amazing scenes, but what they truly lack on is writing. I remember being so hyped for ep 8 and ep 9 and then the infamous "somehow palpatine returned"
@@NeolithicalX Disney doesn't just have a writing staff that writes all their movies. They have different creative teams for every movie. Disney is as responsible for the writing in - for example - Pixar's best movies as they are for the writing in the new trilogy

I was 14 when I first watched this trailer…it’s been 8 years now and even as an adult, I STILL get chills. Best trailer ever - even if the movie didn’t live up to its potential.

*I'm a deaf man now. But, I wasn't always deaf you see! I unfortunately have a horrible disease called Mineres Disease and Usher Type 3 Syndrome. This makes a person lose their hearing over time, sadly.. I've watched all the Star Wars movies in my life while I could still hear. I went deaf nearly 7 years ago but I am going to watch this new Star Wars movie when it comes out! I am NOT going to let my disability stop me from enjoying my life anymore!! I may not be able to hear but I will never EVER forget the star wars theme.... I can still hear that wonderful theme in my memories and when this movie is released, I am going to go to the movie theater and I am going to hold my chin up and be proud that I am alive in the ERA of the Star Wars movies and I am going to watch this as if I could actually still hear..
Please, if anyone is disabled reading this, please know that you are still human. You are still loved and don't let anyone tell you otherwise because if they do, then they are NOT worth your time in your life.

Yes. I live in England, I knew of both Daisy & John, so I have no worry about the acting. Which is just as well, because much will depend on their performances. My favourite scene so far in all the teasers, trailers & TV spots was when Rey & Finn exchange names
So glad they went back to using models & building real sets. Fun fact, they didn't get BB-8 fully working until a week before principle shooting started.

+Ryusuta After comparing the trailer of The Phantom Menace to this, the one thing that's blindingly obviously missing from the former that's flowing from the latter is HEART. This trailer is brimming with J J's love for the original characters, the original story, and the new guys. They look afraid, determined, tearful, the works! It's going to be wonderful! ^_^ If Han and Leia have one more "I love you" "I know" moment for old times, I'll be ecstatic! X-D
+Ryusuta Apparently JJ Abrams has listened to the complaints about too much CGI in the prequel trilogies and is not using near as much as Lucas did for the characters and backgrounds.
However, I'm still a little skeptical about how good this movie is actually going to be, I'll give it a chance and keep an open mind but I'm just as prepared for this movie to totally bomb as I am for it to be totally awesome.

I thought the movie was really good it was just the next two that was awful tbh I liked rouge one as well
This movie was really really solid imo, very great set up for all the characters and many minor issues that don't effect if too much. But especially when you compare it to the next 2 hot garbage movies it honestly looks like a jewel.

@@bobthebuilder8886 they’re making the obi wan Kenobi series. Honestly we don’t need anymore about obi wan after his series because his story is complete and there isn’t really much else to add on. He’s my favorite jedi and I feel that almost everything about his story has been told and the obi wan series is promising so we don’t anything other than that to possibly ruin him.
@ZuaxCS he was on there for 19 years and think about it, a lot of his time there was just being alone studying the force and watching after Luke so other than what will happen in the series, the rest of his time there is pretty boring with him just growing wiser and wiser

+Merchaant SO MUCH HYPE over six movies. Ridiculous. My childhood was Star Trek which had over 400 separate stories (one per week for over 20 years). Also Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, Quantum Leap, the X-Files, Hercules, Xena, Stargate, and Babylon 5. Those titles occupied FAR more of my childhood than the few drops-in-the-bucket from six space war movies

I come back and watch this trailer at times, when I need to feel feelings.
Forever this trilogy will be known for missteps and missed opportunities. It's kinda heartbreaking knowing what we'll never have again.

the sequel trilogy is better than the preqeul trilogy quality wise as the prequels even though i love them are atrocious but atleast the preqeuls are always fun and creative something this trilogy lacked.

Does it borrow some elements from A New Hope? Sure it does, but never does it feel like stealing or pointless nostalgia. It perfectly blends old and new, creating new, nuanced characters that click together with familiar faces. All in all, I give The Force Awakens a solid 10/10, while being ranked as either my third or second favorite Star Wars film.

The Mad Max Fury Road trailers literally have nothing away about the plot, and even in the movie there was very little context. And it has 97% on RT. I think this movie is going to be just as fantastic!!
