I loved the film more than the original avengers
I loved the film, and i loved ultron. I love the way ultron speaks, everything he says sounds ominous even when he is not saying anything scary, it's those little pauses he takes when he speaks that makes him sounds so foreboding, like he is always up to something bad. He is my favourite villain so far.

(i don't know how much 9's there are,tbh), and that's because they're different universes. I think they didn't want a gal dual wielding pistols in this day and age. 1. Mini lightsabers will make fun toys for black widow cosplayers. 2. Parents won't want to buy a black widow pistol set for their kids. 3. You get to sidestep gun violence arguments. 4. Scarlett Johansson would probably prefer her character to be in hand to hand combat, rather than hiding behind taxis, shooting aliens next to Hawkeye with his cooler bow and arrow. 5. Guns probably have no effect on Ultron and his buddies. 6. She still has her wrist thingies, even though she probably wont use them.

The action scenes were awesome but the plot is not all that good. People also liked that we got to learn more about Clint Barton. The romance between Natasha & Bruce came out of nowhere & wasn't believable. Idk if they were together in the comics but in the movie, there was no chemistry at all. Ultron just didn't do it for some people. He wasn't a multi-dimensional villain. Maybe because he is an artificial intelligence program brought to life & granted its own free will but idk. A film can't be perfect for everyone. Everyone will have pros and cons that they will have about a film.
If you youtube, avengers age of ultron analysis, watch the video, and the guy explains the whole film is a case study in Nietzchian moral philosophy. They also explain why Ultron wanted to create a meteor to wipe out humanity instead of just using technology to crash the global markets, send the world into depression, or make people fight each other, (well he couldn't get access to nuclear codes coz jarvis stopped him) , he could really wipe out humanity by just crashing all the technological systems we rely on, like hacking into planes and crashing them on buildings or something. Well the reason being is it's too slow and he didn't want mankind to be able to fight back in between, he wanted to wipe,out humanity in an instant, the way he wiped tried to kill jarvis the moment he was became self aware.
+Nella J even the banner/romanoff romance is a moral dilemma relating to Nietzchian philosophy. They were never meant to actually be a couple, but their moral outlook is inherently flawed, and even if they tried, they are not going to work. If you notice in the film, hulk made the final decision to leave and not banner, and natasha chose the mission over running away with banner, they all have subtle meaning in Nietzchian moral philosophy.
+Nella J seriously, watch the analysis of age of ultron, and it will make sense and you will never watch the film the same way again. I promise.

Yes, and the reason why is because they're not afraid to be serious and raise some consequences. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is easily the best Marvel movie because it knew when to be serious and when to be funny.

you know, a ton of people are saying this is Hawkeye, I've paused it and looked at it, it's definitely a claw. three distinct blades attached to an articulated hand and part of a larger mechanical arm, it has a power source that generates light, not sure if it's a n arch reactor or not, but I'd dfinitely say this is Ulysses Klaw.

This is old, but it's rumored that Ultron is still alive. For starters, in AoU, the Iron Legion bot that stole the scepter from Avengers Tower isn't seen again in the rest of the movie, but also in Spiderman: Homecoming, when Peter is going through a bag of salvaged junk from Sokovia, the head of Ultron (his main body with the red eyes), is pulled out. Peter says "Cool" and then tosses it to the side, however the head's eyes are lit up. So maybe he is still alive.

Remember when "Man of Steel" came out and everybody bitched about him causing collateral damage? Well, good thing Marvel is criticism-proof, or else that scene of Iron Man slamming the Hulk into that building would get everybody's shorts in a bunch.
Yeah no...Its kind of different tho. Hulk is known for his destruction. Superman however is the opposite, but to each his own I guess.

And I think the destruction is deliberately rampant in this movie setting up for the world to try and control superheroes in the upcoming civil war movie
The Difference is in this is that Its an Ensemble film aside from Civil war. So it is expected for this much to happen as opposed in man of steel as his first solo outing, the stakes have to be 10x higher in Batman Vs superman against whatever threat
adding on to what everyone else said, there's also the fact that Superman destroyed an entire town and most of a city while fighting Zod and his men. If the destruction in this movie gets anywhere near that level, you might have a somewhat valid argument.

Please tell me I'm not the only one that liked this movie, everyone seems to hate it and it bums me out. In my opinion it gave us everything the first one gave us, except more of it. There was more charisma between the actors, and more character development for them, better action, and Ultron was a menacing, yet also genuinely funny villain at the same time. In my opinion, better than the first LOVED IT!

Imo, it's mediocre at best. The way it ended literally could have been the way the movie started, which means nothing at all was accomplished. And that's just putting aside all the other flaws that are in the actual film.

I saw this movie today. I have to admit that I actually got tears in my eyes when I saw how many people the Avengers actually saved from death near the end. They really felt like heroes; from Iron Man making sure that he didn't destroy any occupied buildings to Quicksilver saving every single person in the runaway train's path, I was getting emotional.
I finally see what people mean about Man of Steel--I really think it would have been amazing to see him saving people while fighting Zod. Maybe I'm just getting older, but seeing how HOPEFUL the outcome of Age of Ultron was actually managed to deeply affect me.
Less than 2 months until Marvel Entertainment's Avengers assemble!

This movie is not what the trailer makes it out to be. It tries to be dark and deep but it's still a "let's make as many jokes as we possibly can along the way"

It was a good movie, fun but nothing more. They kind of deformed the Ultron concept (my favourite supervillain) like they did with the Mandarin and like in Iron Man 3, they used stupid humour that kind of ruined some scenes. Seriously, Ultron accidently ripping off a villain's arm and presenting his excuses?! I liked the movie, I am a huge fan of the MCU but at the end they did the same thing as Iron Man 3

Dear Marvel your comics are very successful, please just simply make them into movies, the scripts can be found in most comic shops, so most of the work is already done for you, by you, they don't have to be based on or just contain characters with the same name.

Screw the popular opinion-- I personally liked this movie a lot more than the first Avengers.
I'm aware this movie has its flaws, infact I admit a lot more flawed than the first Avengers, but the first Avengers was just a little too cheesy and corny for me. I'm not saying Avengers 2 didn't have comedy, but I really liked seeing the more human side of the Avengers (especially in that Hawkeye safehouse scene).
More flawed or not, I LIKED this movie more. End.
Yes I agree. A lot of people like the first movie better because of loki and its the first time they ever assembled. I like it because of the action and chemistry between the characters.
But I like age of ultron better not just because of action and chemistry but becuz of how real the avengers are like you said Hawkeye was more developed and I could look at him now as a person rather than a guy with a bow. Plus Ultron is very threatening and hilarious villain. I also really loved that hulkbuster fight.
So yeah I like Age of ultron more than the first and I completely agree with you ☺
