This movie has aged like a fine wine, idk how but throughout the years I've appreciated and loved it more and more
I watched it in a movie theater and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had in a movie theater. I was thrilled, excited and impressed. That feeling stayed with me forever and every time I hear that Zimmer song all the emotions come back!

50 bucks says it's the score that's giving you the goosebumps. Because that slow burn swell into that crescendo is timed flawlessly with Russell's speech. I get them too. Sad thing is, this trailer set the bar too high for the movie. It didn't suck, but if we had gotten the movie that the trailer set up, it could have been on par with Nolan's Bats. Snyder just doesn't have the directorial ability for that, though

My sister made a story about superman and supergirl. Really great story
The title is the “S” logo. That way, the viewers will not know if the main character is superman or supergirl. But she is a big fan of superman xD.

The problem with her is she is very lazy to make the script so she can try to submit it to warner bros. She said why bother make a script when they are not going to accept. I tried to make script for her but she crumple it and said the grammar is bad . And the way how i wrote the story is bad. Just sad
I actually want the script so i can keep it myself and hopefully if warner bros said no. There is that story she made i can keep and i can tell my kids and grandkids about the story -is like a memento.
It is really a great story. Not bcus she is my sister but her imagination is beyond .
One of fave story she made is “choice” about one sided love. , “S” ( DC story superman/ supergirl), zombie story- no title yet about two siblings were separated at a young age bcus of an zombies epidemic.

That's cause all the actors were top notch quality and the story,writting,and everything made sense and wasn't boring or draggy. Also he looks the part where he doesn't look like just some basic guy in a Superman outfit. Christopher Reeve and Henry were the best Superman. I don't know who they could get to play the next superman but he better be able to act great and actually look the part too.
Watching this movie on the opening weekend was such an experience. It was thr Superman movie I was waiting for since I was a kid. I really wish that Snyder made MOS2 instead of BVS. It's a shame we will never see this version of Superman again. Henry had everything man

I won’t judge the new Superman trailer yet but it didn’t give me the same feeling this one gave me. Maybe it’s nostalgia but something about this trailer, the cinematography and soundtrack makes me appreciate more and more. This is without a doubt the best Superman movie I’ve ever seen yet.
In my opinion, it's the music, but that shouldn't be surprising or disputed because Hans Zimmer is one of the best film composers of all time.

However it’s impossible to watch this film and say “that is superman done right” and that’s the problem. No one denies the greatness of the film, but since it’s a superman film, the most iconic fictional character, it has to be done correct and it really wasn’t, not at all.

For me, this IS the definitive Superman theme/motif as I never grew up with the Reeve movies. Even after listening to John Williams theme, I still consider Zimmer's theme to be superior. Its not as bombastic as Williams' but it has an incredible bass and drum beat and conveys a feeling of inspiration, resillience, pride and optimism.

As a father myself, that line where Costner’s character tells young Clark that he owes to himself to find out who he really is, hits that emotional chord for me. Maybe some kids need to hear this from time to time to become the best version of themselves, no one is perfect ladies and gentlemen but we can always be better people✌️

But Reeves fans miss the "geeky" Clark Kent. It wasn't just that Clark had glasses, but he changed his entire personality. Today's Superman is too serious as Clark Kent. Same with the new Batman. The alter ego is too serious. The alter ego to a dark, brooding hero should be lighthearted.

The sheer emotion, realism, and the music in this movie just moves me every time. So many iconic scenes as well. The flashback when Clark was a kid, and him wearing the cape...That was me at 9 years old. LMAO
Started what exactly? From all i know, the DCEU is barely doing anything. And they are more focusing on original movies rather than a universe. The only universe that DC was able to workout was the Arrowverse. And even that kind of went south.

@@azanmalik7169 I have seen the HISHE video on Man of Steel, and it actually is kind of true. But I think it was more about him seeking the right thing to do morally and thus he sought out a priest. He was also caught between the ideals of his two fathers. Jor-El thought that he will help the world and they will praise him, but Johnathan said that they will reject him. There are some religious parallels in the scene too.

I am and I'M loving every minute of it. This is my most favorite Superman movie "Man Of Steel" with Henry Cavill. The BvS was hard to watch because it was pissing me off for a good bit of the movie, especially when Batman started beating up Superman after he cheated & shot Kryptonite pellets at him to dispel the gases at Superman to weaken him. I watched BvS just once and could not handle watching Superman get killed and the camera came up close to his face to show that he was dead. I bawled my eyes out. But I loved MOS and have watched about 8 times now. I just don't get tried of watching it. I loved the music also. Henry was so majestic in this movie MOS & the music was also the same, majestic. I saw the JL and was pissed off again that Henry didn't have much screen time in this movie. Even the cast member said that Henry was DEAD for most of the movie. I hope we will see move of Henry Cavill when Zack Snyder get done with the cuts of that movie & its shown on HBO. ......

Seems like this movie has gotten more of a liking with time passing by.
The trailer is better than the movie. Superman has an issue many super heroes have: to much power, basically invincible yet inconsistently. It produces crapy enemies and stories. And this movie suffers especially from a seemingly 30 minutes scene in which CGI characters throw each other through CGI skyscrapers because what else can you do with invincible characters. This trailer though is an amazing piece of art.

You are a father first before a filmmaker, and this tragedy is touching you in a way few can understand. Please take the time to heal with your family.
I love Man of Steel.
The first time I saw it I watched it with my whole family, and unbeknownst to them, I shed a tear or two. You made Superman so relatable for me because you made me see Clark Kent’s humanity. Looking at the big screen I saw my life in front of me. The scene in the classroom where Clark’s powers kicks in immersing him to a panic attack was so vivid to my experience. Like Clark, I came from another “world” you can say. I’m not American. I had an entire life that was different from my life here in the US. As an immigrant the culture shock of going to school not speaking the language, not having any friends, not understanding the culture, not knowing how to seek help made me feel helpless growing up. And when Clark ran out of the classroom to hide in the custodians room, that was me. We didn’t have any place to go. We were stuck in another world where people ridiculed us for being different.
“Clark, I’m here. Sweetie, how can I help you if you won’t let me in?”
“The world’s too big, Mom.”
“Then make it small. Just.. um, focus on the sound of my voice. Pretend it’s an island out in the ocean. Can you see it?”
“I see it.”
“Then swim towards it, honey.”
It was like God spoke to me.
In that one moment you made me realize in all my loneliness and fear that I’m never alone, that there’s always this Voice beckoning me to come home.
There was another scene where Clark, as a teenager, was reading a book inside his dad’s truck, and a school bully slams against the truck and yanks him outside throwing him down against the fence. Yelling. Threatening. Challenging Clark. Jonathan Kent does what good fathers do and dismisses the fight without a word. A man of character doesn’t need to speak much. But after the students left, and a kid he saved once lifts him back up to his feet, the father speaks to his son.
“Did they hurt you?”
“You know they can’t.”
“That’s not what I meant. I meant, ‘Are you alright?’”
“I wanted to hit that kid. I wanted to hit him so bad.”
“I know you did. I mean, a part of me even wanted you to, but then what? Make you feel any better? You just have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be, Clark, because whoever that man is, good character or bad, he’s... he’s gonna change the world.”
I don’t have to be the bad guy.
I don’t have to be the monster that hurt me.
I don’t have to be the villain in my story.
You helped me see that, Zack. I saw it, and it was beautiful. The truth about me is a decision I make for myself.
And I’ve decided to be the hero in my story.
To be a force for good.
To make my presence a gift of peace.
To be the person I wish I had growing up.
There are many more moments I loved from your film Man of Steel, but I’ll end this note with this quote.
“He always believed you were meant for greater things, and when the day came, your shoulders would be able to bear the weight.”
Zack, you made me believe in the good in me.
And for that I owe you my gratitude.
I believe in Zack Snyder.
I believe in Superman.
And I believe in being a force for good today so we could have hope for tomorrow.

I truly think this movie was a masterpiece of the genre. Zack Snyder's visuals are unparalleled. The flight scenes in this were incredible. I get all artists subjective and agree, I just can't understand how this movie was so divided.
