I have this same exact drain you have. I just purchased the house and cleaned the inner metal part of the drain and found a leak in a ceiling on the first floor.. what should I look for..?
Ouch. You need to open the ceiling to see where it’s leaking. Could be the shower pan. Could be the valve. Once you can see up there, test the shower pan with a bucket filled somewhere else. If it doesn’t leak, then try the valve.
I know this video was 3 years ago. I’m new and currently remodeling our bathroom. I have all the shower system and the drain is my last purchase. I really want good quality, as I have heard horror stories of cheap drains corroding or patina for brass. My Kohler shower will be a brushed brass, considering keeping with the brass or a brushed nickel- so… how do you feel your drain has held up all these years? Is brass different in how long it lasts? Looking for quality and longevity here. Thanks!
Great work as always! I will be doing my bathroom in mid August. This would be a big help for me! I really want to use quality products and as you know this would be perfect for my project! Thanks Chris!

I wonder if it's possible to change the cover of the drain on finished shower floor?
Yes they are always removable so you cab snake the drain, so they are replaceable.
I really wonder as an European, for instance 6 inch = 15.24 cm , so can I buy 15 cm or it need to be 15.24 cm (6 inch) exactly?

Our only complaint was the grate wasn’t snapped or screwed in place. So it moved.
i'll be buying one of these when i redo my bathroom in spring
Nice drain
I did notice the square drain right off the bat. Nice touch - classy.
Thanks for the video! Do you just purchase any 2" PVC parts to work with this unit?
Yes
what can I use for a Tile Tub? I can't find anything to fit the 2" flange that has a stopper on it 😫
Thank you Sir VER help full.

Thank you for the video.
My pleasure
Great video. Have been wondering if I could screw in a different head into a oaty drain on a new shower build?
Yes if you haven’t poured the mortar yet.
No sir
It’s hip to be a square
Greatness
Thanks 😊
Good stuff
What is the hight from the floor to the drain?
Wasn’t much. The mortar is probably an inch thick by the drain. Maybe 3/4”.
Thanks master ..
Is entry into the contest the same as before? Leave a comment and you are in?
No, I’m using Messenger because it’s too hard to contact winners on YT. Go to handydad.tv/qmgiveaway
dont buy square drain. You will have to break the cement and tile to replace the drain
Square. Round. No difference. The only time I'd replace the drain is if I redo the shower. So it's not a big deal that it's cemented in.
@@handydadtv The stainless drain get corrosion after 3 years
Virtual dad lol

Complete waste of time
Sorry to disappoint
