What a fun ride! We really enjoyed it!!
Me two
when is monogatari coming back to patreon my dude ? did you guys finish it already ?
@@MrStrides They're taking a break after each part. So after they're done with Toradora and Komi they'll get to Nisemonogatari and then take a break, cover another request and then do another monogatari part. It's a long series so they'll be there for a while.
Ok roshi I think you are on to something when you said they are both the one I think its going to lead up to trinity and neo having a child I'm just "supersaying"🤣
YaBoyRoshi can you do a reaction to a Spider-Man No Way Home movie?
I love how Matrix characters have signature moves. Smith has the rapid punch, Trinity has the scorpion kick, Morpheus had the flying crane knee, etc.
And Neo has Shinra Tensei.
@@EmissaryOfDeath111 I know I'm super late to the party but I almost busted a nut at the thought of Keanu Reeves dubbing Pain.
Fun Fact: Keanu and Carrie-Ann jumped off the building at the end for a total of 19 times. Nothing but admiration for these 2 badasses who still got it.
The guy playing Tiffany's husband was Keanu's stunt double in the original trilogy and is also the director of John Wick.
I liked how the machines had a civil war because of resource scarcity like humans
And the resources getting scarce _were_ humans.
Duh!
One of the big themes of The Matrix (Particularly if you've watched the Animatrix and understand WHY the Machines decided to try and break away from anything "human" as much as possible) is that the Machines think their all high and past human emotion and problems and reactions but no they very much are not because all that stuff is just part of being sentient and that constantly bites them in the ass.
Hell with Smith, the guy who goes on a rant about how much he hates humans and how their the cure for the virus that is humanity in the first movie, his main character arc... is essentially him becoming more openly human. Still evil of course and still hates humans (or rather after 1 his hate extended past humans and more to "Literally everything but himself") but more emotional and expressive, more likely to react with clear joy, shock or fear hell by 4 he's even capable of being pretty casual.
@@thewalrus45 honestly the only outright statement of that is made by Smith, and I don't know if he is a good stand in for all machines. The dude is pretty much an extremist even by their standards. Also the Architect seems emotionless and proud of it, but as the Analyst said, that was his personal philosophy.
Mech wars
I had the same opinion as Roshi about wanting to stay in the matrix, at least until Sheera started pointing out the flaws of being a potential casualty.
Neo has subconsciously created Morpheus from memory in a videogame to free him because the machines have sedated him and made him feel insane.
They should have explained it better that neo has the power to create programs because that’s what Morpheus is in this movie
@@HR-ms6ed morpheus is always a program, to make sure that the one is found to reset the matrix
@@StayFr0sty Morpheus in past matrix versions was always a human whos mind was programmed with the religion of "the one". this is the first version where he is an actual program himself.
@@trilltyson7195 correct
Is he even the one any more? The implied it was Trinity which is dumb
This was the best reaction from a movie I've ever seen. What a delight of editing and good comments.
I loved the Cypher call back with Neo eating the steak. Those little moments are dope af!
Also noodles
yeah I noticed that but not many people point that out
Lupa went full Morpheus at the beginning of this video. Had me dying. That man has a direct line to my funny bone.
This film went back into the exploration of identity, existentialism and the role technology plays in our daily lives. However, I feel like more time should have been put into the script when it came to executing those ideas in a cohesive and impactful manner. Overall I still enjoyed most of it, especially Bugs.
yeah bugs is nice
Had maybe 2 or 3 years worth of time from what I remember
Yeah I definitely agree. They mentioned a lot of thought provoking topics, but did nothing with it really. They focused on the romance of it all too much for my taste.
@@wopthaplug she's always nice lol
Remember it's a reboot more matrix to come
What really got me excited after the movie ended, is that Neo has a rogues gallery now: The Merovingian and his Exiles, The Analyst and his Bots, and of course Agent Smith and his Duplicates. The next movie, if green lit, has a good set of directions to take the story for a solid sequel.
What really got me exited after the movie is that it was over and I could go home after a major disappointment.
@@mrdisaster5880 all you people hating this movie likely didn't grasp the first three. I watched them all when they came out. Didn't like the final two. This one wasn't like the first but it was entertaining for sure.
@@BigTulsa ppl scared to admit that they never understand the story an the movie made fun of that "bullet time"😂🤣😂
@@mrdisaster5880 that was a shitty joke bruh. I disliked the movie but still, shitty joke
Never watched any of the matrix movies but I like em because I played conquers bad fur day on the N64 and that bullet dodging scene was cool.
That end credit scene was a middle finger to the movie industry. It was showing how stupid their creative sessions are. I do not doubt for a second that the "Warner Bros" stuff was based on real life.
Also, did you catch DigiMorph is actually a blend between Morpheus AND Smith?! That's why homeboy is sassy as a mutha and doesn't necessarily mind antagonizing Neo.
Love the reaction. I know I'll rewatch this a few times. Y'all had me dead.
Love Swag "Morpheus" He also had cool abilities in the real world. I dont mind seeing more of this new crew (with nano Morpheus and those robot allies).
It's a middle finger to the whole movie/media industry, its an actual statement. They are dead .
The movie shit and thinks meta complaining is smart commentary. They should have never hired the one hit wonder for a movie they clearly didn’t want to make and got a proper director that would have done the movie justice
I mean, it's pretty much EXACTLY what happened, Warner Bros executives starting talking about ether doing a Matrix 4 (or more likely a reboot) with or without them, also some stuff with their mom happened and after that Lana chose to come back.
And yep the program Neo unconciously created to help free himself was.. think about it, the three most important people in Neo's life were Morpheus his mentor and friend, Trinity his lover, and Smith, his antithisis and rival. Id guess his real memories of Trinity were a bit more locked or something so the unconcious memories he drew from were of Morpheus and Smith.
@@Delboy0 take another blue pill and calm tf down. Keanu himself basically said he wouldn't come back unless either Lana or Lily returned. Why regurgitate the same BS narratives(look at the post phase 2 MCU), when you can actually make a statement. Why do you think Lana, Lily and others like Zack Snyder are chided by Warner? They are not agents of the studio system. They want to say more
If you watch the scene where Neo and Trinity are talking at the coffee shop and it zooms out where you can see the window next to them, you can see the same people walk back and forth in the window.
It literally doesn’t matter what role NPH plays in he’s fuckin hilarious to me 😂
13:15 The green tinge is gone because when the Matrix was rebooted at the end of Revolutions it had the brighter Sense 8-ish aesthetic instead and I guess they kept it.
And in the modal it seemed to be blue color. I guess since he was in the bluepill world I just realized, playing out the real thing in-game.
Speaking of Sense-8 I loved Wolfgang being in this movie
The reason why the real morpheus are not in this movie because after revolution theres a game (called MATRIX ONLINE and its signed by the wachowski so.. its canon) the ending of the game is morpheus die
Why is every movie so much more fun when these three react to it!? 🤣😂
Roshi: “I would hate you two forever for dragging me out of the Matrix.”
Also Roshi: “After this, you could never make me get back into the Matrix.”
Nodal Morpheus was hilarious i dug it, this movie was fun as hell even the action was satirical but done well and practical, it was funny af. those exiles and merv where straight out of path of neo too i was dying : D
I loved this movie so much and watching your reaction just made it even better!
Now, when it comes to Trinity being the One as well, I feel like that has always been the case, not just because she was "resurrected". Remember in the first movie, the Oracle tells Neo he wasn't the One, it was like he was waiting for something, maybe another life... and she tells Trinity that the person she would love would be the One. It's only when Trinity tells Neo she loves him and kisses him that he "becomes" the One. So to me, it always seemed that the connection of them both was what created the One. And now, with the whole experiment keeping them close to each other, but apart, I guess it unlocked the same powers that Neo had unlocked at that time. It was amazing!
@37:28 "The Power of Love... Love at it's physical form!" Young man, you have no idea. What you just said is the solution to EVERYTHING.
Y’all gotta be my favorite reactors bro fr. Much love from the military.
I think the reason Trinity also has Neo’s powers is due to Neo’s background reprogramming of the matrix. The same one that created Morpheus despite him being blue-pilled CONSTANTLY. I still think Neo is more powerful but it’s almost like he has to recover since the ENTIRE system is meant to stop THE ONE. Him giving Trinity abilities is not only an expression of how he loves her, sees her as an equal, wanted to show her everything he got to see, and thinks that she completes him, BUT ALSO his way of making it so the system would overlook the biggest threat. Neo was being nerfed the ENTIRE time, but STILL was this powerful. That speaks volumes.
This movie was “Neo won, everyone is thankful, he acknowledges Morpheus and Smith are equal representations of his journey and he has deep and meaningful relationships with both (especially his respect for Morpheus), and his love with Trinity is all he needs to finally have his happy ending. Thank you Neo for all you’ve done”
Easy 8/10 for me.
No. Neo never believed he was the one. "Anyone could have been you, whereas I've always been anyone." He didn't give Trinity powers. They are BOTH "The One". Two halves of the same coin. The yin and yang. It's why Trinity's destiny is so tied with Neo's. It's why they had to be kept close but separated. It's implied he only has these powers BECAUSE of his love for her and vice versa. It's also why Smith is so tied with Neo, bending the Matrix to his will in a way Neo couldn't. In a way, all three of them are tied together because of their connection with each other.
@@FlashmanJW
Having watched the first 3 movies, no. Neo not believing in the one doesn’t suddenly invalidate the title. Anyone “could” be a great actor but not everyone is Tom Hanks. Flaw in logic. Smith was specifically crafted to evolve, which was his point. It’s also his entire arc in Revolutions. Neo has always been THE ONE regardless of Trinity. He didn’t love Trinity when he first began using his abilities. In this movie we specifically learn that he unconsciously was creating programs and forcing the old code into the new matrix model.
My theory respects the lore of the first 3 while also fitting in this film. So don’t “no” me when yours is a contradiction.
Also he did believe he was the one in the original trilogy. Him not believing is a hyperbole of thematic character moments from the original, since his entire set of abilities relied on him believing. That hyperbole is then self-actualized with Neo’s background programming after revolutions.
If you disagree, just say “I disagree”. But don’t say “no” like it’s somehow fact when my theory is covering more bases and has just as much credibility to it as yours. Thanks
Edit: Also, Trinity was never “the one”. She only seemed to gain these super abilities after Neo specifically altered the new version of the matrix. Smith was born from the matrix itself and was able to evolve to the point where he essentially gained the ability to possess real life people. Likewise, he was unaffected by meddling of NPH’s character just as he was out of reach in previous incarnations. Rewatch the ending of revolutions and see why Smith’s win was so key to Neo winning.
Neo never believed himself to be "The One", but he did believe in himself and his capabilities. It was part of the thematic of the original trilogy. Nairobi mirrored that sentiment about Neo, and Link started a bit like Nairobi and ended up becoming a believer. On the other hand, Trinity and Morpheus did believe in the idea of "The One", and that Neo represented that idea.
@@yannym4605
Neo accepting his role as The One was a large part of the ending on revolutions. He understood the prophecy of the one was in part being born of the matrix which is why he needed Smith to “win”
im so glad yall enjoyed this, the reviews out rn are trippin, this was so interesting.
well, to be honest though, it has a decent score on Rotten Tomatoes and the audience score is decent too.
no wonder, its shit.
@@FiryaFYI speak for yourself.
*After remembering MatPat’s “The One” video (learning about what “The One” is) and realizing what Smith meant when he said to Neo “Anyone could’ve been you” I think it does kinda make sense that Trinity can effect the matrix in the same way Neo does.*

ppl overhating on this movie too much
@@doctordoom4458 If you remember the reviews of reloaded and revolutions, both the reviews right after were kind of horrendous. Reviews got better over time for sure.
@SockMonkey Gaming Objectively it's a pretty shitty movie, it reuses and recycles already established concept but fails to bring something interesting and entertaining. It was mid, doesn't mean you're not allowed to enjoy it though, have your own opinions and respect others
@@doctordoom4458 agreed. I saw all three films first release and was skeptical about this one. Watched it and while not perfect, was better than the final two in the first trilogy. The callbacks were great.
@SockMonkey Gaming How deep do they go into the machine civil war concept?? That honestly seems way more intriguing than what the actual plot and story of the movie is but it wasn't really explored that much. YOU are allowed to like the movie, IM allowed to dislike it. It's called opinions, my guy
I’ve been waiting for this one for a while
This was the best reaction vid I've seen, thanks y'all

@@mr.dr0bot731 You care, because if you didn't, you wouldn't have said that.
Watched the movie after starting your vid. Movie was dope, and me and my homie watching loved all the callbacks.
Damn, you missed out that the actor acting as the husband of 'Tiffany' is actually Chad Stahelski, the former stunt double for Keanu Reeves in the original Matrix trilogy and currently the director for John Wick franchise. They even used his actual name. As a movie for newcomers to the franchise, I'd say this is par for the course. For us old fans, could be better but I still liked the social commentary on current times and the philosophical aspects. Though, I still felt that Lana was literally using this movie to troll the fans with some in your face meta stuff.
I hope they use the Animatrix as an example to build up the lore and fill in on the time gap between Matrix 3 and 4. I wanna see a full blown animated series on the machine side. I feel it'll add on to the movie even better.
"handsome Chad"
Is there gonna be another season of animatrix ?
Yeah id love a sort of Second Renaissance type thing for the inbetween 60 years (what happened to Zion And Morpheus, how IO was founded, the beginnings of the Machine Civil War and them splitting into factions some aligned with humanity how the Analyst replaced the Arcitect etc) Cause yeah there's a LOT of stuff that happened during the 60 year time jump and we only got glimpses at it.
I don't know. Maybe Lana just has a sense of humor and thought Matrix fans would get a kick out of it. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the humor. It is actually pretty cool that she was able to pull off a movie that could make you feel a whole range of different feelings. Many movies just make you feel a couple feelings. In interviews Lana has said that she was hoping to make something new and different instead of just remaking the same thing all over again.
Damn, I had to really dive into the comments to find somebody who got it. Anarkey gets it. Was beginning to think the world just went full retard already, or at least the Roshi one.
The studio was going to make the movie, with or without Lana, so she decided to do it instead of a stranger. It's no surprise why her sister opted out. It's just an obvious studio cash grab. She decided to helm it, and take shots at them in the movie. Literal, direct shots at WB, and sequels as a whole. Even took the piss out of the character design and how old Keanu has gotten. I honestly felt that was the best approach of the movie.
The action is awful and schlocky, like a low-budget HBO series. And they play literal scenes from the first as a "video game". I don't think it's possible to bring back the original Matrix feeling, especially with the same characters 22 years later. The route Lana took with this is really one of the few routes you can take; poke fun at it. Anybody acting impressed by this as if it's a serious rebirth of the original/franchise just doesn't know film, what happened behind the scenes, or didn't experience the first when it came out. You're allowed to like it, but like it for what it is, or admit that you don't.
Luv these guys reaction. They actual understood the movie.
Right because I was literally soooooooo confused until I watched their reaction. Now I understand 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I definitely like it more now, I didn’t dislike it but they helped me understand some stuff better! Best reaction fr
@10:40 The Oracle once told Neo that Agent Smith was Neo's opposite. Surely that's Agent Smith in the mirror reflection of Neo... not the A. S. we remember him as, but older, different in subtle ways because of Neo's programming to be a game programmer. Yea. That. Awesome!!!
The movie isn't chaotic and then the cafe fight scene is exactly what everyone wanted. They do give you that. To the point that everyone becomes zombies.
Nobody gives af about your opinion ,silly child

13:24 re: I wished they would have kept the green tinge... don't forget Sati changed the color of the matrix at the end of trilogy.
Oh yeahhhhhh
I think it's the second-best in the series, I also appreciate the meta-commentary about cash cow franchises, dumb plots with no substance and less control of artists over their own art, while being nostalgia bait itself. I also think the Neo-Trinity chemistry was the best here among the 4 movies. 7.5/10

Also, Keanu’s best acting to date. He has crazy range in this movie.

@26:29 Somewhere around this time in the movie Niobe told Neo it wasn't them AGAINST the machines anymore... it was now them WITH the machines... This was a pivotal time for me because we here at All1llA believe that humanity is at the pendulum swing of Awareness between or/and; from this OR that to this AND that, from these OR those to these AND those, from them OR us to them AND us, from you OR me to you AND me. All Is 1.
44:35 so remember, the cat was used to reboot the loop, just a tip about the post-credits scene
I agree with Lupa's assessment of IGN 🤣🤣
Its not super far off, Smith learned to fly from copying himself to neo, either imprinting part of his source code onto himself or vice versa. Trinity and neo have at least as much of a connection. Hes imrpinted his code onto her, and saved her life multiple times inside the matrix, his hand inside her heart to pull out the bullet, or even actually starting her heart again. If smith can learn some new tricks then so can she.
"Shoutout to the Sense 8 fans" BRO when I was in the theater I was like "holy shit that's my favorite German boy from Sense 8" I didn't even realize halfway through that they also got my other boy the cop from the same show 😂
Smith smoking a cigarette at the beginning is also something interesting to note. Remember he absorbed the Oracle back in Revolutions, so his program might have unconsciously kept her smoking vice.

Idk why but I remember like in the 2nd Matrix film, we were introduced to the Merovingian and he showed Neo and Trinity how he was able to "keep" old programs from an old version of The Matrix.
I feel like that's exactly what's happening in this movie but dialled to like 1000%

I've just returned from the cinema. I was going to see Matrix because of Neo and Bugs (I liked her from the trailers) ... didn't expected much but was surprise that it wasn't trash like people are saying. The references and making fun of matrix itself at the beginning, following idea of machines fighting each other and needing Neo and Trinity alive was interesting but I agree they focused too much on a romance rather than on the mindblowing stuff. I would still give it solid 7/10 and I hope they do a sequel for it. The thing I didn't like that much was Neo's using of the force little bit too much while not having good enough fight choreography.
Aye u was 💯💯💯💯 but I still think it was 💩 but u worded it perfectly I’d hire u to talk for me 😂
Did anyone else feel like the Ws saw Disney's Star Wars and decided that enough was enough?
A better Finn, a better Hux vs Kylo rivalry, a better Rey, with a beginning that thoroughly mocks "remakes, reboots, and rehashes", and then a better "what's happened to Luke and Leia?", and a far superior Admiral Holdo...
And just when I thought it was over, a minor character summarized Rogue One in three sentences, almost looked right at the screen and said to us, "See how easy that was? Didn't need a whole movie to explain it, either."
And then it ends with a Force Dyad that feels far more earned.
And the Hux of the story STILL gets treated like shit! Damn it, respect Hux! LOL, love you NPH.

When v.6 of the Matrix rebooted at the end of _Revolutions_ the green tint was gone. This is v.7.
