  • Today we tackle I guess the first major steps in the Lethal Classic build, we take on the engine, trans and subframe so I can starting cleaning up and updating the front subframe. Please note, my 1971 Camaro is pretty stripped, so getting to things to be removed, is fairly simple. Your project may require a lot more work to separate on systems from the body.

Having some serious nostalgia watching you rip this thing apart, make sure you include your kids on the build (off camera if you prefer) my fondest memories were building cars with my dad, even if I didn't always want to at the time, I learned so much from it.

You should go with a Detroit Speed subframe.

That valve is called a per-portioning valve.

Did you do any measuring on the body itself? I'm doing a '70 RS. It has some pretty good lumps on the Floorplan. Like the drive shaft did bouncing. That & it had a bent radiator support & fender. If you had any advice shoot it back. REVOLUTION!!

4 subframe bolts not six unless your counting the radiator support bolts
