Never seizes to amaze me that the 4 runner gives you the same room the rav 4 does. And the new one looks even tighter rather than spacious
I love that mudbath color, I guess 4Runner stepped in to help RAV4.. BEAST MODE
It looks great, but it also looks like it lost rear legroom despite the vehicle being longer.
Yeah definitely looks tighter back there. Curious to see the official specs, maybe trunk space increased?
@@PROutdoors94 Or the engine bay got larger as these new complicated powertrains, especially hybrid, look like a web and take up a lot of space. It's not as bad as the Tacoma but so far that's my only disappointment looking at these videos.
Lost cargo space as well. The cargo floor is six inches higher to accommodate the hybrid battery under there.

Love it all except for the shiny black stuff that will get scuffed up and the fake hood scoop! No more fake hood scoops!
Mudbath is sweet, but a lot of glossy black to get scratched up! Imagine most that can afford the trd pro can also afford to have the fenders wrapped easy enough. The design of it overall is beautiful. Nice work Toyota!
Hope the new powertrain lives up to the name.

Is it similar in size to current gen? Looks smaller but hard to tell on video. Also, will there be a pano roof option?

On the fence between the Pro and the Platinum trim. Can’t go wrong with either one.
I like it, I will buy a 5yr old platinum one in 2030.

Don’t like the tacked on display on the top of the dash and the piano glossy black. Otherwise, looks great!

I like the redesign body, however, not so sure about the new engine I-force Max hybrid 4 cylinders long lasting...
Won’t last as long as the outgoing V6 or earlier V8 models.
Great video Jeff. Have you folded down the rear bench on a hybrid version? I am hoping that since the rear cargo deck is raised because of the batteries, that when the seats are folded down, it will be even with the deck, making it totally flat. Can you shed any light on this? I really like the new design and I am leaning towards the 4Runner over the Land Cruiser, especially if there is no slight incline when the seats are folded.

Looks they noticed a lot of the modifications people do on the 4Runner and corrected it on this new model.

I have a fifth gen and I’ve been waiting on the new 4Runner. To complex and to many failure points. I think I’m going to take a look at the Lexus GX. Toyota got away from the simplicity I loved.
GX has twin-turbo engine. That’s not complex to you?
I get that you don’t like the new technology, but most technology throughout time has gotten more complex and better and more efficient.
I would rather have the twin turbo setup than this engine

How much does the non hybrid tow? I dont like losing rear space due to the hybrid battery.
Probably 5k like 5th gen. I too don’t like the space taken by the battery. SR5 and off-road premium will be popular options

Jeff, how does the new 4Runner compare in size to the new Land Cruiser?
I believe the landcruiser is smaller in both width and length but is taller than the 4Runner.

Sheldon Brown should've not get involved with the front design of this vehicle. This is only for Japanese engineers such as Mr Keita Moritsu who designed the back from the cenyer pillar.

I get that it’s pre prod. Hopefully some stuff will change, like the hood rod, or the god awful piano black fender flairs. The rest is nice. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
Price should be lower then the Landcruiser.
why people like that color makes no sense. 6 months later you hate yet, you have to continue making payments on that color or spend money to wrap it
Why oh why did Toyota put the exact same engine as the Tacoma in the 4Runner? This is essentially a Toyota Tacoma Hatchback. 👎👎👎

How is it ok with DOT to have that GIANT 55" TV on your dashboard?!? Its so ugly and out of place. LC 250 and 300 has it right. This looks so out of place. Same thing with the Tundra. Beautiful awesome trucks ( sans gloss black anything ) with a terribly thought out ( or not ) screen. Blah...
I bet it’s $80,000.

Nobody cares about interior / options etc , when the whole unit is garbage.. Idiots at Toyota actually think we want this 4 cyc disaster. Worst re design in history . That's why they wont sell , worse than a dodge & that's saying a lot
