Looks like a jigsaw puzzle going together and you explained everything very well so I have some new directions on what to look at for my parents. Thank you for the information Tim.
Just did this at my home. Wish I'd known about pipe dope first. I used teflon only and, no matter how many wraps, had a slow, drop oozing out leak at both the inlet and outlet. Blamed it on the PVC fittings. Have bought brass fittings and will use BOTH tape AND dope. Just haven't had the heart to drain the system again to replace that plastic yet. My pump was just shy of 20 years old and totally filled with corrosion!
good job. funny thing is my booster pump just failed too, i've got a 2hp booster pump though. gonna use this to do it myself. company quoted me $3500 when the pump is only $1400. So thanks for that
I have the same style Sta Rite pump, but mine is dual stage and has a blue tank above it. Mine is running a sprinkler system. Is that blue tank an expansion tank/bellows? Great video!
Thanks, Do I need to do anything differently if my well is waaaaay down a hill? I am in snowy frozen Canada, my pump is in a closed room in the basement because everything has to be protected from freezing here. My concern is about loosing water pressure because the distance between the well and the house is so great. Previous pump worked just fine until it was just to old and rusty. Should I keep lots of water on hand? Just wondering if things change unexpectedly due to distance?
Hello good morning, I watch your videos. Can you help me? I have a 1.6 hp pump for irrigation, but it works for a while, 2 months or less, and the pump works, but the pressure stops working at 20/40 psi. I have already bought 3 pumps. I don't know what it could be. Thank you. If you can give me a tip, I will be grateful.
I need my existing pump replaced,,the setup is eaxactly like the one you just did..what is a fair price for a plumber to replace my pump..i have new pump and fittings onsite,,i do all my own repairs etc until it comes to plumbing however looking at this video i may do it myself..existing pump is 25 years old and is not putting out much pressure,,
Excellent video. My folks had a well pump for many years until city water became available. The old stub up pipe out of the ground is still there and has been capped off for many years now. I have purchased a 3/4 horsepower pump. I also have a tank. I just want to see if I can get it going again after all these years. Mainly just to see if I can do it, and to use to water a garden and peach trees. Is there anything I should know or any advice you may be able to give me. I won't hold you responsible even if it's the wrong advise. The pump I purchased is a everbuilt 3/4 horsepower. Convertable jet pump. Fresh water for home application. There is nothing there but the stub up out of the ground. I have nothing to go on therefor no photos to go by. Could you help me maybe talk me through the process. Any of your expertise would greatly be appreciated. Yours truly, I'm new I'm new I don't know what to do!
My water well (70' deep) is 100' away from the house, where do I install the pump and the tank? Can I install a external pump (3/4) and the pressure tank (30 gpm) inside the utility room?🤔🤔🤔 what is a good setup (pump and tank) for a 2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room and utility hose?

I just purchased a new Everbilt jet pump and it turns on and off any reason why?
excellent advice
Wat if I’ve change the yet kit and pressure sensor and still don’t get any water out the well wat should I do next?
thank you for this
It would be a lot more smarter if u added unions to the setup. in that way it will be more easier for service, instead of constant cutting!
Great video, well done, thank you! I noticed the black (hot) wire was nicked and should have been wrapped with electrical tape. My $.02.
If someone closes that ball valve on the output of the pump are bad things going to happen?
Pressure switch it connected prior to the valve.
Thank you sir
thanks😎
