I miss This Is Not Happening, only real real reason I stay subbed lol
Pretty sure they got rid of it to get back at Ari for talking to Netflix.
They need to bring this back
Tldr; CC sucks and continues to get worse
ari is remaking it at joe rogans new club under a new name
Same
Fun fact: Keegan's brother is the creator of Static Shock and his fellow Mad TV alum, Phil Lamarr, voices the character in the animated series.
I loved that show when I was a kid :} thanks for sharing that
@@goofballbiscuits3647 I don't just mean the animated series, I mean his brother created the comic book character and co created a whole comic book universe that was doing quite well. Well enough for DC to buy them out and use the characters. Keegan's brother is Dwayne McDuffie.
@@gregoriomunoz4754 that's awesome, man. What a talented family.
SERIOUSLY?!?!? mind blown
@@THESILVERNARUTO Yes, it's one of my favorite nerd/comic book facts.
It took Keegan describing a gentleman as looking like a cross between a beaten down golden retriever and sad Gary Busey to realize... That just describes Gary Busey 😂
Well, Gary Busey _now_
@@NickRoman Hahahahaha very true, very true.
I love Gary Busey and holy god I laughed so hard I cried 😂
I'm never understand why Keegan didn't blow up into a superstar. I mean, he got popular, sure, but he really should be bigger than he is. This is some serious HNL stuff, man.
I think he’s as big as he wants to be. He’s not as creatively ambitious as Jordan Peele.
@@blakeharris58 that's cool then. If he's happy where he's at, then I wouldn't want to wish the curse of too much on to him.
Fame can be hard to handle -- or so I hear, anyway. As long as he gets as much work as he wants, guess that's all that matters.
I'm sorry man, but like everyone named blake knows Keegan. Everyone named denise ect ect.
@@DevilWearsAdidas DE-NICE!
@Blake Harris The two of them really did form a powerhouse, but they simply had different trajectories they wanted to pursue. And that's alright. It happens and being able to part ways amicably is an important option to be able to accept.
Little did Keagan fail to understand, his "angel on his shoulder" is actually his inner crackhead trying to break free.. 🤣🤣🤣
Correct. It’s immature Intuition.
He came in with them crackseses?! The crackseses!? *shuffles around rapidly* WHAAAAAAAT THE CRACKSESES!
"Little did he fail to understand"? Pftbwahahah 😅😂
😂😂😂
Such a wholesome guy helping Jeff out like that. 🤣🤣🤣
My girlfriend doesn’t understand why I’m crying watching this. This is not happening helped me through so much. Listening to these comedians stories made me realize that my life wasn’t as bad as I imagined back then and it helped me turn shitty situations into funny stories later in life. Forever grateful for the great times this show brought me.
Does she understand now?
@@slantdwave LOL🤣😂
oh it's bad if you are on Jeff's POV
i love your pfp
this show helped me through a rough time also. I had no idea other ppl felt that way about this show that's awesome
I didn't ever expect to hear anyone else tell a story like this. I have a similar one and it seems likely there are many many others. It's strange to imagine the mindset of individuals who go about their lives using manipulation and exploitation of the naive as casually as a bus pass.
As someone who works with drug addicts, I'm stealing the last line. That was extremely well-put.
Same here! I have definitely listened to that angel in the past and let me just say it didn't turn out right. After listening to his encounter I will not be so generous in the future 😂.
Bruh they created segregation for a reason. You got the money to stay on your side of town stay there
That's what hard drugs do to people. Nothing matters to you other than getting your next hit.
@@reddunk3744 LOL, that "reason" was a rampant, unchecked mewling need for a sense of superiority over others (along with the incomprehensible wealth and influence enabled by feeding into that culture of superiority due to the ruthless exploitation it engendered) which led to centuries of damage. Then after centuries of damage and cultural sabotage, dumbasses act like the current day results are _only_ explicable if it were all genetically predetermined.
"A crack of cocaine"...🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hilarious. I love his storytelling. So good
The ratio from crack to VCR is 1:1 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I lost it
Didn't know he did stand up..this is genius because there's an underlying theme present and the moral of the story is you can get fooled by your conscience and after you have faced the consequence your conscience will tell you to do that again and u have to be strong enough to say shut up. This is how narcissists take advantage of you over and over again. So this is not only funny there's another story being told.
95% of comedian actors do stand up as well ;)
Pretty sure he started with stand up lmao
He started in standup
Great moral lesson you learned Socrates!
This wasn't actual stand-up, this is called "This is Happening" a show where people tell crazy stories...most of the people are stand-ups but some people are regular celebrities telling crazy stories. This is not his stand-up.
“I hope you don’t mind” that sent me 😂
Stand up makes a funny person hilarious.
This guy is a TITAN
Hilarious. I adore his narrative style. Very good
Magnificent story telling!! So much happened in that 6 minutes. 👏
That was the moment to drive off. 🤣 Great set!
classic story. hopefully this is not happening comes back soon!
This is exactly how my life seems to go. Great stories but surprised I'm still here. 😂
I fast forwarded the spoiler and intro, only to realise this episode doesn’t have one. Thank you very much! 👏
I just now realized he grew up in the Detroit area, like me...made my day!!
There's a rumor among my cousins that he grew up around the block from them. They used to speak of a kid named Keegan long before he would have been old enough to drive Jeff around. I lived a few blocks further, but never saw the kid.
You can't not love this guy. Everything he does is absolute gold.
Tell me you smoked crack without telling me you smoked crack.
They need to bring this series back.
I love Keagan, and am so happy he got off easy that night.
Man, I sure do miss MadTV! I used to sneak behind my parent's couch late at night to watch the show back in 6th grade!
Love this man...
Last time I gave a ride to some random person, I was stoned as hell. Started talking to some random dude, and he said he would give me 10 bucks for a ride. Ended up letting him smoke some of my pot on the ride, and part way through he says, actually take me here instead. Tells me he was going to have me drive him to a Crack house, which I didn't think even existed in our rural/country area, but after smoking pot he changed his mind. The place I ended up dropping him off at looked exactly like what a country crack house looks like in your mind. Never again will I give a ride to a stranger haha.
Somebody needs to animate this fast😂
Paulytoons for Rogan is great
"Hey Angel FO!"😅
My dad had a 76 Le Sabre. I loved that car!!!
1:32 there’s Toad. I keep forgetting he played him. Then I remembered that he (and Peele) have done numerous impressions for a living 👏👏🍄
The legend of Jeff lol
😂 Right?
Ok so we’re just taking out the intro and putting out the stories from this series?
Oh wow! I didn’t even realize. I’ve always hated the intro. Also, my little sister is named Janessa!
@@JacyndaMinor me too. They are creepy
That Lost Boys joke hit a little close to home. Excellent set.
Straight legend.
I do love this story I’ve had almost the same car! 85
He’s really fun to listen to!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love this guy.
I believe this or similar really happened. We’ve all been in a situation of life or death is a coin flip away when strangers are involved.
Absolutely great performance
"Talk about the burns!"
This is undissappointingly one of the best stories i've ever heard told.
Seriously ?
More "This is not happening" please!!!
This man's talent is so underrated
I remember encountering a homeless guy a second time later in my life. The first time he was all jacked and healthy looking because he just got out of prison. We had a long conversation and I got him an iced tea and pack of smokes from the gas station. The second time he was all emaciated and I couldn't understand a word he was saying when I tried talking to him, like he was some crazy old man. It was kind of sad tbh.
Keegan know he tried IT that day.😂
The “angel” definitely had me in plenty sketchy situations. I LIVED!!! but I swear the things I’ve done in the name of “helping someone”…lol gahtdayum
Times are hard for Comedy Central if they are down to recycling old material on RUclips... Should have treated your comedians better! Now Netflix has them.
They've been doing it for years.
Well take for example this very show was stolen from a comedian
"In 1990..." *Instantly cues up Can't Touch This instrumental*
That incident was exactly like a Key and Peele sketch
Facts 😂😂 i thought the same
Starring:
Keegan Michael-Key as
Jeff & VCR owner #3
Jordan Peele as
Keegan Michael-Key & Guardian Angel
Story of my life!!! I swear
I swear they need to bring this is not happening back
I've known some Jeff's. Glad Keegan went on to make awesome stuff!
Loved it!
"400ft to the gallon" lmmfao
That was a really good little standup routine. He should do more standup.
2:50 As soon as he did the arm swing, I knew Jeff was a crackhead.
I had a very similar situation happen to me when I lived in Chicago.
"and that's how I met Peele"
The funny thing is that all his work is considered as "good deed", because this much laughing that he made us do, can only count as good deed! lol😅
Fkin genious. He can make a history from nowhere!!!
SO…I’m aware he’s male and I’m female but I see myself in K.M. Key & not just sometimes, nearly ALL the time. All the way back even before “Coach Hines!“ Words can’t even express what a positive influence he’s been in my life and the lives of others.
God Bless you.
Dude that's fuxkin funny
You helped him by transporting him. I woulda been out like the flash
I can imagine allll of this happening lmfaoo
This is the very reason I do not indulge anymore. Been burned too many times. Good stuff.
Screwsched down in the chair 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right after me, buddy, right after me.
Water down version of This is Not Happening. Thank you Ari!

Perfected Regret
"North of 8 mile" lol he fs know where to be at
Jeff has to be an inspiration for hypothetical criminal.
For me, he is just funny AF and super hot
Keegan doesnt age. Hes looked the same since the 90s
Straight up helped out a homeless guy near 8 mile and he pulled out a tiny pocket knife and tried to car jack me 🤣 I took him to a nearby taco bell instead
Same thing happened to me in flint. Must be a michigan thing.
I really thought I found another key and peele skit for sec
Appreciate the reupload since he was murdered 4:35
Damn I almost thought this jam was still on.
This EXACT thing happened to me.
Was "Jeff" the guy trying to buy a zip line, a bow and arrow, a suit of armor, some roller skates, an m80, and a cartoon money bag💰 for "Christmas" in April?😂
I 100% believe this is probably a true story lol❤
I went to the Meijer on 8 mile last Monday.
gold
When you believe you ALWAYS need to follow your intuition, you will make lots of mistakes.
Everyone has that conscience, learnt the hard way in school. Don't stand up for cowards because you'll be in the fight whilst they run or back off.
This actually sounds familiar:
About 18 or 19.
I was at a friends house and went home to get something but saw a lady trying to hitch a ride. I ended up taking her to 4 stores before I just left her there. I was 2 hrs late to my my friends house
Somehow i was waiting for Jordan Peele to cameo in the crowd, saying: "What about me.. I can take it".
4:47 imagine if he farts when he's jumping
Real Life GTA Mission. He picked up Brian Meech.
classic Jeff
$1 equals plausible deniability, a ride equals get away driver.
Do me! I can take it… make fun of the burns…
I had an 87 Buick lasabra
I'm from that area... The specifics of the location made it all the more hilarious. I grew up near Coolidge, and Detroit isn't all that scary... If you know who to avoid. Namely crackheads.
'#MY' 👑 of 👑's ♾️
He said soda instead of pop, he is really from Michigan???
I wore my 90's trenchcoat last week.
