@@natelivestreams14 People outside of the region won't get it. Delco is Delaware County, near Philly/Camden. They're not hood enough to be hood and not gangster enough to be gangster, a mixture of castoffs with money that try too hard to be either of those places. I do find this dude legitimately funny and he could hang out in Philly without issue though.

Can someone explain why it really matters who the host is? The entire video is the guest comedian sharing their story except for the first minute. Is it different on tv or something?
Larrymcjones Ari would go out of his way to get good stories on the show... regardless of whether it was a famous person or not so long as it was good... It’s not like that anymore in my opinion. Now it’s just bland and I can’t really get into nearly as many of the stories as I used to. I’m not saying the new host sucks it’s just this doesn’t seem like a good fit for him at all.
Larrymcjones it's because Ari is a comedian that has a lot of friends in the business so when he hosted we got a lot of good comics. Since he's gone a lot won't come back out of loyalty. Ari as host = more comedians with better stories

This has to be one of my faves in this series for poetic delivery and blunt, vulnerable honesty. I think fear must be the greatest, binding and entertaining theme of this platform. Rather than deliberately shock an audience in any cheap effort I think he perfectly describes the terrifying horrorshow of adolescence. Sex drugs and rock’n’roll fascinate a good lot of us as youngsters whilst we have no fucking clue what’s going on and try our best in attempt to appear cool, experienced and altogether with it. Innocence and peer pressure seem to often but not always create the perfect blend for hilarity. I’ve always found comfort in exchanging yesterday’s embarrassing trauma for for a good tale and a laugh that more of us relate to than we would commonly admit to otherwise. Stage therapy has my vote!🦇🧛🏻♂️🦇
The first half of Bret Ernst's special "Principal's Office" is a fantastic example of adolescent horror crafted into beautiful comedy. As a former bad kid myself (he says some things about how girls don't do the kinds of things he's talking about but I actually did some of the exact things he mentions, for example stealing a car in middle school) it hit deeply.

I was hoping to see some comments about how fucking hilarious this story was, but I guess everyone and their mother wants to bicker about the host. I mean I love Ari but, when he mentioned it on his podcast, it sounded like a co-opted decision that Ari made with Comedy Central due to some last minute conflicts that Ari had. Whatever the conflict was, it must have been a better opportunity for him. And he says that "we" still have great comics lined up, so he's obviously still involved with the show in some way. Nobody got screwed over so yeah give Roy a break...
... and also who the fuck sits through the intro anyway??

Wouldn’t want to meet him in real life. Tommy, on the other hand, sounds like a great guy to hang out with and I would love to watch him do a full length special.

Ari was the true OG inventor of the show. The intros never compared to the guests then and it still matters little now. But if they really wanted to shake things up after trying Roy- I vote Pope!
