Our 5 year old son walked in when you were talking about spending money and how expensive love is and he said "what, you have to pay for love"? Made me laugh and I thought you might enjoy it too.
There should be an episode of George and Rachel with both of their spouses. I would possibly spend $500 just to watch that!! Ok, maybe not, but still, I would definitely watch.
24-year-old single female here! Just thought I’d leave some thoughts: Coffee/tea is a nice first date if you don’t know the person super well! But if you do know them well (ex: if you’ve been good friends for a while), activity dates are super fun, too! Having a common goal to accomplish together aside from just the date can help break tension and show you how that person handles different situations.🙂
Don't take a first date on a restaurant. Do something cheap or free that is fun. Go to mini golf, it's cheap and if the date goes bad at least you did something that you enjoyed so it wasn't a total waste.
I see what you mean, but my view is that I have to eat no matter if it's alone or with a date. At least, when the dinner is over it's a signal that I can leave. If it's an activity and the date isn't going well, it's harder to wrap up.
Rural Minnesota… I have never been on a date or to a restaurant that we have spent more than $60. We would have to drive over and hour to the city to spend that amount of money 😅
In alot of cases, the woman has already spent a fortune preparing for a date. She spends her money on her hair, makeup, date clothes, perhaps manicures and pedicures. Women constantly spend to look good and appealing. Guys, that should be taken into account before thinking you are spending too much paying for the drinks and dinner.
I'm ready for a Ramsey dating app of some sort. Ramsey has a program to vet ELPs, so they can translate that into vetting finances of singles so they won't lie!
11 years single. no luck on dating sites, feels like the only ones on their are bottom of the barrel. tinder is for hookups, not interested. had the love of my life and she just decided to marry and use several men since me. and she's the only one to date that was amazing to me. i'm almost 44. will probably die alone.
21:02 "Why don't you just message me a nice compliment?" - Oh, Rachel. Poor, nieve, innocent Rachel. You cannot fathom the struggles that single folk have had on these apps. Nice compliments are ignored; being rude is rewarded. It's a jungle out here. 😅
Valentine’s Day as a forced day for lovers is definitely an ick. BUT Valentine’s Day as a fun day to love on and make it all about your kids, game changer!! We decorate for our kids and give them little gifts and our daughter a rose and we make homemade heart pizzas together as a family. It has made it SO sweet ❤❤❤
In this day and age you don't wanna go to a restaurant for the first date, That gets really expensive. You do something simple and affordable like coffee, odds are you meet the person on a dating app and odds are they have a date lined up with someone else the next day. Save dinner when it gets more serious than a first date/ meeting. Really happy I don't have to go on dates anymore.
It's hard for youngsters, and for anyone more experienced, too. Too much choice is no bueno. And trust seems to be gone for lots of us out here. Texting someone and situationships galore. So much keeping options open, dating around and saving folks on back burners..... I was recently contacted by someone from hs. They are in an "open" marriage. Ummmm no. It is so wild to be dating at any age in this era.
Scary enough! Doing financial counseling I have seen an insane number of charges coming from TikTok as of recently from their store! People that cannot afford to be spending what they are, not budgeting at all are simply giving their money away!
My husband took me bowling on our first date in summer 1996. Even with shoe rental, the 2 games couldn't have cost more than $15. Was clearly a great date since I married him.
I’m laughing out loud listening to this “what phone did you have” conversation because I had pay phones when I was dating my husband 😂 He did get a pager at some point during our courtship 🤣
In today's world, and with dating apps, there is also times when the girl is the one asking for first date. Wondering your take, if a girl asks, should she expect the guy to pay for first date?
I know the exact photo my husband would use in his dating profile, and yes, he is holding a large fish 🐟 😅 He loves that picture - bless. ❤ I am also throwing a vote out there for a Winston, Rachel, George & Whitney episode!
I feel like I have 2 new best friends and that is low-key kinda ick. 😂 I just found this podcast show over the weekend and have laughed so much watching them. Thanks RUclips for putting a winner on my homepage
I think a hike on a first date would be a little creepy unless you're going with a group of mutual friends or you already know each other well. Lol " come be alone in the woods with me." 😂
Excellent episode! Valentine's Day is soooo over-rated. I get the whole "show the one you love what they mean to you" stuff, but shouldn't we be doing that everyday?!?!?! Love you two! You two should have Winston and Whitney on for the Valentine's Day taping. I would sooooo love that! Just a thought. ❤ from Kansas City
Hot take - Coffee was my husband and my first date…. We are both sober and were when we met. If he would have asked me out for a drink, I wouldn’t have gone, and we wouldn’t have progressed.
Met my husband on hinge, never thought he’d want to date me! But the first thing I sent him was “what church do you go to?” Married in a year and a half 😆 Have those really hard values conversations first and early on, stay close to God, and it weeds out those who aren’t serious or right for you
In 1973 my first date with the boy I later married was dinner at a diner and the ice skating. He took me ice skating because his roommate told him that then he could hold hands with me! 😂 We married 8 months later at the ripe old age of 19. Next month we will celebrate our 50th anniversary. 🎉
Valentine's day 2024. So happy my wife of 9 years matches my frugality. Instead of high spend and over consumption we went back in time ~30 years to elementary school. Like school kids for Valentine's day we decorated a small brown paper lunch bag. Starting today until 2/14 I'm dropping a mini valentines day card with a message and mini chocolate into her bag taped to the side of the kitchen counter (like a school desk). Total cost, about 98 cents.
I see a lot of comments about dating apps and the costs, I would say, after seeing the numbers, my goodness!! Theres no hope ha ha. However, perhaps the producer could still be?
Rachel, I love that color on you 👍🏻 Also, so funny talking to Skylar, “No man on the horizon.” 😂 Seriously though…go Skylar! There’s a fella out there for ya.
That is adorable that George thinks he likes Rachel's husband Winston more than Winston likes him.... And that Rachel Loves Whitney and thinks maybe she loves Whitney more than Whitney loves her! We are Humans! We all feel this at some point (if they aren't joking!). Well, I'm a nice looking 70 year old Female with zero debt! What app!?
I am guessing that I am the only 63-year-old happily married person to watch this, but I have to make a comment. Do something inexpensive and fun on the first date. You really get to know someone in a happy, relaxed environment. For us (and my grown kids), playing outside is a lot of fun. Not fun is when your heels are too tight or you're counting how much the financial cost is going to set you back. BTW, you may want to consider the many benefits of dating someone who doesn't drink.
I’ve tried a dating app, and it was the biggest waste of $150! That amount was for six months, so I guess that’s cheap compared to other apps. But as a 41 year old woman, I have to say that at least half the guys look like they escaped from prison (I’m glad I’m not the only one to experience that), a few of them look completely socially awkward, and the ones who do look nice are a denomination I don’t agree with and/or want children. I’ve never desired to have children, and I most certainly don’t want to start in my 40’s! I’ll try to take social opportunities when they come up, but I’m at the point that if God intends for me to get married, He can orchestrate that somehow. And guys really should be the ones to pursue and initiate a relationship, anyway.
Cell phones were for rich people and businessmen when my husband and I dated back in 2001.Bought first cell phone (Nokia flip phone)… no apps invented yet. Calls and text only. We had to be available 24/7 by drs while my daughter was in NICU ( she was in there 3months). Back in 2004.
I’m the same age as Rachel and also married with kids so I love all the nostalgic talk! Makes me smile thinking back to when I first met my husband at age 23 in 2012 and how we grabbed a drink after playing volleyball! ☺️
Skyler, can we chat more? I’m married and not looking to date, I just think you seem incredibly wholesome. You’ll find someone nice if you keep at it. I’m rooting for you!
Hello big brother George. Please tell Skyler I said hi 👋 😂 Since I do not need to pay for dating apps, I can afford to pay for a second EveryDollar premium subscription;) As Mr. Kamel likely says, those who budget together stay together.
When do we get a Whitney, George, Rachel, and Winston episode?!
That would be a fun episode lol
Yes!!! 🙌
Our 5 year old son walked in when you were talking about spending money and how expensive love is and he said "what, you have to pay for love"? Made me laugh and I thought you might enjoy it too.

Yesssss!!!
That would be good!!
Totally agree! I want to see them on the podcast!
George and Rachel should get together 😉 they make a great couple
111
WE NEED A RAMSEY DATING APP.
That would be awesome👌
31:01
W- “Something romantic that you do that’s an ick?”
*Immediate panic from Rachel*
R- “No!”
😂
I almost spit out my coffee.
Hiiiiiilarious!!!! I definitely laughed out loud at that part!
😂😂😂

Celebrate Valentine's Day after everything goes on clearance. You'll get it all at least 50% off.
“We’re live”
*Thats how I live my life*
Loved Rachel calling Winston!! 😂😂😂 and George saying “love you”!! 😂😂😂 the best!!
I met my husband on a dating app called “Seniors meet”. He was holding a large salmon! LOL! That was 10 years ago & we have been married 7 years.
@GeorgeKamel get 2 full size duvets for the king bed and do the Scandinavian bed thing where you each have your own comforter. Game changer
💯
“I wish I could go back in time, id be so smoothe id have so much rizz”🤣 aint that the truth😂
Don't take a first date on a restaurant. Do something cheap or free that is fun. Go to mini golf, it's cheap and if the date goes bad at least you did something that you enjoyed so it wasn't a total waste.
Mini golf was my husband and I’s first date. Followed by apps at Outback

@@jennyhammond9261 if your going on a date with someone you did find something about them attractive at first.
Knoxville resident and fellow UT grad here! Savelli’s is still going strong, and your description of the building is spot on 😂
19 almost 20 year old in college watching this. Enjoyed it as always. Thank you.
Rural Minnesota… I have never been on a date or to a restaurant that we have spent more than $60. We would have to drive over and hour to the city to spend that amount of money 😅
College aged listener here🙋🏻♀️ I graduate this semester tho so I’m almost a full time working adult😅
The call to Winston was great! Man, I love this podcast!
22 years with my hs sweetheart. I cant fathom dating today. Our first dates were Mcd $1 menu and skate park visits. 😊
Every girls opener on Bumble
Girls: "Hey"
I tried Match, Christian Mingle, and Christian Cafe. I met my husband on Christian Cafe. We lived in different states. We've been married 6yrs now.

I met my wife on tinder back when tinder was free lol
Dating apps were around back in 2000. Plenty of Fish launched in 2003.
Oh, Hey Skylar!

That Winston cameo was the best thing ever
This reminds me of the podcast where Rachel said it was fine to go on a bunch of first dates for free food 😂
In this day and age you don't wanna go to a restaurant for the first date, That gets really expensive. I love how real you guys are! Hilarious bringing Winston in on that! That’s brave! 😂
It's hard for youngsters, and for anyone more experienced, too. Too much choice is no bueno. And trust seems to be gone for lots of us out here. Texting someone and situationships galore. Great episode. Love Winston being so real ❤️. What a great guy.
$192, 000 @ 24:00 if that isn't a ringing endorsement to stay single, I don't know what is.
In today's world, and with dating apps, there is also times when the girl is the one asking for first date. Wondering your take, if a girl asks, should she expect the guy to pay for first date?
Senior in high school here. So much love towards the both of you!
Rachel has the best facial expressions 😂😂😅😅 🤭🤭
College age subscriber here. Love the videos
The panic on Rachel's face when Winston asks if it is a romantic ick! 😂
I know the exact photo my husband would use in his dating profile, and yes, he is holding a large fish 🐟 😅 He loves that picture - bless. ❤
I am also throwing a vote out there for a Winston, Rachel, George & Whitney episode!
Rachel, I can relate to the water bottle everywhere… I do the same thing. I usually have three water bottles on my night stand any given night❤
😂 that was an awesome show 😂 Winston “ get two sinks Y’all” 😝 I felt that ❤
My wife and I are E-harmony alumni ! We lived 10 minutes away from each other and never would have met each other any other way.
I feel like I have 2 new best friends and that is low-key kinda ick. 😂 I just found this podcast show over the weekend and have laughed so much watching them. Thanks RUclips for putting a winner on my homepage

I wish Rachael would’ve share that Winston paid for the pizza with a credit card 😅😅

Scarlet is a beautiful name!! Wow so cool to have somebody on the show who is single! Anyways I never had any luck in dating apps.
When all else fails, go old school
We did coffee for a first date. It was great 😊
In 1973 my first date with the boy I later married was dinner at a diner and the ice skating. He took me ice skating because his roommate told him that then he could hold hands with me! 😂 We married 8 months later at the ripe old age of 19. Next month we will celebrate our 50th anniversary. 🎉
❤
I like Rachel even better after hearing from Winston.
College student here! :)
This has to be the best episode, so fun!
So much fun! You all crack me up 😂❤
Met my wonderful husband on Tinder in 2022
❤ the valentin episode x

Good I didn't live in America during our dating days, so expensive!
With ya George, not into the fish pics either, and used to get plenty of them.
You two are by far my favorite podcast!😊 Thanks for the laughs 😂
I see a lot of comments about dating apps and the costs, I would say, after seeing the numbers, my goodness!! Theres no hope ha ha. However, perhaps the producer could still be?
GEORGE- why not use the Proximity Principle for finding a date?? That’s how I met my wife and didn’t need any dating apps, which were too stressful.
Isn’t that basically how most of you have met your spouses?
Rachel, I love that color on you 👍🏻 Also, so funny talking to Skylar, “No man on the horizon.” 😂
Seriously though…go Skylar! There’s a fella out there for ya.

That Winston call was fun! George should have called Whitney. Also you didn’t rate the drink. Going to assume it was not good.
George! Why did you get an appetizer?!? Lol
I’m not sure anymore about getting married. I think I’m better single now days 😮 to expensive to be married
One big benefit of a relationship is splitting housing cost and someone to help you with little things in life.
With the sheets, get separate sheets / duvets and you are set
You guys make me laugh so much😂

It's amazing how once they say the name of the drink and you google it that the site they copied the recipe from 1 to 1 is the first result.
Savelli’s is still open. it’s more Italian than it is pizza and their food is absolutely amazing
Thanks for the morning entertainment 😂
17:30 George: "I love fishermen" ... My oh my, how the turn tables
My now wife hit me with the “heyya heyya” on bumble
I met my fiancé on The League and we’re getting married this year. 😊
I’ve tried a dating app, and it was the biggest waste of $150! That amount was for six months, so I guess that’s cheap compared to other apps. Rachel, my husband and I got engaged on the 13th too😅❤
My husband and I met online in 2009.
I don't even know where I could go to dinner to spend that much if I wanted to!!!
I bought a lifetime sub to bumble because it’s been the best for me and I’ve already been on a year so I’ve safer money cause it was 395 for life. 😊
I’m single…I’m a great listener and also low maintenance…just you know throwing there lol.
But joking aside. Another great episode!
You guys are awesome!

Dating apps existed in 2009! I knew several older friends who found their spouse online and my aunt as well. 😅😅
Met my wife in a chatroom back in 2001 when meeting people online was still considering creepy!
Skyler, can we chat more?
I’m married and not looking to date, I just think you seem incredibly wholesome. You’ll find someone nice if you keep at it. I’m rooting for you!
That was an awesome podcast!
The free versions of the dating apps aren't really helpful. You don't have many options to initiate communication as a free member.
I met my husband on tinder 8yrs ago 🤣❤️
I still have the iPhone 10. I’ve been needing to upgrade I know. 4:33
I recently went from an iPhone 8 to the iPhone 15. 😅
I always run out of swipes on Tinder. My wife tells me to just pay for a month!
Hello big brother George. Please tell Skyler I said hi 👋 😂
Since I do not need to pay for dating apps, I can afford to pay for a second EveryDollar premium subscription;)
