It's good to see you both together on both your shows. I love to see you both becoming self made millionaires. Sure, Rachel had a better starting point with no debt. That doesn't negate her accomplishments. Her dad fathered and mentored her AND she was teachable. I want to set my kids up for success just like Ramsey did. But, the bottom line is that some adults are NOT teachable. Be more like Rachel. George is also successful because he followed Ramsey's teachings AND he is teachable. Instead of hating on these 2, BECOME TEACHABLE! ❤

@rachelcruze I would love to see Rachel talk about the 2nd generation life of the babysteps more on the show. Dave stresses changing the family tree, so I would love to see more content surrounding the 2nd generation.
That’s because happiness has nothing to do with money. Yes having no money can make you feel unhappy but having a lot of money doesn’t make one feel happy. The more money we make the heavier the burden of doing good with it grows. It’s actually quite stressful to manage becoming wealthy.
I know contentment can come living in a condo or 5 million dollar home. Rachel though lives like her family in a mansion. Conten yes, but struggling to not spend, that's a muscle she wants to control because it's needless, she doesn't need 15 jeans, but she knows she can afford it.
I still do my budget in excel - it started with a Christmas gift planner for the 60 odd people I have to buy for, then onto my current account, and now I have an archive since 2007, a monthly excel page covering 3 bank accounts, and a savings worksheet. But the earliest thing was paying myself first to the work credit union when I earned less than €10k, and just increased that as I earned more over the years. We’ve worked hard to put aside money and pay cash for cars and replacement washing machines etc, and to overpay our mortgage when we could. So my dream of buying a boat or a small holding for retirement are not complete pipe dreams and day to day life is covered from cash.
Regardless of how well Rachel had it, the moment she started her life as an independent adult she could have undone everything and jumped on the normal bandwagon, so it may actually take more strength to continue following that lifestyle because of the expectations she had on herself. A lot of pressure and she’s done incredibly well. ❤
Well she went from college into a well paid job and marriage with a good man who made a good income. Her dad told his children if they "misbehaved" they were out of the work and will. So it is a choice, but how many would do that? He gives her a lot of stuff for her children, might have helped with house, but they will never want as long as they stay good in his mind.

It's also nice to see the attitude and what woman Rachel ended growing into. I don't know her personally, only what is shown but, hopefully she's a decent women and an example that if your child grows up like her, it won't be bad.
@AnonAnonUK2024lol you’re acting like she was the one struggling as an infant and child. She was born the same year they filed for bankruptcy. It wasn’t like she was 5 years old and actually remembers going through what her parents went through
@AnonAnonUK2024 I’d argue for your point if they were older than 4 or 5 years. Sure, she was affected by it, but it’s not like she even knew what was going on. It would be a different story if she was older and somewhat grasped what was going on.
She was never poor, they always had a nice home and food and clothes and how many "poor" people have 3 state tuitions paid for their kids. He could have sent them elsewhere but it didn't make fiscal sense to him. (and kept them closer) They all have million dollar homes and Dave's is enormous. Grandkids have values I'm sure but Papa Dave spoils them rotten. I'm sure they have to instill things at home to have them know they can't just ask Grandpa. He bought them all motorized cars to drive, his daughter Denise asked for a small swing, he bought a large complex of swings, slides etc. It's fun but he must have different rules for the grandbabies. : )
@AnonAnonUK2024 For real though, she lived as I did . Coupons, consign and only buying things on sale. I still don't buy full price. They had a nice home, she admits she doesn't remember not having money really except they didn't eat out on Sunday's when people at church did. Dave worked and saved enough to send them all to college and pay for weddings and maybe some of their large homes. They weren't "poor" for long, he had a misstep and got back on track. The beater car didn't last long and he NEVER asked Sharon to work or feel guilty they had more children. He makes some feel bad wanting to stay home because they make 40 or 50,000 and need more money. He obviously made great money and didn't need Sharon to pitch in.
@AnonAnonUK2024 She mentioned on show with all 3 kids, it wasn't that bad. She did remember and as a toddler, you don't care about most things She had her room, she had chores, got a 1.00 for certain ones, had toys, etc. Dave was never "poor" for long. He saved being a businessman and salesman hundreds of thousands of dollars and cash flowed college and homes and cars. She wasn't poor but they did have a strict budget. It was more like a bump. She did allude he was very strict and her mom would take them clothes shopping for latest styles and he wouldn't like them. Her teens seemed the most that affected her and she'll not tell (and shouldn't ) their family issues then or now.
Rachel is a great example of how she was able to have a great life as a daughter because of the great desicions her dad has made and now she gets to pass that legacy on to her children with her own hard work.

I too am a net worth millionaire, my Dad too taught me financial principles. For the record my university was not paid for (and I dropped out). Her story is not special. She had the discipline to act out financial wisdom. If it’s not you, teach your kids!!!
She didnt' live in poverty though, her only bad memory is not eating out on Sunday's with other church people. They bought at consign or on sale and her Mom clipped coupons. I did all that but my husband didn't have the earning potential of Dave, being a cop, but that's fine. She admits by middle/high school, they were fine, he saved for 3 full state tuitions, his wife NEVER worked and still doesn't, except at home (and I'm sure they have help) and he has many toys he can afford. There's nothing to be ashamed of, but Dave's short lived poverty didn't effect them the way real poverty does most of America.

That sounds like an adorable book with an important message and like y'all said, adults need the lessons and reminders too!

I just love you two, thank you for all that you do. I am a mom of 4 young adults (18 - 22) and I love to see this keep rolling generationally. Keep it going, but high five to you both and the whole Ramsey team!
George, I hope you get millions of subscribers, you are entertaining and hilarious! Nice “Christmas” music as well! LOL! Looking forward to a great 2024. Billy #3
Do people nowadays just throw around the term "out of touch" to describe people who got ahead regardless of how their success was achieved? Like Rachel was born into a rich family. Is it her fault that others aren't? Just listen to the video. She acknowledged she was ahead. And you don't know what challenges she's had. George and Jade weren't well off to begin with. Is it your fault that you have 100k student loans? Is it your fault you got a 20k car loan? Why don't you judge yourself instead of others, maybe you'll get ahead in your finances too. These videos are mostly just for entertainment, don't let it affect you to a point you need to call someone out of touch just because theyre labeled "millionaires". If anything whoever has excessive student loans and car loans are out of touch from the reality of responsible finance.
Rachel was a newborn when Dave went bankrupt and creditors were calling. By the time Rachel went to college, Dave had turned his life around and built up a good net worth. He was as able to pay for all three of his kids' college.
You're arguing against points nobody has made. Yes she's out of touch. Yes it's not relatable. And yes it matters. No matter how much you want to white knight for her.
People keep bringing up Rachel's dad. To me if she claimed that she didn't get any help, that is when I would have an issue with her. She has never claimed that at all. She is honest and seems to be grateful for what she has.
yes, she doesn't lie. She knows she is more than a miillionaire, has a 5 + bedroom home, gorgeous grounds, she can do whatever she wants to some degree and her inheritance will be substantial unless his company tanks. But she knows behavior, she can spend daily on Amazon and it's fine but knows others can't, so tries to relate. I'm sure she thanks God daily and tries to bring her kids up to know they don't need to have everything they want.
I love the new children's book and would love to hear more about ways to temper easy spending on your child. I have only one and it took him 9 years to get here. Really want to avoid spoiling him as it is very easy in this situation. Thank you.☺️
Thank you so much for the content. My goal for 2024 is to RESPECT MY BUDGET, I feel embarrassed about it but I struggle with it along with that it comes getting as close ad possible to baby step 4!
I approve the short sale approach to home buying. My wife and I bought a foreclosure as our first home (I jokingly call it our 9 year flip), upon selling we move right into a short sale. It’s been a great way to get our net worth up to where it should have been (we started out life behind the power curve and needed a bump, this sweat equity was that bump we needed). Once we have the money I want to keep repeating the process buying, flipping renting (kind of the bigger pockets brrrr method with one r removed).
The end of the video where they stopped back at Ramsay office and you can read behind George through window: "Someone's life will change, because you came to work today."
I always enjoy watching you all in the Ramsey videos. RUclips suggested you this morning. I've watched three videos, very good info, but I wanted to offer my opinion; the movie clips add no value to the video. They are kind of cheezie, just my view.
I'm getting your book for multiple family members the youngest is 31 and the oldest almost 80 : / I really wish the book was written long ago! Great episode Rachel and George : )
I reccomend starting to read to your child at birth. They don't need to make eye-contact to hear your voice. I brought books to the hospital and started reading to my son before we even brought him home.
I went to a Total Money Makeover event back between 2005-2007 timeframe and she was at the event. She was just a teenager at the time, acne and all (sorry Rachael) and it's so wonderful to see her still involved and so passionate. Am I the only one who loves the slogan at Rasmey in the background at the end? "Someone's life will change because you came to work today"
Love you guys! Enjoy the laughs EVERY Thursday!
Love George and Rachel!
Love George and Rachael
Rachel's childrens book is LEGIT!
I just love you two, thank you for all that you do. I am a mom of 4 young adults (18 - 22) and I love to see this keep rolling generationally. Keep it going, but high five to you both and the whole Ramsey team!
George!! Let her answer the questions😂
I had to stop watching because of that.
Agree, especially on the smart money happy hour. Like them both, just want to get Rachel finish an answer...
George, I hope you get millions of subscribers, you are entertaining and hilarious! Nice “Christmas” music as well! LOL! Looking forward to a great 2024.

No one says Rachel doesn't work hard but when she says she loves below her means it's still a luxurious lifestyle as her means are so high.
YES. The media told them they were poor and oppressed. It's sad.
Yes, people want to blame others for their failures to help cope that they themselves are to blame. Its sad but its the truth
YEESSSS GIRL! 👏👏👏 People be hatin'.
George!!! Not you faking not having your wallet and then volunteering Rachel to pay for extra stuff 😂😂😂
LOL i loved that part. Pretty sure they used the company card tho.
@@JOSHT901 Why she said receipt
We want to see Dave in the Tesla!!
he has been
I LOVE YOU GEORGE. There I said it. You and Rachel are both my favs!
Still do the budget in Excel and always will. You can make it into whatever you want to suit your needs.
Same
I love the new children's book and would love to hear more about ways to temper easy spending on your child. I have only one and it took him 9 years to get here. Really want to avoid spoiling him as it is very easy in this situation. Thank you.☺️
I purchased 2 copies of her new book after watching this episode.
Was that the RC wallet that came out at the drivethru? Some product placement?
Thank you so much for the content. My goal for 2024 is to RESPECT MY BUDGET, I feel embarrassed about it but I struggle with it along with that it comes getting as close ad possible to baby step 4!
You can do it!
Thats si funny. Thanks Rachel for paying it forward! 😆
Loved this video!! Also, Please make more videos with Delony and George. They are the DREAM team imo!!!
Love that children’s book!
Love your videos man! Your editor is on fire
Fantastic. I'm grabbing a copy of Rach's kids book for my nephew.
I can't believe he " Paid it forward with her card" Lol
🥲🥲🥲 Rachels book!!! 🥰
Balancing with kids is so important. Thank you for this topic.
She lives in a 5 or 6 bedroom mansion with 5.5 baths. Short sale is nice but it's relative.
@@deb9806 He old home was 4 bedrooms, very pretty but they must have wanted larger.
What’s up with the delaminating fabric on both Tesla B-pillars?
He said on their podcast it was an older Tesla with 100k+ miles on it and it’s been in a couple wrecks
I love the message on that wall!
The end of the video where they stopped back at Ramsay office and you can read behind George through window: "Someone's life will change, because you came to work today."
Who edits these videos? Great job!!! Another banger, George!
That Blank Check clip took me back. I loved that movie
Great episode Rachel and George : )
became a millionaire and ran out when I choose an 8% withdrawal rate 🤣🤣
Ooh, I love this idea for a regular episode topic. Keep 'em coming. And Rachel, your book looks/sounds amazing! 💛
When George started the pay it forward with her card that made me lol. out loud.
I reccomend starting to read to your child at birth. They don't need to make eye-contact to hear your voice.
I brought books to the hospital and started reading to my son before we even brought him home.
I love Rachel
I would highly encourage you to read to little Mia each night! We have a 10 month old and have been doing that since day 1.
Can never start too early
I read to my kids while they were babies. start young with reading and music...including infants!
This book is great for our church library.😊
Yes I love George and Rachel. Cool friends.
I love these
When George and Rachel asked to like and subscribe, I happily obliged! Looking forward to more great stuff on this channel!!
Great video and great book!!
I'm right there with Rachel on the coffee, it's about the caffeine and getting the vibe
I went to a Total Money Makeover event back between 2005-2007 timeframe and she was at the event. She was just a teenager at the time, acne and all (sorry Rachael) and it's so wonderful to see her still involved and so passionate. She has worked hard, for many years and her personality is always so refreshing. Loved. the video!
Love both of you!
Merry Christmas!
What is Rachel‘s review on the dirty chai?
