Today, I am joined in the Old Tesla by the author, investor, entrepreneur, and centi-millionaire Alex Hormozi. You've probably seen his videos on RUclips, TikTok, or heard his podcast "The Game." Alex and I discussed wealth, investing, work-life balance, and more, while enjoying coffee (and muscle milk).
George Kamel is a personal finance expert and co-host of The Ramsey Show. Following Ramsey’s proven money plan, George went from negative net worth to a millionaire in under 10 years. His goal is to help people spend less, save more, and avoid money traps so they can live a life with more margin, options and freedom.
This channel will simplify complex money topics, bust money myths with actual facts, and debunk the stupid financial advice you're seeing in your social media feed. All with a healthy dose of pop culture, humor, and snark.
The way i see it, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. $52k dividends received in 2022.
That's why it is advisable that you have to invest while you still have a regular job or earning a regular income, and do it constantly. You still need to have something that will keep you going even if you're investing. Good financial planning and money allocation is the key.
I have had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured some money in value stocks and digital asset, i accrued over $80K in dividends last year

@@donaldlyons17 Broke and poor are different mindsets. Broke is temporary, poor isn't. The current situation is the same but the long term outcomes are different.
@@williamd6455 WHAT NOTHING FROM NOTHING STILL TENDS TO LEAVE NOTHING..... I get the hope aspect but people don't flee bad situations because they think they can fix them no do they?
What makes him incredibly smart is his constant reframes to situations that others won't question.
I think if we literally start to question our own thoughts and what we believe to be reality with the same or similar context of reframing, we would see some crazy changes as well.

My dad was poor, old and sick. He advised me to make residual income. It took me a while to figure out how after he passed but pops got me on the right track.

All take out food is suspect cooked in unhealthy oils and often laced with sugar. Cooking at home is well worth it. Meal prepping is a way to go
I think Alex means it more that you could hire a chef or meal prep service if you could afford it. You are 100% right though
That’s not the point. The point is to maximize time so you can work.

As someone who grew up listening to the Ramsey Channel, I have seen people on it come and go to do their own thing. I am glad to listen to this podcast episode because it is informative and I learned two things; that George is middle eastern and that the guest Alex plays the long game in entrepreneurship. :)

1. It would be interesting to see him outside of the studio environment.
2. It would be good to see Dave getting a mini interview from someone not at a major news outlet.

Dave gives advice for extremely low IQ and non competent people. He made millions with debt and then preaches no debt. It's like some speds shouldn't have credit cards because they're emotionally screwed, congrats you're a genius

@@midkort what you mean his income is not so small he does not have any left over..... I don't consider people who make multiple six figures every several years to be in a bad position since they often have made 1 million so quickly
@@midkort SO maybe I don't understand the difference between spending less than he makes and making more than he spends..... For me I have to make a certain amount of money in order to have a chance to spend less than I make. He is neither broke nor break even so he has to be making more than he spends.

Great video, wish I did the "stop listening to broke people" advice ten years ago. My 20s was a lot of buying a nioer car, going to all the concerts and traveling the world! Now I'm learning to take it easy, save more and have a relaxed life style.

Agreed with the reasoning behind the statements he made. You absolutely do need to be motivated with a goal and plans which you are taking action on for what he said to work. No point in getting takeaway if you are not making money when doing that. You do have to measure and compare for motivation and ideas.
