Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

@JacquelinePeters03 However, if you do not have access to a professional like Clementina Abate Russo, quitting your job to focus on trading may not be the best approach. It is important to consider all options and seek guidance from reliable sources before making any major decisions. Consulting with an AI or using automated trading systems can also be helpful in managing investments while balancing other commitment.

Idk how big the sneakerhead community is, but Im sure the sneaker resale community is 100s of millions of dollars if not close to billions.
Here's the thing with the sneaker question.. only do it if you're already flipping sneakers full-time or on the side and making passive income. Otherwise, if you're contemplating it because of "a good deal" you probably don't have enough experience researching and flipping for it to be a justified investment.

  • @retiredat60.5
    @retiredat60.5 5 месяцев назад +1

Not a sneakerhead, but still aware of their existance and know that there is a true market for them. But you have to look at them as a collectible, not something you would wear. I don't know the mechanics of that market, however, so I don't know how likely a pair going for $25K are to appreciate, but I would think if they have made it to that level they are unlikely to suddenly fall out of favor and have the market for them crater. It's gotta be better than crypto, right? :) :) :)

I'm still in baby step 2. I have savings of $1000. But then I got a tax return of $2500. I wish I could just save it. I want to apply it all to my last credit card debt. I also need the cash for things I need in the near future. Hiring someone to do yard work that's too hard for me to do by myself. Tree removal because the roots could destroy my foundation. (I've been watching cement patio crack get bigger for 6 years) Replacing my 9 year old cellphone that doesn't work fully any longer. So rude!!! Anyhow, a different vet did surgery #1 for $575.a drastic cut from the 3k the original guy wanted. It lasted almost 2 yrs. The second one was a super emergency on the spot surgery bc the pee tract scarred COMPLETELY shut. They were draining urine through the belly with a giant syringe! Surprisingly, that old school vet only charged me $675 for walk in (new to the state & area) on the spot surgery, 2 days hospital stay & all meds! 2 yrs now and my kitty is great! On my lap as I type this. It's worth it if it's your kids or your beloved pets. ❤😻😻😻😻😻

Crisis into inconvenience is on point. My father in law just recently passed away with no life insurance and we had to pay for the entire funeral arrangements by ourselves. Thousands of dollars later, it truly did let us handle the funeral and properly mourn instead of stressing how to ask others for help that clearly were fine with us shouldering it all financially. No one in that family even knows we had savings, everyone thought we put it all on credit and we're still more than happy to not offer a dime of assistance or even to offer to help with bringing refreshments to the viewing.

I was saying I'm done going to work ill and trying to make appointments outside work hours because our sick time has a max on hours and we can't cash out when we retire or quit. She was like what if you get sick and need that time but its used up?! I said there's short term and long term disability and... She cut me off and said not ALL of us have a 6 month emergency fund!! She's the one that pointed out 10 things she recently bought and a couple things in the mail from Amazon for her adult children (19 &22) that day! I think she's jealous of what I've accomplished on low income (just like her) house with 25% down payment, emergency fund, home improvement fund, well stocked pantry ...

I just bought my most expensive, by far, pair of sneakers. They were $150 Hokas. I didn't know about the red bottoms of the shoes. I agree with going to Thailand too.

I had all this money saved up in my emergency fund. Bam, at the end of January I had emergency surgery. Before I left the hospital, they said that if I was to pay all of my out-of-pocket expenses I would save $300! Hey that was a no-brainer. I tapped into my fully funded emergency fund to pay for it. I was within site of my total out-of-pocket medical expenses for the year when I paid that bill. Still, that hurt. So, I am paying off other medical bills and filling my fully funded emergency fund back up. My job has not had any overtime in months. That is killing me because that is how I have funded my emergency fund. I have a side gig that brings in money slower than overtime. I'll get it done somehow

Most expensive pair of shoes I own is probably a pair of Lucchese boots. Right around $1000, but they're damn good boots and I wear the hell out of them. They're on their 3rd resole, so this may be their last, but for a decade of wear I'm not too mad about it. Luxury purchase? Absolutely. Did I need them? Absolutely not. Did I want them? Yes. Could I afford them? Also yes.

I'm Dave-ish on Step 4 and have everything wrapped into one thing. I broke Dave's #1 rule and didn't dip into my savings account to pay for a root canal I had to have and paid with one of my credit cards and with that added to my preplanned vacation, managed to max it out.
Luckily I paid everything off and paid for the rest of my procedure with my debit card. Because I keep everything paid off, I dont have a problem keeping them open.
Fast forward about a year and now I'm facing a tooth extraction and my dr. wants me to have an implant put in which will cost about $5000 which is 10x my monthly income. What do I do?

I do find Anglo-Saxon people very cold (based on the Ramsey shows). Having a more latin background, I don't feel that staying with your family or helping your family is that bad. If my mom has really bad neighbours and I can help her, I would do it. And this is because she will probably not afford to help herself. Because parents usually aren't big fans of being helped by their children.
Wait a sec. So helping a pet is an emergency but helping your mom is not. And these people claim to be Christians... 😮

Over $150 on shoes is a no!
I see it this way. In 100 years Noone will even remember who you are or what you owned. Why waist that much money on things that could disappear tomorrow. I'm not interested in anything that going be gone tomorrow.

If someone wore 22k shoes, I would not know.. and if I knew.. would care even less. I don’t see the value at all. (I can understand $200 shoes for work or hiking that will last years or really benefit the individual, help with foot pain or something).

The most my wife or I have ever spent on a pair of shoes is about $75. And she has everyone beat by spending $0/year on makeup.

I had to increase my emergency savings to more than $1k because my last debt I’m paying down on is quite high and will take me several years to pay it off and I don’t feel comfortable having only $1k for savings for 3+ years. So my savings is a priority. I also have a slush fund for small fun outings to at least have something to look forward to.

The most I ever spent on shoes was £80. I've had them 6 years, wear them nearly every day and they would look almost as good as new with a good clean. They are also the most I've ever spent on a single item of clothing. I typically thrift clothes or buy good quality stuff on sale then wear it till it breaks or no longer fits. The idea of spending your life's savings on shoes you're not even gonna wear is beyond me.

So, in the past the emergency fund was to be funded without worrying about interest rate and quick access. Now, it is suggested to place in high yield savings in a non local bank that may take a day or two for a transfer. Why the change, is it just to chase the interest?

Only get rich quick schemes can grow 700% in 6 years. And usually they don’t work. A growth stock more likely would grow around 20% a year at best and more likely somewhere around 15% per year. Even 25% growth per year would get you 381% growth over 6 years. Nowhere near 700%. Growth mutual funds and ETFs are great, but they aren’t 700% growth in 6 years great.

I'm debt free and used $1500 from my emergency fun to pay for diagnostic tests and treatment when my cat was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last month. I wasn't willing to pay for any invasive surgery but was willing to try oral treatments to save my 21 year old cat. He was my baby. I ended up having to put him down which was an addition $500 but he was worth every penny. Thanks to my emergency fund I didn't have to worry about it.
