A bit of a mistake with the part right before unlocking the quest itself, you 'can' do that part solo. The mission itself is the only thing you 'need' two people for.

They locked one of the main selling points of the entire expansion behind content that a good chunk of solo players will literally just avoid because that is simply the way they want to play the game.
I get that this is a positive thing for both the game and the players since it will definitely force more people to get used to interacting with other players and doing voice chat centric content, but man do I feel for the solo players right now...

I have nearly 500 raid completions and I've mostly reverted to being a solo player because it just feels so much better to not be tethered to anyone or have to deal with anyone else's BS. This sucks.

Great guide! Me and a buddy who I’ve done Vow with tried it Tuesday night and had fun competing it. I then helped a friend who hasn’t done Vow do it and it was a breeze.
I understand everyone’s gripes about you NEEDING two people but outside of that it’s a well designed and fun mission. A nice breath of fresh air from Bungie.
Forcing you to have exactly 2 players is a massive F U to every solo player.
It wouldn't be an issue if this mission had matchmaking but no they had to make us socially awkward MFs go into LFG just to get the cool crap.
Bro Is a multiplayer game, The fact that you can complete many tasks on your own is the exception, not the rule. There are various ways to find players to play with now, but if you have social anxiety that's a problem you have to solve, not the video game

So was almost done doing the 3 events had 1 more encounter to go and the game crashed had to donthat area over but when I completed it no light so do you they got to be in 1 sitting or do I need 2 ppl for even that step
So. To me it sounds like it’s locked if you need to do the meatball boss like the khovostov is.
Meatball is back and drops the last mote like it should. I had to kill it twice but it works now.
So if you have no friends, you’ll have to LFG for every time you want a new class item roll, and if you have a lot of friends, then you can only bring one. Thanks Bungo, very cool.

U can get them out of any pale heart chest after u completed the quest. It is confirmed by hovering over the class item at the ghost vendor in the pale heart

People complaining about solo, I’m pissed being part of a 3 man fire team/clan since day 1 D1 and now it’s going to be an odd man out. Everything is a 3 man FT other than raids.

Not really a secret it’s part of the seasonal quest once you get to that step

People saying lfg fot solos. Have you met this communities blueberries? Its either glass lickers or sweat lords who leave if you die once.
I only lfg and don't have enough people to play content like raids with unless I do and I have yet to come across a single toxic player 🤷. Everyone I've met has been kind and helpful allowing me as a usually solo player to get a few raids done. No reason for people not to do the same here

I feel like this mission is a huge "go f yourself" for solo players. I know you can do an lfg but I actively try to avoid lfg since a large amount of the player base is extremely toxic, homophobic, transphobic, etc. So I'll regularly get kicked or harassed. Plus lots of death threats, getting called slurs, having to justify my right to exist, etc.
I had a very weird encounter for a raid years ago. I think it was leviathan. I posted i needed a carry for final boss for achievement no mic and some guys invited and told me to wait while they finish eating so they make me wait 15 minutes just to laugh at me and boot me😢 wtf was the point. I never tried raiding again

Yes, all in one go. I suggest doing Blooming last since that's where the exotic mission starts
Bungie used these items to sell us on this DLC. I think they should have been transparent and told us you'll need a competent friend who owns the final shape as well to acquire the exotic.

I’m a little confused about the clock part. You showed a picture where you said that both of you had 8 as an overlap but then you shot 4? Are you just reading the clock backwards or is it backwards for one player?
The second one has 12, so we are reading it like an actual clock. So I shot where 8 o’ clock would be on a real analog clock

Terrible design-choice to have this restricted to 2 players. I get that it fits the design of the mission but this completely interrupted our 3-players session which we usually run all the content with. Played a few hours since reset and did everything together up until this point where one of us had to leave the fireteam.
Wouldn't it be possible to simply allow 3 players and still impose the Light/Dark restriction? Besides Crimson-Days you always form 3 or 6 player fireteams with the occasional 4 for Gambit...
