Hey, I’m 63, so I was a kid in the 60’s, teenager in the 70’s, young adult (20’s) in the 80’s, and my 30’s in the 90’s. To be perfectly honest with you, those are probably the best decades for music, movies, pop culture, freedom….you could do what you wanted and just nobody gave it shit. I highly recommend listening to music from those eras. You’ll see and hear the progress of the music. For example 60’s gave us The Beetles, The Knks, Rolling Stones, and Cream, the first British Invasion (the 2nd happened in the 80’s) and surf music. 70’s brought Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Bread Boston, and Foreigner. The 80’s brought old school hip hop (Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow - check out his 8 million Stories), many of the groups you know. There was all types of music on the charts; Ska, Reggae, synth-pop, acoustical, rock, power ballads. Should check out ABC (Look of Love LP), Haircut 100, Madonna, Madness before “Our House”….”One Step Beyond”, “Welcome to The House of Fun”. Steve Winwood, Robert Palmer, and Robert Plant’s solo material after Led Zeppelin broke up. Also, check out Jennifer Rush. She wasn’t that big here but in the EU she was huge. She’s the co-writer and original singer of “The Power of Love”. Celine Dion did it in 1992. The 90’s, mostly dance music, but fun. C+C Music Factory, Haddaway, Madonna’s “Vogue”. They were all great eras. If I bored you or put you to sleep, I’m sorry. I just think the 60’s-90’s were filled with great music.

I love Rock because of these guys, they were the first band I seen on MTV, I was 6 years old, then came Bon Jovi, Poison, Skid Row, Motley Crue, Whitesnake, that following year was INXS, I loved Michael Hutchence. Those were the days.
Love the lyrics too! You can see they put everything they've got into it, not enough superlatives in English to describe how epic this band is!! (Right sexy is one - damn Joe) :) 🤘
Always! I was so fortunate to see them live many times! I was so young but I knew how special they were. Steve Clark was not of this world, I was up against the barriers squashed ....couldn't take my eyes off him. Such talent!
I first heard this song in 1982 when I was visiting my grandma in Detroit and I was watching MTV on their first year. I heard the song for the first time on MTV and I started blubbering like a baby. I do nothing about Def Leppard but I just love the song. It's one of my most favorite songs it's always stuck with me. It is one of the most heartbreaking gut wrenching songs ever written it is a really truly beautiful song
They certainly are the rock band with the most hits, Hysteria alone had 7 hits, that’s insane, most bands don’t even have more than 5. They were only rivalled by Van Halen and Bon Jovi, Billboard charts wise
Absolutely same thing with Kansas their commercial success was left overture but their best stuff was from their first album Kansas and the follow up Masque
Literally can't count how many times I've listened to this song, over several decades. And just now, tonight with a few drinks in me, I hear the masterpiece of the guitar singing up and down along with Joe during the verses. Not note for note. But lifting up and down in beautiful melody underneath Joe's vocals. Jesus. Gorgeous.
Wish we could I love the 80s still got my members only jackit still dress 80s style and do my hair like in the 80s I'm a 80s lady even in 2021 music was awesome then I got a lot of stuff from the 80s

(I know many of you that are young don't know what's that like) We had our own special way of communication. Payphones, passing notes in school, meeting each other at the mall, or the arcade. But most of all we had this music! This amazing music along with so many other bands (Motley Crue, Ratt, Twisted Sister, AC/DC, Van Halen, Quiet Riot. We'd watch /listen to MTV ALL the time. I'm so glad this was my teenage years!

They still tour and they STILL sound like a million bucks. I’ve seen them at least 5 times and they always know how get the crowd going!
@@kyzrsosay It would be amazing to see them again. I will keep an eye out. Maybe this summer at one if our fairgrounds. It's been years.
3 times here🤘🏻
@@tonyasanders They are still soooo good❤
Although I like Def Leppard, I will say they aren't that good live.
I’m 60 now been rocking for a long time love the eighties music best ever and will never be macthed
This band had a huge string of hits.
They certainly are the rock band with the most hits, Hysteria alone had 7 hits, that’s insane, most bands don’t even have more than 5. They were only rivalled by Van Halen and Bon Jovi, Billboard charts wise
Yup so many hits
@@stepladder3257 and yes most don't have more than 5
Guns N Roses and Def Leppard are the best bands and my favorite!
@@abigailcunningham379 agree and I also love me some AC/DC
We just didn't know how timeless all these classics would be so many yrs later. We lived it and enjoyed to the max.
Def Leopard's first two records are criminally underrated. Everyone knows the radio hits, but that first record has some serious riffs on it.
Great group Great song Great video
not underrated in our generation. I worked many an event. They were loved.
Absolutely same thing with Kansas their commercial success was left overture but their best stuff was from their first album Kansas and the follow up Masque
I'm always so impressed, not with just the entire band, but with Joe Elliot's supreme confidence.
Literally can't count how many times I've listened to this song, over several decades. And just now, tonight with a few drinks in me, I hear the masterpiece of the guitar singing up and down along with Joe during the verses. Not note for note. But lifting up and down in beautiful melody underneath Joe's vocals. Jesus. Gorgeous.
❤👊👊
They lost so much when Willis was let go and then, of course, Clarke dying. Phil Collen sucks and Campbell's playing style never fit.
I am drinking now and listening this mastwr piece
@@johnstrika9170 It's Clark! And Phil is amazing! Who the hell is Vivian!?
@@johnstrika9170 ...wow that's harsh, with out Phil and Vivian we wouldn't have the DL we know today, who are still going at it.
This music is timeless great lyrics and great guitar work I’m 71 years old and love this music
They don’t make music like this anymore!
So true.
Saw them in concert for this tour and have seen them many times since, still addicted to them!
Why can’t we just all live in the 80’s again
I’ll bring my members only jacket
High top converse ( still rocking my converse), and my records
Back when we pulled some crazy sh*t without somebody constantly making videos of teenage shenanigans that we outgrew.
Lol... It's a miracle we lived through them in the first place. 😁
Wish we could I love the 80s still got my members only jackit still dress 80s style and do my hair like in the 80s I'm a 80s lady even in 2021 music was awesome then I got a lot of stuff from the 80s
Well, you're definitely white. No one else would enjoy going back. Lmao
Listening Tonight here in Kalamazoo Michigan, Saw these Guys their first Concert with Their Drummer only having one Arm.. It was at the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek Michigan.. They played in the Round, a revolving stage so you could see the band playing from all angles... Great Show, Never forget it.. Thank You Gentlemen, 70's Rock and Roll Guy👊👊👊👊
They never get old!
You rock on, Shelley ! 💝💝
Great things in life only gets better and stronger as time goes by the 💩just rot’s away

Great song, brings me back, I was sixteen in 82, this shit is dope
Same here 😅
I'm glad my father raised me on the good stuff. Most 29 year olds truly have no idea what good music is.. Going to pass this on to my kids as well.
Do it, Ronin!
Awesome, my daughter says same thing, her friends are like " what are you listening to ? That's awesome" and she tells em it's 50 yrs old lol
VERY COOL!!
im 15 most people just dont understand good music
Im 23. My dad was 53. I lost him in april. I try to relive the good times.
I adore this band. They own my heart.
Man how I wish more people my age listen to this, I’m only 17 and I know my parents raised me well to listen to good music!
So nice!!! Good for u!!!
No but same 🤘
Great to hear a person of your age say that, Ash. I'm 70 and to me the 80's Era of rock music was the greatest. I wish more people of your age felt like you do. Rock on, Ash!
Haha me too! I’m 17 and this is one of my dad’s favorite bands and now it’s mine lol
Funny I believe Ric Allen was only 17 when they recorded this as well.
I just saw at petco park where you rocked the house. My name is Sandra Running I’m 64 years young and live in San Diego, Ca. I’ve have been a number 1 fan since the 70’s & 80’s. Bringing on the heart break was on of very first jams I listened to over and over. I have had the pleasure of seeing you three times in concert but your 2024 petco park concert was by far all time favorite. You filled me with extreme happiness and joy. I love, admire and adore the whole group. Please keep rocking us from now until the end of time. Thanks for rocking my life for so many years 🎼🎸🎸🎸🎤🥁♥️♥️😘🥰😍
Finally Def Leppard is in Rock n Roll Hall of Fame !! Grats to Pete Willis too as been inducted as full member to the Hall
Didn't know that Pete Willis was inducted too. cool
richard montano yeah ! Honestly i prefer Pete inducted than Vivian . Cuz Pete got more hits than Vivian with Leppard lol . Plus hes the one that recruit Joe Elliott
HELLO???!!! IT'S OBVIOUS THAT PETE WILLIS SHOULD BE INDUCTED BECAUSE HE WAS A HUGE PART OF DEF LEPPARD!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! 🙆❤❤❤🎸🎸🎸 LOVE DEF LEPPARD FAN MICHELLE
@@izzystradlin7794 Pete founded the fucking band..... lol. He recruited everyone. And wrote many of the songs on the first 3 records. Including Photograph. It would have been a slap in the face not to.
I'M IN LOVE WITH PETE! ❤
Oh God, my teenage years (I'm 52 now) were some of the most amazing years of my life! We weren't able to just call anyone, anytime from your cell phone. No texting or internet.
Well, we had house phones too
Unbelievable solo work by Steve Clark. He is so missed.
I don't know why people get upset when I call Def Leppard Pop Metal, it's not a bad thing, they just are!
2023. This classic will always be one of the best rock songs of the 80's. 🤘
THE GROUP HAS HAD MANY TRAGEDYS, BUT NEVER STOPPED THEM.. THEY KEPT GOING.. VIVIAN CAMPBELL MADE A VIDEO ABOUT HIS CANCER.. I HAD SAME SYMPTOMS.. YEP, HIS VIDEO SAVED MY LIFE.. THANK YOU VIVIAN.. YOU'LL BE IN MY HEART ALWAYS.. THIS GROUP IS MOST SENT BY GOD.. THEY WILL NEVER GIVE UP.. LOVE YOU ALL..
80;s in my comfort zone, i love it and I love Def Leppard
When you had to have the ability to truly sing and have great talent! So happy I spent my teenaged years listening to this kind of music! Still listening!
Another masterpiece from the Def Leppard.🎸🌹💐❤️💖🎸🌹💐❤️💖🎸🌹💐❤️💖🎸🌹💐❤️💖🎸🌹💐❤️💖🎸🌹💐❤️💖🎸🌹💐❤️💖
So many painful memories of my teenage years encapsulated in this song! About to be 52 and sometimes it stop cuts deep!
