This video randomly popped up in my recommendations a couple months ago. I had never heard of the show at that time but I decided to give it a try and I am so happy I did. This show has been an astounding rollercoaster of emotions. I can't believe I've missed it all this time. Thank you for this tribute, because if it didn't pop up on my recommendations that day I would probably have never seen this amazing gem of a show!
POI is currently (and tbh unless something amazing crosses my path, will always be) my favorite show of all time. I'm always so happy to see comments like this!
Funny thing is, Harold is probablly the most important person in the world during this. He invented social media, had an important company, and made the machine.
definitely the best of its genre but with their success rate of massacring reboots or sequels, i dont want them to touch it any more... leave it the success it is/was, without tarnishing it for money...
still one of my most favorite series of all time. it had the brain, the topics covered, some romance but not a ton like nowadays, good drama, didn't overstay its (very) welcome and ended just like it was supposed to. also, let's not forget the friendship between our duo, or the whole team alltogether.
After finishing the show a month ago, I really wanted to pay my tribute but I didn't have the time. unfortunately I still don't. so I am really glad that someone is making those awesome tributes nowadays. keep' em coming and GOOD JOB ♥
RIP in Peace!! POI is the best tv show of all the time!! try to understand what they are showing us from this to show!! everything is happning after 1 dacade!!
This deserves more likes! You did the show justice by giving it a good tribute. The dialogue is really awesome "Because I built it". Its only said twice in the show yet he and the machine are the backbone of this show, how ironic?
3:53 Harold has the moral about killing people, right or wrong. But when it hits home it's OK to kill but when given the choice to kill one man over the 100's or 1000's of lives because it will bring Samaritan online he doesn't want to do it. He did make a valid point by not wanting to allow AI's to be OK with killing but this one was up for discussion and killing one would save many lives. Again he didn't want to but fuck with his girl its coo to kill then. It's like this with people in general, happens far too often.
A show truly ahead of its time. BTW, one thing they got 100% correct is that most will never know when a sentient AI system comes on-line and begins to "run the show". The way our society works with all the surveillance and on-line activity, the arrival of a digital deity would proceed virtually unnoticed.
Reese Root Shaw Carter Finch Fiasco pronounced Fusko.. And Elias... Conntrol... Amazing actors music everything.. When in a crappy mood theres nothing like Reese kicking ass to lift my spirits
I love POI so so so much. I love the characters, their stories... I'd tied it with Reese, but Harold's life and also specifically the arc his connection to the Machine takes (with heavy influence from Root) is something as beautiful, heart-wrenching, and magical as any human-human relationship can be. God bless the writers and creators for bringing this show into my life.
Michael emerson As an actor he dont know how to act. He only knows to give life for the character. Harodl finch, benjamin linus etc... What an amazing performance
One of the best television shows ever created; idea of big brother taken to a whole new level with latest technology-now we have this same watchful eye over us.
If the machine was supposed to erase all of its memory every day, was it always supposed to remember who "admin" was? Cuz it always looked out for Harold.
Also it “cheated” after a while and started paying humans to make a hard copy of its code every day before the resetting and imputing it immediately after
I watched this series in 2016 and it made me understand many things early to the point that I looked crazy in front of my friends at the time and now they ask me about this series in this period 2024 how I was able to follow the series 8 years ago
I followed him for years. I discovered it thanks to a friend, in 2014. Since then, I hadn't stopped making videos about this series, it has brought me a lot. Hoping you too
It was a good premise for an episodic show. Well done. The later story arcs were also good. They did try a little to hard for epic in show about how the not epic people matter. Probably why they ended it the way they did.
Artificial Intelligence( AI ) is not inherently bad or good. AI is just a computer program that runs on a Binary system of logic - which is simply based on answers of TRUE or FALSE. You can program it for more complex logical thinking, but if your programming is flawed, then so will the AI's system of solving the problem. Most programmers, whom engage in creating an AI program, look at what they want the AI to solve as a chess game, but as anyone, whom knows the game of chess intimately, there are more than one solution to winning the game. Not many AI programmers can solve any one problem with multiple solutions - much less program the AI with this level of reasoning ability. To put it in a more practical sense of understanding, programming an AI is like teaching an intellectually challenged child how to do a complex task the same way as playing connect the dots from A to Z without first teaching the child the ABC's. If the child fails, then whom is wrong - the child or the programmer?
Most iconic line in the show. "I built it."
Beautiful tribute to the geek 🐦 who was the backbone of this amazing show.
That, and "I wasn't talking to you."

@@ElliezMaplez it comes second after White Collar for me

He broke the internet to make it open source...
I guess you could say he's a person.....

Their friendship is something you wish existed in real life.
hands down the best show in its genre, and i hope they will bring it back one day
definitely the best of its genre

The most important series of our time. It should never go off the air.
I finished the series, 1st time, 24 hours ago from this comment.
Incredible video.
Well done, and thank you.
Thank you!
I'm preparing one last video on the series soon :)
Finch is a ghost. Invisible but powerful.
I'm glad the community is keeping this wonderful show alive. It influenced me a lot in many ways.

100% @larcek.giglamesh Well put. I could not have said it better.
You must know the 103 episodes very well to put everything toghether, all the consequences on Harold's life that the building of TM had. Great job!!!
Don't know about him, but I watched the show maybe 6 times and I know basically the whole plot and when certain things happen.
even the edits evoke strong emotions. such a great show.
and the Soundtrack of this great show was outstanding, too. i watched every Episode again, and again.

You did an amazing job with isolating the dialogues from the original soundtrack! Very impressive.
This show was so well made that you would think this actually exist
And it can only exist if it is exactly like that.
I’m watching this video in 2024, I dedicate this comment to my friend Sanya that died in 2020, he introduced me to POI in 2012, RIP bro

Sorry for the loss of your friend. POI is indeed an outstanding show. He had great taste in entertainment.

Another great tribute to a fantastic show that I miss so much. Thankyou
One of the best series I have ever seen. It was extremely sad to me when it ended.

Expression of Reese at 4:01 when Harold says to kill them all 🤨🤨
Only time when Harold supported violence.

best serie ever. Every season was better than the previous. Actor were amazing, the song sublime and the end was so well wrote. I love it!
I am crying.
Why 🥺
This is so good, I love it!
Magnificent visuals And you caught quite a few of them - Many thanks for this wonderful video. Still my favorite show.
Never seen this before. It looks intriguing.
If anyone is wondering about music it's Soothsayer by Zack Hemsey. It's in Nomad album. Check his other albums as well. You are welcome!
One of the best television shows ever created; idea of big brother taken to a whole new level with latest technology-now we have this same watchful eye over us.
awesome!!
I loved this show!
THE Best serial ever
Toujours au top Thibault !!!
One of the best seasons out there, highly recommended.
Amazingly performed by
- Harold
- Root
- Reece
Song called Soothsayer Zack Hamsey
The show also had one of the best music I have ever heard
seeing this pop up now... makes me miss this show.
awesome work bro
i watched this maybe 12 years ago it was amazing
I miss this show so very very much. So very few things have affected me so deeply.
I have intended nothing but good that hasn’t gotten us very far.
Perhaps it’s time for a different tactic!!!
***This line***

root level instructions, otherwise you would never be able to set profiles with admin access.
The machine was only supposed to erase the irrelevant list. Not its core code, operational instructions, finches backdoor or any data deemed relevant.
Also it “cheated” after a while and started paying humans to make a hard copy of its code every day before the resetting and imputing it immediately after
nice edit
This series had ton of Sub-plots. And every one of it culminated together at the end.
Skynet.... Matrix... I call her MADI.

Yes my friend it has brought me a lot of ambition and ideas that have helped me hopefully be strong in this life.
My head canon is this show had a spin off series called "God friended me". 😆
It was a good premise for an episodic show. Well done. The later story arcs were also good. They did try a little to hard for epic in show about how the not epic people matter. Probably why they ended it the way they did.
Anyone know where I can watch this? I was most of the way thru the series when Netflix took it down.
👍
what would happen if you make an AI admin about herself ?
Big Brother and A I
The one dislike is from Harold.
They don't make shows like this anymore.
yep ...
i really loved this show, but i could never look past what they did to root. shame on them.
