One of 3 of the most underrated shows still streaming or "on the air"...The actor, Jim Caviezel is what HOLLYWOOD SHOULD BE...HE IS WHAT ALL AMERICANS SHOULD STRIVE FOR...DECENT, PRINCIPLED, HUMBLE, PROACTIVE, HONORABLE, SELFLESS AND SMART.
I always knew that John was not going to have a happily ever after. The very thing that made him a primary asset was the same thing that disqualified him from a normal life. He went into the forge and came out a weapon. A weapon's only purpose is to fight, or break under use not rust away somewhere. To have lived at all is the miracle. To have helped others is a gift to the future. To be remembered at all is the highest praise. To have a meaningful, useful death is the greatest reward. That is the way of things when one is a weapon.
In my opinion this was and still is one of the finest television series ever made . I thank its creators for all the gut wrenching moments , the highs and the lows , I am just sad it had to end...Good Bye
No one ever said we'll win but doesn't mean we stop fighting... powerful words... love this tribute... loved this show but hated the way this show ended... well done
Miss this show so much. It is tragic that Reese and Carter didn't get to explore that love they held for each other. I have watched these over and over. Life is not fair. They are together now on the other side. Loved the show and all the characters.
Best television ever filmed. Far too insightful and intelligent to ever survive the mainstream, but just because a flower is beautiful does mean it will endure.
Currently rewatching the entirety of POI for the first time since Season 5 ended, currently on episode 1 of Season 3. 7 years since it started and I still believe POI is one of, if not the greatest show ever made. Amazing storylines, acting and characters (who were superbly cast) this show had it all, even a great ending which I think is rare for most shows. Would’ve been good if S5 had the full 24 episodes instead of 13 but I really think they ended it in the best way they possibly could.
Here a draft of what S5 and S6 should have been : personofinterestdiscussion.com/content/oh-lives-we-could-have-led-what-season-5-and-season-6-should-have-been
Rewatched it entirely and got done with it today...first time after the season wrapped up back in 2016...this series always amazed me a lot for its creativity and intelligence, it always showed us what we would come to know in reality in the near future, and today as i was nearing the end of season 5...it rang a bell in my head...bcoz as episode 8 was coming to an end, the conversation between blackwell and his samaritan lady handler was intresting...the part where she says how ppl after 9/11 gave up their data willingly to feel protected, years later the same process is being used..only this time its gonna be disease instead of terrorism...that was in 2016...its 2020...4 years later the world is being consumed of a virus outbreak...where testing is of utmost importance....Man that's interesting.
@@ruthlessnanu6236 I read a LOT of posts on the PoI YT vids that say the series went off the rails once they made the Samaritan plot like the primary story of the series. I think that THIS was always the plan. What John and Kara went to China to get (that laptop) was essentially the basis of what became Samaritan. But really, the main point of the entire series is that Harold Finch and his creation of the Machine TOGETHER were the firewall against global domination by an AI system like Samaritan. Such AI systems were ALWAYS going to happen...but with Finch's Machine being imbued with his conscience and his ethical decision-making and moral framework, it stood as the last line of defense against the arrival of such domineering and ruthless AI systems like Samaritan. This is why the Machine survives, because it HAS TO, to prevent the rise of future Samaritans ushered in by zealots such as Greer. The WHOLE point of the series is that Finch evolved to understand that his AI system, as utlized, in the form of Northern Lights was too amoral and lacked empathy and regard for human life. Northern Lights ONLY valued threats to national security which effectively devalued threats to individual human lives. This is the so called irrelevants lists that Finch's Machine generated. At first, Finch, fixated on developing a system that would prevent the NEXT 9/11, set aside and functionally discarded the irrelevants. He then later realized, I believe when it dawned on him after that even Grace's name and his partner Nathan, would be an irrelevant to his Machine, that he need to find a way to address the needs of as many of those irrelevants as possible. This is when Finch's Machine is truly born, or rather evolved into the very thing, in fact, the ONLY THING, that could oppose something like Samaritan. Control, Greer, even David Collier would always serve as useful idiot zealots whose beliefs could be warped by a Samaritan type system into manipulating people and events towards domination and eradication of all POTENTIAL opposition. The series was ALWAYS headed to this showdown.
I just finished the series, for the 1st time, 48 hours ago. I was in a different mindset back then and missed the opportunity to see any of them. How wrong I was. Well done on your tribute.
That was a great edit! Just when I thought it couldnt get any better after imagine dragons, you blew me away with the next part. Thank you for making this. Oh and while I'm at this, I'm telling you what I love most about this show. The characters. Each one is different and compelling. They always change and arent boring at all. Fusco got one of the greatest redemption arcs in tv history, its just so good. And even Finch is not perfect. Many series have the lead in the series to be perfect without any flaws. But not Person of Internest. Reese, Finch, Carter, Fusco, Root, Shaw, Elias and even all the enemies were so well written. There will never be another tv series like that. Probably rewatching it every year till I die.
Oh my goodness gracious! I was dreading this so much.....but for the wrong reason! This is a celebration! Celebration of a wonderful show, great cast & crew & amazing fans! Thank you so very very much!
A HUGE like for this clip or tribute. Wish I would have real TV back when it was on, but I have now seen all the episodes over and over again. A huge wonderful high five to all the wonderful actors, writers, directors, EVERYONE. Loved it so much. From a new fan from Alberta, Canada (the hick farm)
Why this show is so underrated 😔😭😭This show deserved much more. And this is the best tribute for poi While watching this video, i can say, you guys definitely gone through all emotions. #POI will always remain in our heart
I am watching POI for the 1st time, one of the greatest TV shows. Interesting, intelligent, heart-warming and clever, emotionally connecting to characters. And it's perfect for the whole family! Finishing S4. Wow. Jim Caviezel so handsome and good, if u boys need a role model he is the one- in this series and in he's actual life.
I've just found this awesome tribute to an awesome show which for some reason I missed other than an odd episode or 2. Thank you I needed this but I'm missing it bad!!! have just finished watching on Blu-ray and I can't believe how fantastic it is and practically perfect. I loved all our heroes but it's John that I had a man crush on 😎.
This is my number one favorite show, dexter a second, haven’t seen GoT, people loved that and Breaking bad which I think was a well written show, but this had a lot of fantastic writing and going back and forth with everyone’s story with the machine as a character her self imo for this generation underrated and best show ever
Total body goosebumps watching this. One of the best most underrated shows on tv. I watch it over and over. Amazing! ❤ I know it’s weird and crazy, I know it’s only a tv show, but I’ve always felt like these guys were my friends, my heroes. They’re the kind of heroes we’re looking for, the kind of heroes we wish we could be. ❤
To Jonathan Nolan and Jim Caviezel. If there was in any way that the two of you could do another TV series together of this magnitude with pretty much the same story line would be or even if Reese hadn't died in a hail of bullets and blown up. Just maybe a continued story line would be up lifting instead of the dark ending.
Wow that was great! Your musical and visual talents are extraordinary and you know the show so well that you put the right scenes and the right lines into that last tribute. Thank you!
Mr. Reese mentioned in the episode with baby Leila that "it would be nice to have a child...Children" If they ever do the sequel to POI, it would be nice to write in that John Reese did have a child. The most likely one would be Holly. And maybe as a much older John Reese that did survive the missile and gun fire on the roof top. Maybe disfigured but Shaw/Fusco or even Harold Finch find out that John did have that child. Holly not knowing John's last name as Reese calls the child John Wylie after what she knew of John. And they save the child. Stay strong John not all things in this world are bad or inevitable, there is still a lot of good that would heal even the coldest hearts. There is always a chance of happiness. Or for the audience to find out that John Reese did survive and that he is now helping with the numbers from say a wheel chair or something along those lines. But the main thing is that he survived. There would have been a lot of bodies up on that roof top and a lot of people that did survive the explosion. Maybe have John Reese take on the identity of a military officer. Maybe even that "International Homeland Securities" he spoke of on the plane to Holly.
What a cast??? The Mastermind... Harold. The Heavy Hitters... Root & Shaw. The Good Cops Carter & Fusco. Bear the Wonder Dog. And... the Angel of Death... Reese. Did Harold teach the Machine how to pick 'em, or what?
Não entendo como essa série não teve divulgação no Brasil, agora que a descobri na reprise da penúltima temporada, uau! Adorei e fala de algo atual , inteligência artificial; e Jin Caviezel Demais
Our beloved Carter went on to do the movie "Hidden Figures" if you get the chance do watch it. It is a good movie and has a history background that is incredible.
Wow! This is the best tribute for this an amazing show! You've done such a beautiful work here. Thank you so much for this masterpiece!

I want to know those 2 too lol

I liked that it ended with The Machine booting back up and waiting for an Admin. Hopefully if they bring it back it'll hold to this original series
How did this show not win buckets full of rewards and rating through the roof.
corruption
