Harold was right to be scared. Shaw had NO conscious. Reese did. He had an on/off switch. Shaw had none. She was more a machine. She had to learn to be human. Which she did. Bear needs to work on his skills of perception....he’s there to guard Finch and protect against bad guys/intruders in the Library. and yet he turned into a sweet, friendly, docile ittle puppy when faced with two of the most dangerous people on earth- Shaw & Root. haha i do love me some Bear!
Dogs are masters of reading body language, and they can literally smell your emotion. They will react to anger or fear, but I think the whole point of Bear reacting this way is to show Shaw is ice-cold. She's not just hiding emotion, she has suppressed it entirely: no accelerated heart rate, no sweating, no surge of adrenaline, nothing at all for the dog to sense threat. She could have gunned Harold down and Bear still likely wouldn't have reacted despite being a professionally-trained military dog.
@@NoJusticeNoPeace Shaw has Reduced Afective Display. She doesn't process or show emotions outwardly the way most people do. This is part of what makes her "Ice Cold". Really? I think the characters were specifically written to deter shipping. They're all incompatible. Finch hates violence, and both Root and Shaw are the amoral violent type.
