Just installed mine, and overall I am impressed. It is faster than the operator it replaced and very quiet. However, the front LED is not functioning and I cannot find bulb replacement information anywhere in their manual. Installation took under an hour, including my pulling the old operator. All told, this seems like a good unit (assuming I can fix the faulty LED). Thanks for the video.
While one could argue, perhaps, that it isn't a flagship across all brands, but it is certainly Chamberlain's flagship opener. As for the plastic case - who cares? Once it is installed, the case material doesn't really matter. I would have liked the better wall mount controller though - that is a nice feature. The wireless outdoor keypad really doesn't matter - they are available separately and for me wasn't useful as my home already has keypad & wifi locks, so there really isn't a need for the one on the garage. Additionally, for $40, I added Siri & Alexa control over my unit (I really wish My Q would add this). The reality is, even at ~$400, it is still a feature-packed unit and Chamerlain's current flagship with 2,000 lumens, battery backup, camera, two remotes, quiet DC motor, belt drive, etc. I purchased mine from Amazon for $302, which replaced a piece-of-junk Overhead Doors Legacy 650 (home builder installed) that the builder charged $500 for (including installation) and it is definitely no flagship product...
I just got one on order from HomeDepot. Was on sale and included a free Wireless video/remote keypad. I am glad it's not a metal housing since this opener will be installed in our second home near the ocean. One item that won't rust out is a good thing in my opinion.
I see exactly what they did and it helps the installlers they put all the missing bells and whistles in their liftmaster brand so if you want the best you have to call an installer now very interesting
You get the error codes on the phone app and the light is really bright, I do agree on the wireless or lack of wireless door opener as I don’t carry my phone while working in yard.I did how ever special order the one like this with the light on both sides but no camera. I’ve had it up now about two weeks and like it as compared to my old chamberlain with the purple learn button, I am a little disappointed I can’t get my old wireless keypad or remotes to sink with this one though.

Why do you need LCD on wall button? I mean, button press equals open/close. Why would I need motion, time and temp there? I could see motion to turn on light if it's dark but I have other ways to make that happen. In the market for new openers. Was looking at this model and the liftmaster jackshaft model with deadbolt. Hello Eric. Great question. The truth is now one needs these features. The standard wall button offered for the Chamberlain motors are good for the basics. Yet, the B6753T is considered Chamberlain's high end/high tech model. And in all of their prior models the LDC display was included. Thus the features they offered were a staple. In fact, someone coming from an older Chamberlain to this model might feel they have lost some of the great things that LCD offered, such as error codes when the sensors fail, an eeror code when the door has excessive weight due to a broken spring, and how many cycles the motor has. That last feature is great when gauging the life of your motor or scheduling for a service. True, the LiftMaster MyQ app will now have some of these features baked into the software but not everyone will have the app installed. Now I believe your last questions was about the 88LM? I'm not aware of an 88LM model.

I made the mistake of buying a Genie 1055 belt drive unit and returned it as the motor hum traveled through my house worse that the old unit. This unit will sit below bedrooms so I am looking for the quietest unit I can find. In your opinion, what is the quietest, dependable unit in the US market? Hello Kevin! Thanks for the question. I responded in depth to your email. But in my professional opinion the Marantec garage door motors are practically stealth machines. They are a tad slower than the competitions but they get the job done.
Great video and thanks for showing the learn button. Doesn't look like this is compatible with my Eufy garage controller. Probably because it has it's own smart features. I'd be interested in a step or 2 down from this opener. I don't want an integrated camera or battery backup. I use Eufy for monitoring and can pull the rope to manually open the door if needed in a power outage. I'm also ok with a simple wired button because not everything needs or should be wireless. I'll see what their other models offer.
Hello. Thank you for your question. Unless the specs to the garage door opener specifically say that it offers an AC motor, every DC opener will offer 600-800 newtons. These openers can handle most garage door needs. Yet I would consider a different option if your garage door is a very heavy custom wood door. Great questions. I have review the prior motors model from Chamberlain and LiftMaster that had camera. The field of view is 140 degrees. Unfortunately the camera is not motorized but it can be moved manually. It offers two way audio and you can get a live feed. For a fee it will also store footage in the cloud for you. If you can do everything by yourself - don't even hesitate to replace them. The MyQ integration kits are not good, you'll hate the actual user experience every time you have to tweak them.
I’m pretty sure that while Chamberlain doesn’t include the display wall switch, the existing 880LMW wall switch is compatible and will add those additional features to this opener.

I have a 12 year old belt drive chamberlain and it's belt decided to start straying apart. (8ft belt) chamberlain covered its lifetime warranty and sent a new one. I just ordered a 1 1/4 hpe motor and hope to get reliable service from it as well. The old opener is starting to make noises and I feel Ive got my money's worth out of it. Hopefully chamberlain doesn't disappoint
The camera offers excellent quality. It's a good image. And it can provide you notifications in real time. Yet if you wanted to store video in the cloud you would have to pay for that subscription.
Hello. I just noticed your post. This sounds like a dud motor. Recently I have had these B6753T come with issues out of the box. I would call Chamberlain support to get help with it or at the very least a warranty replacement.
Hey Santiago, I have a question for you. I just purchased this model and have gotten as far as installing the motor and rail system. I'm in a new build with (conveniently) comes pre-wired for a garage door opener. I noticed the wall control panel has two wire connections. Fortunately the builder just ran a single wire for the wall panel. I have attic access to the garage and can see where the wire goes. Would it be as simple as running the wire that came with the motor into wall box instead of the current one? I was hoping it was a bit easier to get to the down access. That part is behind dry wall, but I figured I could use the current (useless) wire to pull the other one down. I feel like it is as easy as I make it out to be, but would love your opinion on it. Hello! I wonder if they just used a brown bell wire. You should be able to open the plastic sheath to see if you have sufficient wiring to connect your motor. Otherwise you might have to run wiring along your wall.

Thank you so much! Unfortunately we are going thru the same issue here in So Cal. Wayne Dalton is in my backyard but they still have a 10-16 week lead time on all of their doors. What's worse is that some of the orders are showing up incomplete or damage. Thus I would have your dealer installer double, triple, even quadruple check the quality before they turn it over to you for installation. I'm sorry I'm no much more help than that.
I am watching from Australia and I am quite excited that it has a DC motor because better chances of being able to import one and making it work with the local electricity i.e. 220-240V

This has been a step backward for me, I really wanted to like it, but the remote controls that come with it will not work unless I am standing directly under the motor? And forget about training it with the HomeLink, I even purchased the "bridge" thinking the HomeLink on my Tesla Model S was an older version. It consistently fails to work with anything but the Wifi application. The icing on this horrible cake happened today when I arrived home and using MyQ app I received the "Server Error" message. I had to leave my car, go inside my house, to the garage, and open the door with the wired button. It really defeats the reason for having a garage door opener. I purchased this new at Costco, the absolute worst thing I have ever purchased from Costco.

They left some upgrades for the pro side on the 87504 (metal cover, keypad,880lmw,360 leds, 1 piece t rail) I appreciate what they did for us. The only infuriating thing is that they lie about the hp rating. I'd say for retail openers this is a flagship .
Hey Cody! I agree with you about the clear distinction between Chamberlain and LiftMaster Motors. It's good for us pro guys offering a better motor. It's definitely a good retail motor, but the motor cover gets very dusty over time that is gonna be a problem.
I buy in Canada carry it home to Jamaica and come to find out the Jamaica cycle and Canada cycle is different Jamaica use 50 HZ and Canada use 60HZ so it’s not working. Please what can I do. Is not the same one you have there now but it’s a chamberlain

Hello. There are a variety of garage door motors that are quiet, powerful, and reliable. If you don't care about a camera feature or builtin LEDs then Genie should work just fine for your needs. If you care about bells and whistles then Chamberlain is the way to go. If you want the ultimate proline experience, LiftMaster is a solid choice. But now, do you know if your garage door has any special needs like a low head track assembly? Do you have limited overhead space?
@@sosgds no special features that I know of I plan on living in this home for 15 plus years si I want least amount of issue and quiet operation my master bedroom is right over the garage. The current one is a chain drive its about 2 years old and works fine but the noise is very disturbing. I do like led and camera but it's not necessity if it comes with the unit then I'm fine with it and I don't mind spending the extra money as long as I get something that's going to last a long time with the quietest operation. Hello! Thanks for the great question! The B6765T was my favorite retail motor of 2021. It had it all, mainly the older Chamberlain style design. The new B6753T is the newly designed motor. It's a good motor but I preferred the B6765T. The main differences will be the design and the fact that B6765T will fit a one piece G2777 rail easier. Plus the LED are 3000 lumen. They both share the same DC motor, the same camera, and the same overall experience.
Wireless keypads are a pain in the aspen. They're confusing on how to program, and it doesn't take long before you have to reprogram it to work with your opener. I would like to know if it works well with a 16' garage door (2 car garage)?

I totally agree with you. Chamberlain needs more tech in their products. Especially the outside keypad. I wish it had Face ID and a Finger print scanner, so no more cover your left hand over the numbers while you use your right hand to input the garage code. Also, wish the camera was 4K and dome style with PTZ, with motion detection and color night vision. Along with everything else you said in the video, then I would purchase this product.

Hello. That's a very good question. One factor that you want to take into account is your specific garage door wait and the configuration of the track assembly. Additionally you also want to take into account if your door is older and if it's recently been serviced. But once those things are in place my honest opinion is that the Marantec garage door opener motors offer the most quiet travel experience for trolley motors. If you're looking for a wall mount garage door opener motor then you could go with either the genie 6170 or the liftmaster 8500 w. They're both relatively quiet.
I’m ordering a 16x8 double steel insulated garage door. The vendor is trying to sell me an additional lift master. I told him I already have this Chamberlain opener. He advised me against it because my door is heavier and the multi interconnecting rails would fail. Not sure if he is upselling me to go with his single rail lift-master. Is this Chamberlain opener sufficient for my new garage door?
HELLO! Thank you for reaching out. May I ask what brand and model of garage door you are ordering? Will the door be a 2" polyurethane insulation? Do you know if you need a standard 12" track radius? These factors are important but they will not necessarily determine if you should go with LiftMaster. I believe the one piece rail that LiftMaster offers is a benefit. Yet, the pieced rail from Chamberlain will hold up for many years to come. Now you did mention that your garage will be 16 wide by 8 high. That detail is important. The Chamberlain motor will only offer a 7 foot rail within the box. You will need to purchase an 8 foot extension kit from Chamberlain to accommodate for the door height. Thus that would be an extra cost. In fact he could offer a one piece 8 foot rail and install it on your Chamberlain motor. But I recently did a video on how the one piece rail is no longer "perfectly" compatible to the Chamberlain line. You can watch that video here: ruclips.net/video/brM2Law-iPM/видео.html Ultimately, it will be your decision to go with the retail motor vs the pro motor, albeit the missing extension kit to ensure that your pieced rail will work on your 8 foot tall door. If the price is not astronomically more, then it might be worth considering. The truth is, these DC motors on both Chamberlain and LiftMaster are virtually the same. They will sound the same. The will work the same. You can't go wrong with either motor. I hope this helps.

Wow! That is a killer deal. Honestly I believe that Chamberlain motor will do just fine. The contractor is gonna have a hard time beating that deal. I would just charge you in the proper fee for installation and hope that you call back for future service repairs.

Great question! The B6753T is being discontinued. The new high end Chamberlain opener is the B6755T. It's supposed to have better WiFi capabilities from what I understand.
@@sosgds they only provides two slim metal hangers. it was enough for me to cut into vertical hangers for the opener. i have the hanger kits from homedepot. because i have a finished basement. good thing they provide a long enough metal hanger for me to screw into the beam.
I have one step down from this, the B4643T, and it's a piece of junk. Flimsy steel rail instead of aluminum, plastic gears and release, flaky software. Have to purchase subscription to get video. Camera cannot be rotated, it only points straight forward. Install instructions on tension adjustment were way off. It's just not built very well and I don't expect it will last. My old Overhead Door openers were much better built.
Great feedback! The Genie 7155L would be an excellent flagship comparison. The LEDs to this motor are not as bright as the Chamberlain yet it offers a great customer experience. My choice would be to get my hands on an older Chamberlain motor. The B1381 is a great motor.

Newtons is meaningless for all motors because they produce torque and power, not force. All motors are measured in Watts and Newton meters, unless you are in the US in which case it's horsepower and ft.lbs. 745.7 W = 1 horsepower. So if they are claiming 1.25hp it should be a 932 Watt motor. Torque defines how hard it can twist, power tells you how fast under load. Torque curves on electric motors depend on the type and construction. DC motors generally have massive torque at zero speed and fall off as speed increases, because power is a product of torque and speed. Both are important, unless you can wait all day for the door to open. 932W is quite possible in the size of motor used, but they do say equivalent to, so obviously they are being economical with the truth. Anyone with a Voltmeter and an ammeter could find out for sure. Hmm, it doesn't move very fast. Maybe 1/3 hp?

You didn’t mention the battery backup, during power outages the battery will run the door up and down up to 40 times.

Love your videos. I would prefer the LIFTMASTER 87504 for the single piece rail and 360 lighting. Do you have my idea how, as a consumer, I can purchase the 87504? I prefer a diy install. Dealers want $800-$900 for this unit installed.

I have a 12 year old belt drive chamberlain and it's belt decided to start straying apart. (8ft belt) chamberlain covered its lifetime warranty and sent a new one. I just ordered a 1 1/4 hpe motor and hope to get reliable service from it as well. The old opener is starting to make noises and I feel Ive got my money's worth out of it. Hopefully chamberlain doesn't disappoint
How about the camera? How much video can you store? Is a subscription required?
The camera offers excellent quality. It's a good image. And it can provide you notifications in real time. Yet if you wanted to store video in the cloud you would have to pay for that subscription.
The camera doesn't want to connect to my phone on the app. And one of the led lights do not work. Is there anything you can help me with?
Hello. I just noticed your post. This sounds like a dud motor. Recently I have had these B6753T come with issues out of the box. I would call Chamberlain support to get help with it or at the very least a warranty replacement.

I have a question for you. I just purchased this model and have gotten as far as installing the motor and rail system.
I'm in a new build with (conveniently) comes pre-wired for a garage door opener. I noticed the wall control panel has two wire connections. Fortunately the builder just ran a single wire for the wall panel.
I have attic access to the garage and can see where the wire goes. Would it be as simple as running the wire that came with the motor into wall box instead of the current one? I was hoping it was a bit easier to get to the down access. That part is behind dry wall, but I figured I could use the current (useless) wire to pull the other one down. I feel like it is as easy as I make it out to be, but would love your opinion on it.

Hello! I wonder if they just used a brown bell wire. You should be able to open the plastic sheath to see if you have sufficient wiring to connect your motor. Otherwise you might have to run wiring along your wall.
@@sosgds Thank you for that. I am actually trying to have them replace the wire entirely and have the warranty cover it. talked to my neighbor he had a 2-poled wire in there. So they definitely did something different for me.

Thank you so much! Unfortunately we are going thru the same issue here in So Cal. Wayne Dalton is in my backyard but they still have a 10-16 week lead time on all of their doors. What's worse is that some of the orders are showing up incomplete or damage. Thus I would have your dealer installer double, triple, even quadruple check the quality before they turn it over to you for installation. I'm sorry I'm no much more help than that.
I am watching from Australia and I am quite excited that it has a DC motor because better chances of being able to import one and making it work with the local electricity i.e. 220-240V

Hello. I believe the antenna is hidden. This motor has two frequencies that should offer better range.

Hello. It's garage door stand that I get from a local distributor. They don't sell it out of CA.
This has been a step backward for me, I really wanted to like it, but the remote controls that come with it will not work unless I am standing directly under the motor? And forget about training it with the HomeLink, I even purchased the "bridge" thinking the HomeLink on my Tesla Model S was an older version. It consistently fails to work with anything but the Wifi application. The icing on this horrible cake happened today when I arrived home and using MyQ app I received the "Server Error" message. I had to leave my car, go inside my house, to the garage, and open the door with the wired button. It really defeats the reason for having a garage door opener. I purchased this new at Costco, the absolute worst thing I have ever purchased from Costco.

Chamberlain definitely is a little questionable on some things, like with the RJO70 they only give you one single button remote??
They left some upgrades for the pro side on the 87504 (metal cover, keypad,880lmw,360 leds, 1 piece t rail) I appreciate what they did for us. The only infuriating thing is that they lie about the hp rating. I'd say for retail openers this is a flagship .
Hey Cody! I agree with you about the clear distinction between Chamberlain and LiftMaster Motors. It's good for us pro guys offering a better motor. It's definitely a good retail motor, but the motor cover gets very dusty over time that is gonna be a problem.

Hello. There are a variety of garage door motors that are quiet, powerful, and reliable. If you don't care about a camera feature or builtin LEDs then Genie should work just fine for your needs. If you care about bells and whistles then Chamberlain is the way to go. If you want the ultimate proline experience, LiftMaster is a solid choice.
But now, do you know if your garage door has any special needs like a low head track assembly? Do you have limited overhead space?
@@sosgds no special features that I know of I plan on living in this home for 15 plus years si I want least amount of issue and quiet operation my master bedroom is right over the garage. The current one is a chain drive its about 2 years old and works fine but the noise is very disturbing. I do like led and camera but it's not necessity if it comes with the unit then I'm fine with it and I don't mind spending the extra money as long as I get something that's going to last a long time with the quietest operation. Hello! Thanks for the great question! The B6765T was my favorite retail motor of 2021. It had it all, mainly the older Chamberlain style design. The new B6753T is the newly designed motor. It's a good motor but I preferred the B6765T. The main differences will be the design and the fact that B6765T will fit a one piece G2777 rail easier. Plus the LED are 3000 lumen. They both share the same DC motor, the same camera, and the same overall experience.
These retail for $680 here in Canada...I scored 2 for $550 each installation included.

Wireless keypads are a pain in the aspen. They're confusing on how to program, and it doesn't take long before you have to reprogram it to work with your opener. I would like to know if it works well with a 16' garage door (2 car garage)?

I totally agree with you. Chamberlain needs more tech in their products. Especially the outside keypad. I wish it had Face ID and a Finger print scanner, so no more cover your left hand over the numbers while you use your right hand to input the garage code. Also, wish the camera was 4K and dome style with PTZ, with motion detection and color night vision. Along with everything else you said in the video, then I would purchase this product.
Those would be some very killer features.

Hello. That's a very good question. One factor that you want to take into account is your specific garage door wait and the configuration of the track assembly. Additionally you also want to take into account if your door is older and if it's recently been serviced. But once those things are in place my honest opinion is that the Marantec garage door opener motors offer the most quiet travel experience for trolley motors. If you're looking for a wall mount garage door opener motor then you could go with either the genie 6170 or the liftmaster 8500 w. They're both relatively quiet.
I’m ordering a 16x8 double steel insulated garage door. The vendor is trying to sell me an additional lift master. I told him I already have this Chamberlain opener. He advised me against it because my door is heavier and the multi interconnecting rails would fail. Not sure if he is upselling me to go with his single rail lift-master. Is this Chamberlain opener sufficient for my new garage door?
HELLO! Thank you for reaching out. May I ask what brand and model of garage door you are ordering? Will the door be a 2" polyurethane insulation? Do you know if you need a standard 12" track radius?
These factors are important but they will not necessarily determine if you should go with LiftMaster. I believe the one piece rail that LiftMaster offers is a benefit. Yet, the pieced rail from Chamberlain will hold up for many years to come. Now you did mention that your garage will be 16 wide by 8 high. That detail is important. The Chamberlain motor will only offer a 7 foot rail within the box. You will need to purchase an 8 foot extension kit from Chamberlain to accommodate for the door height. Thus that would be an extra cost. In fact he could offer a one piece 8 foot rail and install it on your Chamberlain motor. Ultimately, it will be your decision to go with the retail motor vs the pro motor, albeit the missing extension kit to ensure that your pieced rail will work on your 8 foot tall door. If the price is not astronomically more, then it might be worth considering. The truth is, these DC motors on both Chamberlain and LiftMaster are virtually the same. They will sound the same. The will work the same. You can't go wrong with either motor. I hope this helps.
@@sosgds Thank you so much for your input. I’m aware that I need an extender for my 8 ft garage, but I got the chamberlain on clearance at Home Depot for $100 (insane steal) for brand new. The garage will be steel backed with 2 inch insulation. Its a CHI skyline model with 4 vertical windows.

Honestly I believe that Chamberlain motor will do just fine. The contractor is gonna have a hard time beating that deal. I would just charge you in the proper fee for installation and hope that you call back for future service repairs.

I just bought this and will have a tech install it. I've had my house since 2010 and the garage door opener never worked so we always closed and opened it manually so I decided to go all out and get this. I hope it works out for me because I did pay 451 since I got the 3 year warranty and after my Veteran discount at Lowes!

Hello. Excellent question. Based on my research these motors are only offered in North and South America. The promising thing about this is you might be able to import a 220v version of these motors. Unfortunately I don't have a contact for you on where to buy.

Great question! The B6753T is being discontinued. The new high end Chamberlain opener is the B6755T. It's supposed to have better WiFi capabilities from what I understand.

i have the hanger kits from homedepot. because i have a finished basement. good thing they provide a long enough metal hanger for me to screw into the beam.

I have one step down from this, the B4643T, and it's a piece of junk. Flimsy steel rail instead of aluminum, plastic gears and release, flaky software. Have to purchase subscription to get video. Camera cannot be rotated, it only points straight forward. Install instructions on tension adjustment were way off. It's just not built very well and I don't expect it will last. My old Overhead Door openers were much better built.
You know what, I wouldnt mind because I only paid $269 USD for it.

Great feedback! The Genie 7155L would be an excellent flagship comparison. The LEDs to this motor are not as bright as the Chamberlain yet it offers a great customer experience. My choice would be to get my hands on an older Chamberlain motor. The B1381 is a great motor.

Newtons is meaningless for all motors because they produce torque and power, not force. All motors are measured in Watts and Newton meters, unless you are in the US in which case it's horsepower and ft.lbs. 745.7 W = 1 horsepower. So if they are claiming 1.25hp it should be a 932 Watt motor. Torque defines how hard it can twist, power tells you how fast under load. Torque curves on electric motors depend on the type and construction. DC motors generally have massive torque at zero speed and fall off as speed increases, because power is a product of torque and speed. Both are important, unless you can wait all day for the door to open. 932W is quite possible in the size of motor used, but they do say equivalent to, so obviously they are being economical with the truth. Anyone with a Voltmeter and an ammeter could find out for sure. Hmm, it doesn't move very fast. Maybe 1/3 hp?
