Thanks for the review. I love the B4613T its my best seller. Only glitch i had many call backs on the key pad losing its program code sometimes it just wont program same key pad again so i put in a new one and use that on my next opener and it works just fine . And it is very sensitive to Flourecent lighting and strong wifi waves or too many powerline wires. Remotes work only from short range. It has happened allot more on this model then on any other previous models. Im in California.
Hello Juan! Thanks for the feedback! I too was experiencing something similar. But I was noticing it more on the LiftMaster motors and the keypads that came with them. As of now I haven't had any call back. Hope that doesn't change anytime soon. Thanks for sharing your experience! Y'all stay safe!
A great down to earth review as always! I had a scenario last week involving 2 - B4613. Once installed the remote range you had to stand right underneath the openers for them to work. After about an hour on the phone with tech support The issue got bumped up to a tier 2. Basically the regular tech support didn't have an answer so they had to bump it up to the brains. Ultimately the final solution was sending my client 2 brand new units through the mail. Which takes five to seven business days. From what I gathered from the tech support is that they're possibly could be a receiver issue among this line of openers. I'm sure they will get the stuff dialed in but maybe pushed this out too soon?
Yikes! I didn't get that far in the unboxing. But I wouldn't be surprised if there bugs in the software. At least customer service is handling the issue. If they did rush the release of this motor then it will manifest in a few weeks.
Hey there., i just installed one of these and yes, the remote range is complete garbage! I will be returning to the store as soon as i pick up a better one....unfortunate, cause these are reasonably priced...the local dealers who sell other openers are obviously gonna be more expensive..but i need a opener that works with the remotes..lol...way it goes...
@@garagedoorgenius serious? Id like to take replace with another maybe model up...but im gun shy now... the main reason is homedepots return policy and all tne parts are the same...lol easy swap out..lol
Update... i just returned the 4613tc, purchased a different model and voila it worked great 👍 no issues...so dont buy the 4613tc its a pile of shit... i went with the 4505tc... no battery back up but what ever...
Thanks for the great unboxing and review. I am curious if the B6753T will need a rail extension for a garage door that is 9 feet away from point of the motor installation?
Thanks for the Review! Costco has the B6753T for $279.99. Think I'm going to grab one tomorrow. Last day of the sale. I have an older Chamberlain Whisper Quite on the other door.
Hello! I think you will like the functionality of it. I have installed a couple of the in the field. They are good motors but I was surprised to see how the polycarbonate housing is not great build quality. It surprisingly picks up a lot of dust and finger prints. Aside from that it solid retail motor.
Hello. Excellent question. It can but you want make sure you use a small amount. The proper lubricant should be white lithium grease. But again only apply a very small amount. Hope this helps.
Here’s my case : I had a 2006 chamberlain screw-drive go out this week 12/21 , went to Costco They have the Chamberlain B6753T for $279.99 , I use my old wireless key pad , it paired nicely to the new unit , it took about 1 1/2 hours to install (Self install) it works great the app works great and it paired to both our cars (Porsche , BMW) with no issues. The $279.99 was what sold me as this unit in my area sells for $399 And that would take a bit more consideration but not a deal breaker as it a great unit .
Great review! I think it's pretty absurd that the 6753 doesn't even come with a Smart Control Panel. I'm glad we went with the 1381 and didn't wait for these new models. The only thing I like on these new ones are the new sensors, but I don't like the new design. My personal favourites from the new line are the D2101, and the openers styled like that. The only thing I have to finish up in my garage is install a new outlet, since my 18 gauge ungrounded bedroom extension cord isn't exactly cutting it.
Hello. Sound like you a got a good project going. I am glad they didn't include the LCD multifunction smart control panel. It's just one more feature that makes the pro line easier to offer. Thanks for the feedback!
@@sosgds Yep! I do like the proline, although we got the 1381TC. I prefer the one piece over the pieced but the pieced gets the job done. Our opener is also on a bit of an incline, so we’ll see how it holds up over the years.
Great reviews. How does the B6753T compare to the B6765T? Looks like it's being marketed as a newer version...but the older one comes with the wireless keypad, smart controller and 1k extra lumens. Any concerns about buying the older product? I saw an older review of yours (B6765T) and you seemed to be pretty positive on it.
Hello! Great question. Honestly if you can get your hands on the Chamberlain B6765T go for it. It was one of my favorite garage door motors of 2020. The older Chamberlain motors are made of metal. The new Chamberlain is polycarbonate or hard plastic. And although the motors are similar, the older Chamberlain has a lot of character with the two tone black/blue color. The camera is the same on the new motors and it will be a useful feature. Of course the B6753T was on sale at CostCo for $280 plus tax with is a killer deal if you are member. Hope this helps.
Goodmatter of fact review! thanks! Question: I have a 2 car garage with 22 year old craftsman motors on them. They still run fine but I got oneB6753T from Costco the other day. Any thoughts on whether I can go ahead and change just one of the garage door openers and leave the other craftsman as is? pros & cons of that please
I definitely don't think that Chamberlain has their act together on the website. The base model of the units you're testing (the B4603T) on retailer sites claims to have soft start/stop, but the Chamberlain website says it doesn't. I don't know which is correct. I had ordered this unit, but then realized the full-blown B6753T model was only $43 more on Amazon ($302 vs $259), so it was a no-brainer to change my order to the B6753T (which Chamberline says has the soft start/stop). I looked at the manuals for both, but the manuals don't seem to list the features (I presume so that Chamberlain doesn't have to update the manuals as much). I would like to see better integration with Siri and Alexa. My whole home is all z-wave controlled Alexa devices (all lights, fireplace, door locks, thermostats, etc.) so I ended up ordering a eKyro module (with an adapter) to connect the Chamberlain to my Siri and Alexa controlled smarthome.
The problem with LiftMaster is it’s dealer purchase only. Yes I know there is a affiliate page on Amazon BUT 1. I need all parts in a kit, rail ect. I called companies here in Denver and they won’t sell me a rail and said if I have a problem LiftMaster tech support wont talk to me say camera goes bad or a board. 2. I like the LiftMaster one better but not worth the headache of rounding up parts your Amazon affiliate page doesn’t sell and I understand you can’t send a rail it would be crazy high. With that said I may be forced to by a Chaimberlain.
Hello. Thank you for sharing this feedback. It's a shame. It shouldn't be too difficult to get this great motor. I believe most dealers are looking to do the work also. And with inflation rising I completely understand your goal to do the project yourself.
Former employee here. The camera has to do with the MyQ system and Amazon key. They made a big deal about getting MyQ usage up to pair with Amazon in garage delivery. Internally it’s marketed as watching the delivery driver. They got the usage up, got the partnership, then the owners sold the company just last month. Personally, I think it’s a gimmick. Side note… they switched to plastic because it’s cheaper than the metal, and possibly to sell replacement chassis. I’m in Arizona. When it’s 110 out you have an uninsulated door, garage temps can get brutal. I don’t believe that plastic will stand up to years of that abuse and not crack if you have to open it up. They are dead quiet though. It’s amazing what they’ve done with DC motors. Just my two cents.
Hello Sean! Wow thanks for this great feedback. You know when the camera was first presented in our area they made no mention of the Amazon Key advantage. Most customer are not keen to a camera. One guy told he didn't want a camera so that way his wife didn't know when he came home. 🤔😏😆 Thanks for the feedback!
The differences between the pro and retail are still too similar at the pricing they have in stores vs what they charge dealers for the pro. I like them and like that they simplified the line of products.
Hey Justin! Thanks for the feedback. That's fairly accurate. Some dealers would rather have the customer purchase their own motor and just charge install. I can blame them in this tough economy. But if you know how to add value to what the pro line offers then it just might encourage the customer to make a better choice.
I don't like these new motors. The design on them is just horrible. It does seem like they're giving more reason to buy the LiftMaster over the Chamberlain, which is better for dealers. I d love the new sensors though. By the way, I think the B4613T is supposed to come with a motion detecting console just like the higher end model. I'd have to check their website to be sure, but I think they sent you the wrong panel 😂
Hey Andy! Yeah Chamberlain's website has a lot of inconsistencies. In fact the box had a sticker over the wall button that showed the one that was actually in the box and it covers the wall button that supposedly has a motion sensor. Again Chamberlain doesn't know what they're doing or they're just running out of parts.
Hello. That's a great point. It's possible the video footage could help with insurance claims, investigations, or even community social networks. Thanks for the feedback.
I just picked up a LiftMaster 85503 the other day for Around $400 and much prefer that machine over these. I will say that it is extremely quiet too. I must say after reading the reviews people seem to like these. I will say too I prefer them over anything Genie had to offer. Never really been a fan of genie products.
Hey Sam! Yeah if you can still find them out there I say pick one up. I don't necessarily think LiftMaster still wants to sell them. They've been discontinued here in my area.
Totally Agree. Also if Chamberlain made one with music then it would be a real Party Opener.
You're sittin on a gold mine my friend. That does sound like party!
Costco online sells that B6753TCMRC opener, and they show it with front and back lights, 1.25 HP, video camera and battery backup,
