In this video I am going to show you how to Install Chamberlain Garage Door Opener )Model B6753T). Let me know what you think. 🙂 And DON’T FORGET TO WATCH My How to Lubricate your Garage Door - DIY Video: ruclips.net/video/YD7lm5RvYV4/видео.html Best wishes Vadim
HUGE, HUGE Thanks for making this video, so frigging helpful! For those first-time installers like me, here are a few things to note that the video doesn't mention: 1. Hopefully not for you, but the programming can be a ROYAL PIA. My error was 4-6 (4 up - 6 down in the adjustment arrows on the unit). If your sensors are aligned, meaning the one is solid amber and the other one is solid green, that doesn't mean they're OK. Go back, unalign them to where the LED starts blinking, and realign them again (both LEDs are solid). It took me several hours and a lot of frustration to figure this one out. 2. The garage door opener is not going to automatically work right after plugged in, as the author shows at the end of the video. You have to set your traveling distances to the door. This video from Chamberlain Support was actually very helpful too for that (amongst other things): ruclips.net/video/7Vw7uDecZQQ/видео.html&ab_channel=ChamberlainSupport 3. Unless they are in bad condition, if you can use the wall and garage door supports from your old unit, use them. 4. The Built app is somewhat helpful, but a PIA to use on your phone. Be patient if you plan to use it :p 5. Unlike some old garage door opener units, the hanging brackets that attach to the sides of the unit and are attached to the ceiling, may need to be cut to the edge. In some old garage door openers, the ceiling brackets “run down” the sides. That's because the mounting brackets on the unit are placed right at the edge of the body. With this model, the mounting brackets are further in from the edge. See what I mean here: ruclips.net/video/1IurHq6mC0A/видео.html -- and here: ruclips.net/video/7Vw7uDecZQQ/видео.html 6. The remotes come pre-programmed (phew!). 7. To release the spring as explained here ruclips.net/video/1IurHq6mC0A/видео.html, you will need an adjustable wrench and a flat-head screwdriver, here's a video showing how to do it: ruclips.net/video/7Vw7uDecZQQ/видео.html 8. To lift the tab in the front rail, I found it easier to stick a screwdriver through the small hole and lift. Then with a pair of angle nose pliers, I got it straight. 9. I thought the sprocket in the unit (where the belt turns around) had to be lubricated, but no, it comes pre-lubricated (the author does mention this, lol) so you don't have to get messy :p 10. Here's a link to the manual: cgi.widen.net/view/pdf/4ibaxxmkpa/114-5548-000.pdf Enjoy your installation! =D
I'm always so skeptical when it comes to these how to videos. You did a great job on this one. It's refreshing to see one with good audio, good video, at a good pace with clear details.
So helpful. Excellent! Appreciated the detailed instructions and loved the innovative support tower. Thank you very much. You have given me the confidence to attempt this myself.
Hello and thank you for your help, the video was very helpful and detailed. I had to learn how to program the open and close limiter before the garage door would work but you basically helped me 90% of the way. Thank you again!
Very well done! One of the best I’ve seen. Very detail oriented. I especially liked the non-overwhelmingly loud background music. Only thing better would have been no music. 😀
I'm about to install this very model. I'm glad I saw this because I didn't read the directions yet but only watch Chamberlain's video on how to install a similar model.
Great video! I have already installed one of these in my garage. When you follow the instructions for the height of the rail and the opener the rail will NOT be level. The instructions say that the rail will NOT be level also. The rail will run downhill slightly toward the opener.
Wow very cool Opener i like it. Good job. And i saw the Attic access like you said was in the way i beleive the opener could have beed installed in the center then add a seconf access later on. But syill this opener rocks. I enjoyed watching the installationn.
I don’t understand what was being released when you said, “before release and after release” when installing the belt. Please help me and explain it better.
In the instructions it tells you how to release it with a screwdriver and wrench, but mine is way more than 1 1/4 inch. I’m having a very hard time “tightening” it to the correct size once it’s released.
I installed this same product last night. The essential install was simple. The actual door lift and lower process went fine. The safety sensors set up Much simpler than other doors I’ve worked with. The problem was it wouldn’t work with the main wall switch no matter what. Even touching the wires to close the circuit. 😢 Never figured out the problem. Customer got pissed off and fired me. Paid me 1/2 my fee at least. I’m assuming the devise was defective possibly. I was hoping this video included the trim and programming details to possibly see if I missed something
@InThisTogether the funny part was his previous garage door opener worked fine, he just wanted the WiFi and camera application this silly new devise had. So IF he can get it up and running, I guess the camera will assure him his car isn’t still in the garage I guess. Almost as absurd as having an app for the fridge to let you know whatever it’s supposed to inform the owners of while they are at work or shopping. As an appliance repairman, I know this is truly a desirable feature because they break and someone has to get paid to fix them. Personally I have zero interest in such repairs, but I. Sure LG and Samsung are ecstatic that new appliances cost as much to repair as buying a replacement instead of getting them repaired. The down side is that while I know how to repair my own things, I just hoped that buying higher quality meant I did need to for perhaps longer than warranties etc.
One thing I will mention with installing this garage door opener is NOT to adjust the UP door position with the adjustment buttons higher than what the garage door normally goes when you put the door up manually with your hands since it can make the steel braided cable come off the drum (pulley) Mine had a couple of revolutions of cable come off the drum while the door was in the up position and I read that is what can cause that. I was able to put it back on though just turning the steel rod with my bare hands while the door was in the up position since it appeared to have very little tension left in the up position. Seems to be ok for now.......
I did the same thing you did installing the opener, but for some reason when I press the button to close it, lights just blink . What do you think I’m doing wrong?
I installed this opener today watching this video, problem I’m having is when the door opens the rod starts to bend and I’m scared it will snap. It hasn’t snapped but u can see the force. Any suggestions?
the place you put your opener is going to pull out of the door because there is no support behind that bracket, you can tell because there’s no hinges below it. i suggest moving it back before you get problems
have a unique situation, I know everyone’s is unique. But really this one is. The front of my garage sticks out 2 feet from the house. On top of that inside the garage there is a support from the house that goes through the garage that will not allow the door lifting chain rail puller to go all the way to the front above the door. Any ideas. Would like to try and do this myself. I believe would need a bar about 2 feet long from the door to the motor drive chain rail. Any ideas?
Can the keypad outside of garage from liftmaster be use with this unit ? Does any wire need to go in the unit for it and if yes . Where ? Where the red white go or somewhere else ?
I've everything installed and the LED (green and amber) on the Protector Sensors are solid. When I pressed the button on the wall or the remote control to optn the garage, the Chambberlain's LED blinked twice and didn't do anything. Any idea?
1. By hand, thread the spring trolley nut on the threaded shaft until it is finger tight against the trolley. Do not use any tools. Remove the screwdriver. 2. Insert a flathead screwdriver tip into one of the nut ring slots and brace it firmly against the trolley. 3. Tighten the spring trolley with an adjustable wrench or a 7/16″ open end wrench about a quarter turn until until the spring releases and snaps the nut ring against the trolley. This sets the spring optimum belt tension.
It's just like a doorbell camera. When the door is used it takes video. This way if the door is opened and you aren't the one opening it you can see who/what opened it.
It doesn't come with installation instructions. Just instructions on how to program the wifi and bells and whistles. But as fsr as installing youre on your own

This door opener is on clearance now and your video gave me the confidence to go ahead and replace my loud chain open with this thanks for the video.
Glad I could help!
That’s the most genius support for the motor I’ve ever seen.

How do you release the spring??
Not understanding what you mean by spring and release, not released. Thank you this video is a great help.

Thanks for the diy instructions

My directions say DO NOT PUT THE RAIL LEVEL it should actually slope downward away from the door. Still, A great video. Thanks!

I don’t understand what was being released when you said, “before release and after release” when installing the belt. Please help me and explain it better.
it's that little spring. It's 1 inch before release. It becomes 1.1/4 inch AFTER you released it.
I don’t get it wither
How do you release it? Thats the problem.
In the instructions it tells you how to release it with a screwdriver and wrench, but mine is way more than 1 1/4 inch. I’m having a very hard time “tightening” it to the correct size once it’s released.
You gotta read the actual instructions for this step… this video isn’t a step by step installation… google the instructions if you lost them
I install these EVERY day.. You do it the hard way bro. It’s so much easier and quicker.
This is DIY installation...
what is the easier and quicker way?
I installed this same product last night. The essential install was simple. The actual door lift and lower process went fine.
The safety sensors set up

When you make an instructional video, the orientation of the parts being assembled would be a great step to add in the future. Just saying.
Honestly I’ve been trying to release the spring for over an our now 😂
Thank you and for being so detailed..
Glad it was helpful!

Great Video, Im curious if there is a beep function? I saw other videos where the garage opener had a beeping noise when opening and closing!
don't know about that. try to contact chamberlain customer service for that
You can use remote program and very easy too.

I can't answer that question.
yep same company.
Great video, love the complete details! Was the rail the same length as the one you replaced?
Thanks! Yes, it was
@@CreativeProcessDIY I bought this garage door opener and tried to install it but realized I had an 8 foot garage door will it not work?
thanks
thanks for watching!
How to program keypad outside of garage with this. Which wire goes where for that. ?
I can't answer this question.
The outside keypad is wireless.
About how long does installation take?
3-4 hours
I know is this a bit late, but the Garage door is not suppose to be level according to instructions.. or does it not matter ..
i wish they include hanger kit.
they do include it. I just decided to use the old one because the metal is thicker
I've everything installed and the LED (green and amber) on the Protector Sensors are solid. When I pressed the button on the wall or the remote control to optn the garage, the Chambberlain's LED blinked twice and didn't do anything. Any idea?
I have the same problem, help anybody? Thanks.
@InThisTogether I had to call tech support and they guided me through the process. They were very helpful
Try to contact customer service
is it possible to swap the square rail with a liftmaster T-rail
not sure
@InThisTogether you can. you just gotta change the location of the stopper bolt so it doesnt obstruct the pathway doing so clears the area
Hi I followed all ur instructions but one of sensor is orange and one is green and door is not getting opened
How long is the rail? 8’ or 10’
I do not know. Read chamberlain description of the product. It should provide you such details.
What do u mean for the coil before and after release? @ 5:20
