    I had mine installed a couple of days ago. My wife and I love it! The lights are excellent. For those who dislike the camera, just keep it tucked into the unit. I too have other cameras around my house, but what can having one more hurt. The opener is extremely quiet. I’m fine with all the cardboard used. I assume it’s to keep the unit safe during shipping. Let’s just recycle ♻️ and reuse it.

    There are many different opinions on this motor. I love the 360 Light, MyQ, Key, Belt, T-Rail, and Camera. The color would definitely blend in with a lot of things including my walls and trim in my garage. It would’ve been a better idea to use all metal with this unit. I find this unit a lot louder than others on the market today. Speaking of noise, I really liked the level of sound on the 8355. I would’ve kept that on the market plus the addition of the 86504. That would’ve allowed customers to buy a cheaper motor if they don’t want all of the special features of the 87504. I wish this sounded like the 8355. I already have other cameras around my house including in the garage, so I wouldn’t pay for another camera subscription with LiftMaster. I would probably only use the attached camera when receiving deliveries. There are many good things that I like LiftMaster is doing to keep them at the top of the garage door industry, but my only main concern with this is the noise. Looking at your review of this operator, and others as well, I might have to figure out a way to keep that plastic flush with the unit itself when I purchase these for my doors, because it seems to make a huge difference, but still seems a bit louder than the 8355. I also really liked the front to back orientation of the 8355, but the way they designed this just makes the side to side look very cool. For some reason, I just don’t think this operator is meant for a 16x7. Anything heavier than an 8x7, just makes the motor sound absolutely terrible. When there’s a lot of weight it has to pull, it just makes a weird whining noise. Thanks as always for a Great review, and I cannot wait to see what these bring when I install them on my two 8x7’s.

    I definitely prefer Chaimberlain's front-to-back light orientation over the Liftmaster in my 1-car garage that's longer than it is wide. For colors of the body itself, I'd prefer a medium silver over any other color. Why? It will show dust less than any other color.

      @@miked7766 Hello. Sorry for the confusion. I was actually addressing Sam's comment about the 841LM. This was the automatic garage door lock that was implemented on the older LiftMaster motors. But that lock was plagued with a number of quality issues. Thus the new motor or the new line of motors from LiftMaster no longer will include the connector for that automatic door lock.
      As for the quality between the 85503 and the 87504 ... Well I do miss a number of things of the older model, such as the color of the housing and a slightly quieter motor. But they're overall experience and reliability is the same. You won't be disappointed with either choice.

    Is the rail on the LiftMaster 87504-267 made of metal or plastic? I would like to see a review comparing this Liftmaster model compared to the Linear LDCO863B . • @sosgds
      @sosgds  7 месяцев назад +1

      Great question! I can definitely work up a comparison review on these two motors. But to answer your main question, the rail assembly to the 87504 the G2777 is a steel metal rail. Now the Rail to the Linear openers are also metal but the trolley carriage is made of hard plastic. The LiftMaster rails are very durable. The Linear rails are good yet I have seen a few failures to the trolley carriage. Yet these failures are associated or caused by the garage door.

    • @jmb00drg
      @jmb00drg 7 месяцев назад

      @@sosgds Thank you so much for your reply. If you were to do a comparison review, when would you anticipate this may occur? I am torn between these two models as there are features I like about both. The Linear model has a brighter light and seems like it may be quieter; the battery looks harder to remove and replace; the trolley is plastic. Regarding the Liftmaster I do not need the camera which is one of its top features and from the reviews it sounds like it is noisier. The rail is very durable and the battery looks easier to remove. Durability, reliability, quiet, lighting and ease of battery replacement are key considerations. We are looking for an overhead mounting system. Given these considerations are there any strong reasons to prefer one to the other? Your reviews are great, honest and clearly set out. They are really helpful in making informed decisions.

    You need to know LiftMaster does not connect to 95% of vehicles in North America.
    If you own anything other than Mercedes-Benz, Tesla or Mitsubishi you will need to purchase old-school remotes that clip onto your sun visor. I suggest you store these remotes out of view or security reasons.
    Yeah, I know you can open/close your door with the MyQ phone app, but I do not drive around, like a loser, with my phone in my hand. (My phone is kept in my pocket.)
