Extremely quiet. Nice features. Still trying to figure out how to connect camera to wifi. But the light is bright and opening and closing is quiet
exactly my experience!
I believe the camera connects to the same wifi you set up in the MyQ app for the door opener. Set up the app first and the camera should work through that same connection.

What does it cost?
The title says is it worth the upgrade. Watched the video and never got any idea if it is worth the upgrade. Is it?

Of course, whether or not upgrading is worth it depends on the individual needs; our overall message was that there are definite advantages to upgrading but ultimately, the decision is up to you.
If you connect up the MyQ app, do the other remotes still work or are you forced to use a phone?
MyQ is an additional feature, so all of your remotes would still work as usual. :)
@@all-security-equipment Thanks. I saw some comments stating that certain GDO models force you to use *only* the app when MyQ is enabled.
@@JM.TheComposer MyQ and the remotes are two different and complimentary systems, they work together and you do not have to chose either or.
Our backup battery is beeping (low or dead) only 1.5 years after installation. The outlet did not trip and has power. Expensive to replace every 1.5 years if this is a pattern. No power loss ever where we live. How do I access the battery. I’m not paying to have someone do this after dropping a ton to purchase and install.

"...mandatory in California"! Ha ha, that makes me laugh. True that! I lived in California for 15 years, got out last year. The last 3 years I was without power for 2-3 weeks total, per year, every year. Good to know California is planning for their failures, instead of... failing to plan... I guess...

This unit does a lot of good things, but ....
You need to know LiftMaster does not connect to 95% of vehicles in North America.
If you own anything other than Mercedes-Benz, Tesla or Mitsubishi you will need to purchase old-school remotes that clip onto your sun visor. I suggest you store these remotes out of view or security reasons.
Yeah, I know you can open/close your door with the MyQ phone app, but I do not drive around, like a loser, with my phone in my hand. (My phone is kept in my pocket.)
Edit: The camera is pretty much a gimmick to push you to subscribe to LiftMaster cloud storage. They should have included a SD slot where video files can be retrieved at the owners convenience, like any $50 WI-FI camera.

Yes, they made it so much easier to replace in this unit! Simply open the right side door and slide battery out, unplug battery… plug new battery in and slide it in.. close door and done!
The title of this video says "review". A review, in case you did not know, is a publication of a critical appraisal, formal assessment, evaluation or examination of something. Explaining the features or what a product can or can not do without saying what was good, bad, or needs improvement is not a review.
Garbage! Any device that BEEPS at you every 30 seconds when the battery dies, is poorly designed. Nothing like having the family wake up at 3am because the GARAGE DOOR opener battery is dead...
