      Thanks for the support. And yes, David knows his stuff. Not just a salesman. He went out and welded on some additional parts (and painted up like new) for me because his guys were busy. He didn't want me to have to come back later. He's the real deal.

    I have the 2020 2515H, Rear hydraulic remotes were an option. I had them added later.
    I'm at 550 hours of heavy work. I dug most of a 1/3 acre surface, 4 acre ft pond with it.
    Overall a very good machine. Any issues were due to my making errors.... except a routing issue with the throttle cable to the hydrostatic pedals. The factory routing resulted in binding and breaks the cable. They gave me a new cable. I put it in and zip-tied to alter routing and prevent the issue. Should solve the problem for many years.
    The mechanic is showing under the hood and not using the hydraulic cylinder blocks that are mounted to the loader stand. Pull a pin and place the block on the ram so the loader CAN'T come down via leakdown.
    I find these blocks to be a little shorter than they should be, but they are much safer than relying on the joystick lock.
    Use the blocks or cut C channel a bit longer. The life you save might be your own.
    You can get the oil dipstick without opening the hood.
    The water bowl for the fuel has a drain... I've only opened that to ensure it will drain every 100 hr drip a bit of fuel out. If you are getting water in your fuel, get your fuel somewhere else or you have a problem with your on site delivery fuel tank. You should never get water in the fuel if getting it by the 5 gallon jug at the gas station.
    Your loader will pick the back of the tractor off the ground with fluid fill tires + brush hog + 400 lb of concrete bags on the back of the loader.
    You won't get to the lift limit of the loader.
    Backdragging improperly is the #1 reason people bend the loader or loader hydraulic rams.

    I have been interested in buying a new tractor for a few years now. I was going to get either a Massey Ferguson or a Kubota compact tractor. My friend bought a TYM T25 and loves that tractor. I thought i better do my due diligence and check out TYM.
    Compared to the Massey 1825e, the ease of ingress and egress for the TYM 2515H is amazing. The step through, the seat adjustment and lumbar support are fantastic.
    The Kubota L series is a much smaller frame compared to the TYM 2515H. And the Kubota is more pricey.
    Big selling point for me is metal hood, metal fenders, ease of maintenance and fuel addition. Plus, this tractor is built like a tank for how robust it is.
    Getting one this week.

    I love my 5220c. 48hp, factory cab (same as the one next to yours) perfect for my hobby farm and blowing snow in the Canadian winter.
    It's not the 300hp JD we have on the family cattle ranch, but for home, it's incredible. The lack of electronics is what drew me in to Branson.

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects  Год назад +1

      Nice. Sounds awesome. I originally had wanted 37hp, but couldn't find one used or new within my budget. Plus, needed something light weight enough that I could tow with my car hauler trailer, and small enough to maneuver in the woods, with enough lifting capacity for moving logs.
      The 300hp John Deere sounds like a serious farm tractor to me. Nice! Thanks for sharing your comments and for watching. Much appreciate it. Keep watching and commenting.

    Dealer told me to turn the key to on three time to heat up the glow plug. Since this practice may induce early failure will start from normal start when the indicator goes out.

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects  2 года назад

      Interesting. I've been told by several people that the black smoke is normal, especially for a diesel without the regen cycler. I just watch for the glow plug light to go out and then starts every time, no matter how cold. Not sure if I want to add 3x the ware & tare on my ignition system to avoid a little black smoke at start-up. I'll keep that in mind though and try it sometime to see if it works. Thanks again for your comments and follow-up response. Much appreciated.

  • @richardgorton2498
    @richardgorton2498 2 года назад +2

    Nicely done on the walk around. On this model, 2515H is it necessary to turn the key to on 3x before starting? Less black smoke at start up - is that normal? Good tractor. Will be fitting a Landpride quik hitch and Worksaver 60" box blade to clear an easement for trenching.

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects  2 года назад +1

      Not sure what you meant Richard about 3x key turns and black smoke. But the quick hitch and box blade sounds great. Let me know how you like the quick hitch. Hope your project goes well. Thanks for your comments and for watching.

    I also bought a 2515H from Lake Anna Tractor. What a nightmare! One excuse after another on delivery, and over 6 months trying to get insurance work done on it. Owner is unresponsive and can't keep his stories straight. Final price of my 2515H with accessories was not much cheaper than a JD 3025 similarly equipped. Wish I had gone green just because of the dealer.
    The Branson itself is a decent enough tractor in low range. With the FEL and boxblade mounted, it won't go up a 6% grade in high or midrange.
    The biggest issue I have is the lack of availability of service manuals or parts catalogs. Buying parts from the dealer is an expensive proposition.
    An overarching problem is the dealer network. When Lake Anna Tractor tanks, or drops Branson, the next closest dealer is 157 miles away.

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects  2 года назад

      Sorry to hear you've had such troubles. I totally agree with you about lacking power in mid to high range. I find myself having to switch down to low range more than I expected to get up an incline. I was so focused on stable lifting capacity, when doing my research, which requires more weight, that I didn't think about the trade-off. More weight is good for not tipping over, but also means more power is needed to move all that weight around. I'm getting used to it though and still feel it's worth being able to lift heavier stuff. I have the UTV for running around quickly and climbing hills. More power is always better, but also more expensive when it comes to tractors so this was a good value for me.
      Hope you get everything sorted out. Thanks for watching.

    Thanks for the vedio. Nice tractor. My tractor has the hydrostatic transmission and when I go down even the smallest incline it jumps in and out of gear. Does yours do that? It goes up an incline with no problems.

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects  2 года назад

      I have hydrostatic transmission as well, but no issues with jumping in or out of gear. I do notice when in mid range gear, on an incline, I either have to manually push my throttle up, or if I'm carrying too much of a load, I have to stop and shift into low. I figured that's to be expected of only 25hp. I'm already amazed at what I can do with that small of an engine.
      Thanks for your comments and for watching .

    Could you tell me what aftermarket 3rd function you got installed in on the front? Is there a model or serial number or something? I'm wanting to install one on my 2515H, but would prefer not to do the Branson bypass one. Thanks!

      WR Long 3rd function kit. You can find a dealer near you by going here: www.wrlonginc.com/dealerlocator
      I'll have to take a close look next time I use it to see if there is a model # on it. I won't have my root grapple for another 4+ months, but I'll be sure to share how well this 3rd function works once I get to use it.

    Called this dealer yesterday and they quoted me 23500$ for the 2515h which is almost 4000$ more than they are listed online at other dealers for hopefully you got a better price than they told me over the phone I was ready to make the 1 1/2 hour drive to the dealer before he told me the price looks like I will settle for a bobcat 2025 hst for 2000$ dollars less

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects  2 года назад

      Thanks for sharing. Yes, I got a much better price, but inflation has made everything go through the roof in the last 8 months. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but glad you didn't waste your time driving out there only to be frustrated.
      I originally was trying to buy a skid steer, but just couldn't even find a 10yr old one for less money than brand new Branson, so I went that route. And my truck and trailer aren't rated for more than 5K load, so I could only haul a small skid steer, which didn't have the lift capacity I wanted. Hope the skid steer is perfect for your needs. Let me know how it works out.

    So what is the difference between the branson 2515h, and the Tym 2515h 🤔

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects  Год назад +1

      That's a great question. When I bought the Branson, TYM had just purchased them. I think starting 2023, they are now one in the same, meaning the Branson line is now called TYM. I say that because the Branson website now directs me to TYM site.
      Thanks for your question and for watching.

    What year model is this? I'm trying to decide on a tractor and I like the weight and capacities of branson. Seems like they improve the weaknesses each year.
    Thank you.

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects  2 года назад +1

      I'm going to say it's a 2022. I ordered in Dec 2021 and received it in Jan 2022. Not sure exactly how tractor model years work, if they are like car model years or not, but I do know that the brand new 2021 model I test drove in Dec didn't have a one of new things that mine does. I just checked all my paperwork and can't find a model year anywhere on it, which struck me as strange. But I do know this thing was fresh off the boat. I doubt you can find 2018 or newer used 2515h for sale, unless it has been abused with a lot of hours on it. As you also said, they keep making improvements to things as they hear back from customers. So be prepared for a wait when you order one. I was super lucky that I received mine in about 30 days.
      Good luck. Hope this help you figure out what you want to do. Thanks for your comments and for watching.

      @@twc-projects i was lucky enough to buy mine right off the lot (5220). It's the best small tractor ive ever used (I've been driving tractors since I was a child, my family owns a 3500 acre cattle ranch). It's not what I use on the ranch, but on my 120 acre hobby farm, its the perfect tractor.

    I love everything about the branson tractor s except one thing that is major to me. The loader valve and hydraulic coupler location is absolutely horrible. If they offer a fender mounted joystick with the couplers down under the floorboard, I'd be sold. Otherwise I'm still strongly considering a kioti

    • @twc-projects
      @twc-projects  Год назад +1

      I've heard others say the same thing, it totally makes sense. I've only known this setup, so I guess I just got used to it and don't mind it. I think the rational was for ease of removing the whole loader setup.
      Regardless, thanks for your comments and for watching.
