The Tractor yard has a special offer going right now for my viewers. You can get this TYM 574 cab Tractor for $34,500 with one dollar per mile shipping anywhere in continental United States. 9184864464 www.thetractoryard.com Here is the Kukje engine video I referenced in my video ruclips.net/video/pLgTFXknP3o/видео.htmlsi=KZ01uSbO4gJm9wHG
Your logic and reasoning makes perfect sense. Best price, highest lift capacity, and mechanical fuel injection. Looks like a no-brainer. That dealer is offering a great deal.
You can't beat TYM! So much quality tractor for the money. I bought my 474 this winter and it's great. Tons of features and their customer service has been really good. And you are 100% correct on their engine! Good choice of tractor and congrats!
TYM price point is a big plus, but it does come to mind an old saying, the cheapest is NOT always the least expensive. For example, resale.....a 5 yr. old JD or Kubota will still bring 45-50k, if it is well maintained. A concern with the TYM is all the components, A/C compressor & system, hyd. pump, transmission, etc. , have they cut corners to get the price down?
I think you are the only person that has tried the brands, pointed out the likes n dislikes and can spit out all this comparison knowledge. Thats awesome. TYM is definitely on my list but they’re also the farthest away. Yanmar and Kioti are my other 2 to look at before buying. Thanks Brock
We are using ours ALLLLLL the time and I have had NO PROBLEMS. We got the tires loaded with Rim Guard and it made it so much more stable on slopes and better for hauling hay!
@@RockhillfarmYT We agree. No worries about it near my critters and makes the tractor SOOOOO much more comfy for me! The Stereo system in it is WORTH working! Pink Floyd in that cab is killer
I had the opportunity to visit with Brock and drive the TYM over the weekend. Very impressive machine, easy to operate, comfortable and well laid out drive station. I believe this machine will serve you well and we look forward to upcoming videos.
I sold my Kubota M7060 with 700hrs and bought a TYM T494 with a cab. I had a lot of sleepless nights wondering if I made the right choice. I now have 150 hours on the T494, and I couldn't be happier. It lifts almost as much as the m7060 It plows wet heavy snow better using the same 8' plow it pulls logs pretty good not as good as the Kubota, but it has 20hp less. Tym also has a 6-year warranty and Kubota has 3. I like the Kukje engine also, I went with the T494 because It didn't have a turbo just one less thing to brake. It does seem to use a little more fuel than the Kubota but not terrible. I enjoyed your videos on all the different tractors you did a great job and will be a help to anyone looking to buy a new tractor. Take care
@timkopp2204 Just something else to break, if I was mowing and needed more power I would without doubt. But I mostly plow snow and pull logs and the extra power really wouldn't help me.
I was a TYM dealer, I was a TYM Territory Manager and I owned aTYM T330. Sadly, TYM management is terrible, parts support is miserable, dealerships quit because of parts and warranty issues. When you get 3000 hours, can get parts, the same dealer is still carrying the brand we will revisit.
I went from a 2019 Kubota Grand L6060 hst cab (ran it for 4 years and 450 hours) to a Kioti DK4720 hst cab and haven’t looked back at all. That Kubota was the most rough riding, most uncomfortable seat, over priced, and overrated tractor on the market. I love my Kioti, lifts more, waaay more comfortable riding across fields, more visibility and waaay more stable with a load on the loader.
When I was shopping for a tractor. My local TYM dealer said he loved the tractor but not the company. He said that they were difficult to deal with. I ended up finding a used Kioti for a good price.
Great choice!! I just picked up my TYM 574 HC TLB with R14's this past weekend along with 4 additional implements. What a fantastic machine. I researched and researched my research on all the brands and kept coming back to the TYM 574.Great videos!!! Thanks Brock
Just purchased a TYM 494 ROPS paid $32,000 including tax . Could have stepped up to the 574 but 494 was more tractor than I really needed plus the turbo is just something else that could possibly give problems later on after warranty was done. Unit came with grapple, stump bucket, land plane, tires filled and several other odd and ends even has blue tooth speakers and work lights. The tractor is outstanding. My dealer is 15 miles away and maintenance on tractor is very easy to do. Felt the price was very fair. Very happy with purchase would do all over again if needed. PS GREAT VIDEO THANK YOU.
Brock, the TYM574 is the one I was guessing you were going to end up with, nice looking tractor! I've been eyeing it for awhile though I've gone back and forth between the 474 and the 574... I think if I pull the trigger on one itll probably be the 574 at this point. I do want to support my (semi) local dealer, but thats a bangin' deal from your dealer! It's a huge blessing being in the position you are, sell those other machines and feature other loaners for awhile!
I was shopping the three South Korean brands, Kitoi, TYM and LS in 35 HP to under 40 HP. A combination of dealer ability to support, distance and deal at the time led me to purchase a Kioti. I liked all three brands though. 🚜
I agree completely and purchased my TYM T474 last year. The price and the mechanical engineering is what lead me to the decision. So far after 250 hr, it’s been a rock star and I got the good spring seat, arm rests, Cruze control, rubber floor mat, rear remote hydraulic, plus more…..standard! Not an upgrade!
After looking at a lot of tractors, I bought a used JD 2630 (75 HP) for $6,000. It has a new short block, injection pump, Hydraulic pump, and one new rear tire. I bought a new rear tire that matches. I bought an original matching 145 front end loader at auction. I ordered new hydraulic lines as the previous owner had installed rubber lines and were in the way of the front end installation. My dealer had to order the steel hydraulic lines from Atlanta for about $300 (three lines) and got them in 2 days. Almost everything else I needed the dealer had in stock. People, this is a 50 year old machine and absolutely no issue getting parts. There are no electronic issues with this machine ever lol, only electrical parts on the machine are the starter, alternator, lights. and battery. I plan to install new front tires and paint this winter and I will have around $10,000. I bought original factory repair manuals on EBay.
I appreciate your comment about being a nobody as it relates to your commentary; you aren’t. I live in central Texas and have been tractor shopping for months. Determining if it’s a need or want; finding my niche as it were. Your channel has been super helpful. In still torn between Summit and some of the others. Just a hard time justifying what they ask cost versus what I can and will be using the for. Also very stuck on India and Korean tractors, being retired military. Likely selling for the lesser of the two, the Korean versions. Thank you and appreciate your content
My father bought his Kubota in 1989. He sadly passed a decade ago, I still have it, never had a problem with it. I bought a B2601 last year for more capacity, 150hrs so far and zero issues. Kubota is the best machine made. Yanmar is the only other I would personally consider. For me, I value a machine that will keep going for decades without issue.
I have had Kubota, Massey Ferguson 60hp (Izeki) and Mahindra utility tractor My favorite was the Massey Ferguson 60 hp built by Iseki Quality built like Kubota for less money
Congratulations. I knew you were getting a TYM. I agree with your points you made. I have a kubota L3130 hst and it has been great but I still stand by if I were buying a new tractor today it would be TYM. Dollar to doughnuts its the best bang for your buck and second choice would be between kubota and kioti. Especially since I now have experience buying from Kubota and Deere now.
@@johnphillips3512bullshit…jd e series 45-90 shit. Try to get them worked on if u ain’t over 150hp. I sold every pos jd I had. All my hay equipment was Deere no more.
Yes way over priced,I own a L 6060 Nordic edition 2023 with loader $93000 and now 2024 well over a $100k Canadian. Yanmar and Kioti $20000 less. I love my Kubota still.
@@harrybrown6248why are they shit? Because you can’t get them worked on? I have a 5065E and mechanic has been out the same day, twice, to work on it. Same with my 6105E. The 5065E will lift just as much as the 6105E. The main difference is weight and PTO HP.
Went with the Yanmar YT359C after your farm show review and simply love it! Hands down the best 60 hp tractor on the market. Excellent cab, fit and finish heads above the competition.
I considered Deere, tym and yanmar. After operating the ihmt trans, you really learn how gutless the hydrostatics are. That, coupled with reliability and overall quality, the yanmar really stood out to me. The Deere was too pricey, and the tym was too cheap feeling.
The YT359C is a work of art and a super strong machine. The IHMT transmission is an engineering marvel that works like an HST but is much more efficient. The A/B mode is amazing. Ground speed and engine rpm set independently in two separate modes. I'm thinking Brock didn't get to experience it's advantages. Automotive style cruise control, dual rear remotes standard. 2500lb FEL lifting capacity. Much much more. Pure hydrostatic like the TYM is a turn off. Too inefficient.
These ARE The "CADILLAC ESCALADE" of Compact Tractors. The TRANSMISSION & Build Quality are Second to None. With a PURE 10 year warranty these are the BEST.!! The only "down-points" are the limited dealers & the Price but better than JD & a stronger Tractor for Similar pricing to the Kubogy's.
I"ve got a yanmar 359c with just under 50 hrs on it. Like the tractor turns on a dime everything works slick as a button. One thing i dont like is the speed difference between the gears in 3rd it will run 18mph in 2nd 6mph 1st is a crawl. Sometimes you just need more speed without having to change gears. Thats me being picky.
I figured that would be the one. I have the same engine in my T474 and it has been absolutely flawless after 820 hours. Routine maintenance is all I’ve had to do.
I recently bought a Kubota, I went with Kubota because they are the Toyota of tractors. Reliability, Resale, and parts and service available. I looked at Mahindra, New Holland, Kioti and Massey Ferguson. I could have saved several Thousand dollars with more standard upgrades. I started out looking for a used tractor but I saw a lot of Korean/China made tractors with less than 200 hours being sold as is that has issues which tells me the quality control is not as good on these brands. Just my Humble opinion.
Agreed. While people do complain about kubota and John deere lifting capacity, They are set lower because of their tipping weight. They cannot guarantee you will not have weight on the back in order to keep you from tipping over and you suing them. The lifting capacity can be adjusted through the pressure release. Don't. Let the dealer find out but you can do it. And a good heavy bushhog makes it good counterweight.
The quality is absolutely not the same and making that mistaken assumption will hurt everyone buying a 20% cheaper machine because “it’s just as good!”. I have been there, buying chinese crap for most of my early life. Now I see all the stuff I have is crap that won’t survive being handed down to my children. Buy quality. Japan > USA > Korea > everyone else. It applies to nearly everything manufactured.
And even now a days you need to be careful that even some Japanese brands are making products in China now, such as Makita, and the quality is apparent. Japan invented much of lean manufacturing, the nation just flat out makes higher quality products.
@@Ubergamer256 only the low end makita are. The most recent Makita tool i bought is the deep cut band saw and it was made in Japan. You can order the tools straight form Japan now since the yen is low.
People that buy Korean brands are usually new to farming. A lot of them by on price point, work a tractor for a year or two and then either go out of business of by a bigger machine. I bought Kioti 5320. Great tractor, did everything I needed it to but after a few years I need a bigger machine. I will till stick to Kioti but mine will be for sale.
I went through the same review last year. It came down to TYM and Kioti. I went with Kioti due to the dealership being nearby and has been around for 40+ years. The TYM dealer would not change out the tires from R4 to either R14 ( preferred ) or R1 which brought the tractors more or less to the same price point. I certainly agree with you on the simplicity of the engine and the dealership even indicated that a DPF delete was very simple once the warranty expired. With one would have been a good choice for me. Good choice for you.
When we went tractor shopping I had limited choice as far as brands go. For us we were looking for cost, ease of use and availability. Eventually after knocking some brands off of the list we ended up going with a Massey Ferguson. We've looked into possibly getting a TYM but there are no dealers in this area and we didn't want to travel 2 hours to the nearest dealer. So far the Massey has been great and it's also a very simple machine, no electronic computers on in. We might go for a Massey Ferguson 2607H in the near future since it's one of the few tractors offered in the 75hp range that doesn't have a DEF system. I believe it also has mechanical fuel injection on it as well. Aside from that another option we've been eyeing is a Kubota 540 wheel loader since it's much more versatile and pre-setup for multi-function implements. Plus it has a hefty lifting capacity when equipped with pallet forks. :)
It really does just come down to what tractor has the best price with the features you want and has a service center close to where you live and work. For me, I'm just four miles as the crow flies from a fantastic Massey Ferguson dealer and shop so I tend to support them. Now I'm kind of hoping to have a TYM dealer move in near by. Excellent series!
Brother Brock, heavily based on the information you provided in this video regarding Branson Tractors and the Kukje engines, I purchased a TYM 2515H today. I sincerely appreciate your honesty, and passion to help others. Cheers 👊💥
I have both a Kioti CK2620 and a TYM 264, love them both. The Kukje engine on the T264 has such a wonderful sound. Neighbors have stopped by to tell me how impressive it sounds for a 3 banger diesel. 😂
@chrisking4422 it depends on the situation. When I need to work in a confined space or have a small job the T264 will get the task. The CK2620 is for larger jobs where space is not an issue. I do like the comfort features on the CK2620 more so it is more often chosen because of that but they are both great machines. I love the Kukje engine on the T264, it has good power and great harmonics, love it's sound. The TYM models you are looking at will have those comfort features (suspension seat, etc.) as the CK2620 does.
I bought the TYM 574C for a lot of the same reasons. I've had it for about a year and love it except for some of the ergonomics. The 3pt raise/lower lever and 2 hydraulic levers are a little cumbersome but work. Getting into and out of the cab is a little tight if you are in L range ( lever sticks front ). Still very happy with my decision after trading my Deere 3033R in on it when it kept breaking ( it was new ).
I recently purchased a TYM T574 hydrostatic from Zimmerman Equipment in New Castle VA. 11 hours on it and Love it so far. I chose it based on price, features and the simplicity of the Kukje engine. Time will tell.
My son in law taught me how to drive his Kybota last summer. Now mind you this is the first time I’ve driven a small tractor but, it felt like it was made sturdy to haul debris yet comfortable and easy to drive for this grandma ( and fun too).
I'm getting ready to pull the plug on a t474 cab and those prices are amazing but my dealer said if you buy somewhere else and have it shipped in you go to the back of the line for warranty and repair work. Too bad you can't get TYM to offer discount coupons good at any dealer for your viewers.
I own 2 Kubota's. The only thing I would give them a negative on are features. I bought a B3030 winter cabbed tractor about 12 years ago. They no longer make this model. The tractor was over $25K and and came without a factory installed 12-volt port. In addition, the wheels were so close to the frame that I couldn't run chains for winter use. So I had to install factory wheel spacers.
I own a used 1995 Kubota M4700 with loader and after-market cab. I replaced the glow-plugs, hydraulic pump.. and that's it. Otherwise regular maintenance.
I was skeptical when U posted this video! I figured U went with BOBCAT & I was all set to tell U how bad of a decision that would have been, BUT now U have me all interested in a TYM! I even contacted my local dealer to see if they will price match the guy U have listed! Will look forward to more videos on this tractor!!
I had a Kori and sold it because the 4 dealers near me all sucked. They couldn’t even keep maintenance items in stock and every time I needed a part it was 2-3 weeks before I would get them. All of this was pre covid
Hi Brock, just wanted to say last year I bought a RK37 with a backhoe and grapple and can say I couldn't be more happier!!! The 37 is just the right size for me and what I do for firewood for myself. For the money I got the perfect tractor for me but it is fun to see all the ones you have reviewed!!!
I have a Deere 4310 I bought new decades ago. I's been good, but the electronics are the week point. Several years ago Deere pulled the franchises of all the small local dealerships (including the one I used) in favor of one giant dealership for the whole State! Thanks, JD. I bought a Yanmar YT 359C during covid, and it has been a good machine, although not nearly as nimble as my old Deere, and I found myself jumping on the Deere, instead, if it was just a quick mission. My local dealer, now Yanmar, used to be Mahindra. He had a leftover machine I inquired about on his lot, and he wouldn't sell it to me (we're friends). He couldn't get Mahindra to honor warranty work, and ended up eating a number of repairs that should have been covered.
Love my TYM T264. Tony from Tony's Tractor Adventure recommended it to me a couple of years ago and I couldn't be happier with it. Two years in and zero problems. The price was ay lower than the Kubota I originally was looking at. Actually $2800 cheaper than the comparable one from them. No regrets on TYM purchase. Smiths Enterprise in NC sold my 2022 to me brand new out the door for 16K. My only worry with it is my wife now wants to drive it.
When I was tractor shopping a couple years ago, the Kukje/cummins design was the number one reason I was interested in Branson machines. Secondly, the capacities and thirdly, the value. Great video!
Hard to argue Brock! I love my Kubota and it’s my second one. Resale and dealer support were my reasons why. No doubt if I had access to these other dealers, perhaps I may have been easier to move. Hard to argue with selling a machine, 12 years into ownership for what you payed for it. I just love them all and your ability to test them had to be awesome. I’m sure that TYM will be all you’ve been looking for.
in 2021 I purchased a new Kubota M6060 Cab and front loader for $36k don't regret it at all. It will do everything you need it to do. Bush Hog, Grapple work, Hay...you name it. The JD was at least10% more expensive for less tractor
Great video. I too looked at every brand. I got the 574 as well. I run the pi## out of mine and it impresses me every time i get on it. I got mine delivered in Fl with 3rd function for $35k
I honestly thought you wouldnt give TYM a chance given your JD history. My Kioti/New Holland dealership manager hadnt even heard of TYM. Kubota salesman either. I think TYM's awareness will spread like wild fire in coming years. I know its sparse down in south Florida in JD, Case, and Kubota land.
I have the kubota mx5400. 4 years and 450 trouble free hours. Time will tell but I feel that is a decent time frame to gauge the quality of the product.
For the price you cant go wrong. I baught my Kubota's over ten years ago, i use them in my logging and sawmill operation, haven't had one any repairs yet. But if i had to buy now, id go with the tym
Very well researched and presented evaluation, and I certainly wouldn't (nor would I want to) talk you out of your choice. Recognizing that priorities differ among buyers, rankings will differ, but you have justified your preference with facts that are hard to argue with. Congrats with your dealer association, and I look forward to your reviews.
I'm on my second L series Kubota, loved them both. Have run a number of similar Deeres, no comparison in my opinion. Can't argue with the Tym selection, I was thinking hard about that before I stumbled on the L3560 with low hours at a great price.
cheaper buy in canada then u.s seems at least my kubota dealer sells cheaper and few thousands of dollars off the attachments and ships it any wheres in canada and u.s
@michaelmactavish4445 are you looking at the L 5460 with a cab? I think the cab ad is $12,000. If you get the open station and you get the series, then this size machine was like 35,000 from kubota
@@RockhillfarmYT we bought the 49hp l4760 with cab and loader, bucket forks and puma blower for pretty good deal package with trailer included for $35,000with the trade of the old 6210 deere plus the kubota dealer took off $2,500 for the tractor and loader and $500 off the bucket and forks and $1,000 off the blower plus with 6x10 n&n trailer for pretty good package deal of $35,000 because we needed a new compact tractor and loader and blower to clear sidewalks in winter
@@michaelmactavish4445 , our local dealers couldn’t even get the machines in to sell them. The only thing they had above 40 horse tractors was a small M series they had was a chicken house tractor that was priced at $75k.
TYM Corporation does NOT Support after sale customer needs. I purchased a T574, need a simple part that should be readily available. 9 weeks later NO part. TYM DOESN'T CARE. Don't buy a TYM
Very interesting comparison of these tractors and their prices. I bought a John Deere 990 brand new in 2002 and have used it doing heavy dirt work and firewood cutting since then. At 800+ hours, my girl is getting a little tired and I'm starting to look around for something I can afford to replace her. This I know: I'll never spend $60,000 for a 50 horse power tractor with loader. I'll walk barefoot in the snow first.
I still have my Kubota but when I wanted to get a cab it was 23k difference in price with fewer features on it that I really needed so it would have been close to a 26k difference in the end. I had cold sweats about changing but I have to say if I was shopping today I’d probably go to a TYM dealer first and I doubt I’d leave without a deal. If Kubota ever gets serious about pricing we’ll see. So far I love my 474. This was a great video series. I’m looking forward to watching what you do with yours.
Just recently got a BadBoy 4035 with the cab and backhoe and it’s been great so far! Dealer is only 45 minutes away from me and has been very helpful so far too!
I have a2021 TYM 574 cab tractor also, I love it. 899 hrs with no mechanical issues, Prior to that I had a KUBOTA L3901, which was a great also, but it definitely wasn't built as tough as the TYM. BTW I use my tractor in commercial use.
I am a Bobcat tech and we've sold a lot of the Bobcat CT tractors. I'm not sure on the 50 yp 60HP Bobcat/Kioti Tractors but I know the lower Horse Power tractors engine are an exact copy of the Kubota engine's. You could literally swap the parts from one to the other. The only external difference is the name stamped on the block
All the TYM around here in East Tennessee just sit on the Rural King lots until the sun fades the paint and dry rots the tires. Somebody told me it had something to do with serviceability. Don't know if that's true.
I think it depends on the area and the fact that it's a Rural King. I personally love Rural King but I never bothered looking at their tractors, because I figured when I buy a tractor, I will go to a dealership. In PA it's been nothing but die hard John Deere and Kubota over the years. In the past 8yrs, I've noticed, Kioti, LS and TYM have started popping up and is gaining popularity. I have an LS dealer 2 miles from my house but I decided on the TYM after I researched it more and I love mechanical injection of the Kukje. So far I haven't needed anything from the dealer except for a couple of filters, which they had on stock, plus our Rural King had them too. Personally I like to stock myself with those for the o schit moments haha.
Great choice Brock, I own a kioti and love it, it has never failed me. But I have been thinking lately of trading up to a cab tractor and tym is really impressing me. I too may own a tym in the near future.
I like the process you took and I like the offer Jake from the tractor yard made, that is hard to pass up. I would jump at that deal in a heartbeat as long as I had a dealership close by for parts maintenance and a mechanic that know's a lot about them. There isn't one for hundreds of miles.
CONGRATULATIONS!! Excellent choice and deal on the TYM. As I had mentioned earlier my thoughts were that you would choose the TYM or the LS. I’m really looking forward to seeing the TYM perform over the next year with you! Awesome day at Rockhill Farm 👍👍🔥🔥. Christmas Came early this year……
I had a feeling it was the TYM. I love the cost and the value you get for that cost. Very well said man!! Looking forward to seeing how you use the new tractor.
I found what you said about price is true. When we were looking for a cab tractor, I priced Kubota and John Deere and they were about $10K more than what we ended up buying. We ended up with a New Holland Boomer 50 HST for price and availability. At the time we bought 2 years ago, availability was still a big factor. We had a 6 week wait for our tractor rather than a 6 to 9 month wait. 375 hours on the machine now and I've had zero problems with it. It's not perfect, were I to design it, I would change one or two things. The main thing I would change is the range select lever.. Winter time I have a snow plow on the front and a snow blower on the back. Turning around to blow snow put my right knee up against the range select lever and it get in the way a bit. I would like an outside lever to adjust the 3 point when hooking up also. Other than those two complaints, I think it is a great machine.
TYM is the tractor I had picked you going with. The only reason I said maybe LS is if you decided you wanted some bells and whistles. Personally the TYM by keeping manual injector pump and less bells and whistles has made it a more dependable and lower parts cost tractor. I wish I had a dealer closer to me, 4 and 6 hour one way drive is just to far. As we all know you will have to get parts sooner or later. I would prefer to have a good dealer within 1 hour one way drive, 4 to 6 hour drive one way I'm having to take off work then spend the whole day driving in a rush.
I'm glad you've gotten into such a great situation, Brock! I look forward to seeing you make videos about what you do with your TYM tractor. Take care and God Bless.
Great choice Brock. I can’t wait to see the TYM working in future videos. The only reason I didn’t go with TYM is the closest dealer is 130 miles away. I went with a Kubota MX5400 that dealer is only 4 miles away and I have known the owner since we were kids. He gave me a great deal. I really enjoyed this series. You did a fantastic job. Thanks
I was doing tractor research on compact tractors a few years ago. I would have gone with Massey Ferguson, specifically the 2860M. In CT., there are really only 2 dealerships and they are not near me at all. AGCO focuses only on larger farm based territories. There are John Deere and Kubota dealerships one town over from me and a few more in the state. I’d just like to have dealer support close by if I was spending a good chunk of change. That said, I held off until til I can work my purchase plan up a bit. Anyway…. Stay Safe Folks!!!
Solid choice Brock. TYM was my second choice when I was shopping for a new tractor. Came down to dealer. I have 3 Kioti Dealers in easy driving distance from me. TYM had none that were close. I went away from JD also after all my life on one. Still have 2 JDs but when I went new, I went away from them. I’ll guess I’ll be first to say I never was impressed with Kubota and tried to include them in my research but kept away as I’ve have not had good experiences with them. Anyway Congrats
How does the price compare to RK tractors? I currently own a kubota and a Kioti both about the same size and capability but the kioti has a cab. My primary favorite is the Kubota simply because of availability of online parts and Schematics. Messicks is a huge resource for parts, information and easily accessible schematics. I wish they were closer. The closest dealer is JD but they were originally too expensive for new and didn’t have a used size I needed but Kubota did. It never disappointed me so i stuck with them for going on 30 years.
Ok, well, you're talking to a guy that is about ready to give away his Kubota. I had 600hrs when the engine broke a rod. Kubota had it bored and they rebuilt it at a cost of 8k. 120 hours later, another rod, stuck rings, burned rod bearings and no help from Kubota. I've priced every tractor under the sun, and will be picking up a new TYM this week. I am paying less for a fully cabed tractor with more hp than I did for my L4600 new in 2013. I have a total of 740 hrs and 2 rebuilds on a tractor I can't even recoup rebuild value on. Would I own another? Not for the price or their service.
I haven't watched the video on the Kukje engine yet, but I used to have an old Volkswagon Squareback that had mechanical fuel injection. It was very unreliable and constantly needed maintenance. So, I cringe when I hear mechanical fuel injection, but I'm open minded and will watch that video next.
THE SQUARE BACK VW HAD AN ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP THAT I HAD REPLACE SO MANY TIMES, THAT I KEPT A SHARPENED WOODEN PENCIL TO PLUG THE SUPPLY HOSE WHILE CHANGING OUT THE PUMPS. HAD THE BIG VW LANSING, MICHIGAN DEALER TEST THE BAD PUMPS TO: THEIR SUCKS TO BE YOU! HELP.
The reason I’m going with a 4 series John Deere is because owning a John Deere has been a goal of mine since I was a little kid. With my personality I won’t be happy until I can check that box off even if I’ve grown to dislike the brand over the past decade.
Excellent video Brock! I have been in a very similar situation. I currently own a JD 1025r, but find myself in need of a more capable tractor and decided to look in the 50 to 60 hp range. My research wasn't nearly as extensive as yours, but I did land on the same exact tractor for many of the same reasons. Now I just need to get my CFO (aka wife) to release the funds. LOL. I very much enjoyed watching you through this process! Thanks for the content and keep it up!
I have the same tractor minus the cab . Youll love this tractor for the first 200 hours, then she starts to show her true colors, the axles are an issue, and your seals will start to leak hubs will start to pop . Pay close attention to your front rims for oil. My Dearler didn't want anything to do with it , I was a month out of my 2 yr warranty, my luck. Outside of the axles it's been a wonderful tractor and im on alot of different tractors daily.
I have to admit I'm a little disappointed that Massey Ferguson didn't even make your list. Everybody has their reasons for what they pick for tractors but honestly I've never even heard of a TYM until a couple month's ago watching a channel similar to yours. Hope it works well for you. Thanks.
My list Kioti #1. yanmar #2 because their components are in a lot of brands John Deere #3 because of dealerships Mahindra #4 good dealerships near me Kubota #5 great tractor horrible dealership has monopoly in NH if I could buy one in my zip code from a dealer out of network I would have made #2. Friends have TYM and they are made cheap many broken parts warranty is good but what happens when warranty runs out.
Brock, I'm new to tractors and your videos have been so helpful. Thank you so much for all the effort you have put in to making these videos. I was thinking the same thing that you mentioned, that I could buy two TYM tractors for the price of a Deer or Kabota and have a large one when I need a lot of power and a small one when I need to get in tight areas.
I came out of a smaller B1700 Kubota, looking for a bigger tractor with a cab. I looked at many of the brands, but for the money i went with the TYM 474. A comparable Kubota would have cost me 25k more, and so far I've been very pleased.
My husband bought a Tym 474CH with trailer, bush hog, hay spear, rake , auger and flail mower out the door for 34000. Smiths Enterprise is the real deal!
My dad has a Kioti and I have a identically sized Deere. We both abuse the tractors. They get worked hard. My dad has had multiple problems with his front wheel drive. Bad bearings, bad seals, broken gears. His loader frame broke. I have had almost no issues with my Deere and I have double the hours on it. But I bought my tractor in 2006 and he bought his in the 2010s. Maybe things are different in 2024.
The Tractor yard has a special offer going right now for my viewers. You can get this TYM 574 cab Tractor for $34,500 with one dollar per mile shipping anywhere in continental United States. 9184864464

That’s an incredible deal on a cab tractor.
It is
I have the same tractor, 400 hrs now. I use the heck out of it. What a performer.
Great choice!
Buy a cab kuala for less
Your logic and reasoning makes perfect sense. Best price, highest lift capacity, and mechanical fuel injection. Looks like a no-brainer. That dealer is offering a great deal.
You can't beat TYM! So much quality tractor for the money. I bought my 474 this winter and it's great. Tons of features and their customer service has been really good. And you are 100% correct on their engine! Good choice of tractor and congrats!
we dont have tym here in pei canada any more
I’ve owned a Kioti for two years. Love it 👍🏻
TYM price point is a big plus, but it does come to mind an old saying, the cheapest is NOT always the least expensive.
We have a TYM 474 and we ADORE it... the cab is AWESOME! The engine is FABULOUS and it runs PERFECTLY! Less electronic BS on the engine!
We are using ours ALLLLLL the time and I have had NO PROBLEMS. We got the tires loaded with Rim Guard and it made it so much more stable on slopes and better for hauling hay!
Rim guard is a must
@@RockhillfarmYT We agree.
It was nice meeting you.
Take care
we bought a $35,000 l4760 at our dealer with 49hp and $2,500off there l series and $500 off loader attachments,$1,000 off on a snowblower
No turbo on a diesel?!?
I'm out.
@timkopp2204 Just something else to break, if I was mowing and needed more power I would without doubt. But I mostly plow snow and pull logs and the extra power really wouldn't help me.
@@billnolin9423 it's not about power. And turbos don't break.
Have to say I saw this coming! I purchased my 5835 from the tractor yard a year ago and they were great! And my tractor is great! Congratulations!
Getting the same very soon
I have had Kubota, Massey Ferguson 60hp (Izeki) and Mahindra utility tractor
My favorite was the Massey Ferguson 60 hp built by Iseki
Quality built like Kubota for less money
100%
Congratulations. I knew you were getting a TYM.
I agree with your points you made. I have a kubota L3130 hst and it has been great but I still stand by if I were buying a new tractor today it would be TYM. Dollar to doughnuts its the best bang for your buck and second choice would be between kubota and kioti.
Especially since I now have experience buying from Kubota and Deere now.
John deere and Kubota are way overpriced
You get what you pay for
@@johnphillips3512bullshit…jd e series 45-90 shit.
The 10 year warranty won't mean much if they leave the American market in 2025
People who over pay never ever say they dislike the product!
They are all junk
you got it right, mechanical fuel inj. easy to work on
It really does just come down to what tractor has the best price with the features you want and has a service center close to where you live and work.
Which one do you like better? I’ve got a Kioti ck2620 cab and wondering about going to like a tym 4215, 494 or 574
@chrisking4422 it depends on the situation.
I just got a 2024 LS 242 with cab. I love it.
Agree with all your points. Engine design is perfect ! Lift comfort features ! Congratulations Brock
When I was tractor shopping a couple years ago, the Kukje/cummins design was the number one reason I was interested in Branson machines. Secondly, the capacities and thirdly, the value. Great video!
Love my 574. Kukje was partnered with Cummins as an official mfr. I bought mine for the same reasons you did.
There is a reason your Kubota has lasted 10 years no issues. RUclipsrs get paid to talk up these cheap knock offs brands. Kubota is tried and tested.
Thanks
I looked at a TYMT474 with cab and shuttle shift, with four-wheel-drive and loader for $31,000 brand new
Brock - this was an EXCELLENT overview - very informative
I'm on my second L series Kubota, loved them both. Have run a number of similar Deeres, no comparison in my opinion. Can't argue with the Tym selection, I was thinking hard about that before I stumbled on the L3560 with low hours at a great price.
I came to the same conclusion when I bought a TYM. I could buy 2 TYM tractors for the price of one John Deere or Kubota.
cheaper buy in canada then u.s seems at least my kubota dealer sells cheaper and few thousands of dollars off the attachments and ships it any wheres in canada and u.s
Great choice Brock!! I think my next tractor will be a TYM also! It makes sense in more ways than one!
*Keep on tractoring!*
Welcome to the TYM family Brock. Love that tractor. I have an outstanding T474, but my next tractor will either be a T574 or 5835r.
Brock, reached a similar conclusion last month. My 574 HC with backhoe arrives tomorrow. I’ll post some vids on my channel.
I got a kioti (and im very happy with it. no real complaints) but i wish i had known about TYM before i had made the purchase.
Christmas Came early this year……
Brock, from the research i have done, and watching your research. It seems like the TYM is the best buy for the money.
Same research I see, value for the $$
I had a feeling it was the TYM.
A mechanical fuel injection on a Cummins engine platform is very interesting. Easy to maintain and work on engine.
Just curious why Massey Ferguson, for example the 2600 series, didn't make your list?
I'm glad you've gotten into such a great situation, Brock! I look forward to seeing you make videos about what you do with your TYM tractor.
Take care and God Bless.
Great choice Brock. I can’t wait to see the TYM working in future videos. The only reason I didn’t go with TYM is the closest dealer is 130 miles away. I went with a Kubota MX5400 that dealer is only 4 miles away and I have known the owner since we were kids. He gave me a great deal. I really enjoyed this series. You did a fantastic job. Thanks
It’s a nice tractor
I bought the Branson/TYM 48 HP cab LAST YEAR... Absolutely love it .but next time no cab
Thank you 😊
I value your opinion 👍🏻
I was surprised new holland didn’t make the list. I just thought it would. Great series Brock!
HELP.
TYM,and Kioti are my two favorite.
I wonder if they recently changed the warranty. I was told it is six years.
@@RockhillfarmYT 6 yrs drive train, 2 yrs all other parts
@msanford75 that should be covered under drive train.
@jakrn01 Well, one would think, but they labeled it as something else. Go figure, right
I have to admit I'm a little disappointed that Massey Ferguson didn't even make your list. Everybody has their reasons for what they pick for tractors but honestly I've never even heard of a TYM until a couple month's ago watching a channel similar to yours. Hope it works well for you. Thanks.
My list Kioti #1.
yanmar #2 because their components are in a lot of brands
John Deere #3 because of dealerships
Mahindra #4 good dealerships near me
Kubota #5 great tractor horrible dealership has monopoly in NH if I could buy one in my zip code from a dealer out of network I would have made #2.
Thanks
I came out of a smaller B1700 Kubota, looking for a bigger tractor with a cab. I looked at many of the brands, but for the money i went with the TYM 474. A comparable Kubota would have cost me 25k more, and so far I've been very pleased.
You get what you pay for just saying good luck 😅
Deere doesn't depreciate like the others. Try selling a TYM Kioti bobcat with a 1000hrs on it and see how much $ you'll lose on the backside
Whats funny is i bought that same tractor, after doing my own research. I love the sinple motor in them.
My husband bought a Tym 474CH with trailer, bush hog, hay spear, rake , auger and flail mower out the door for 34000. Smiths Enterprise is the real deal!
Your husband screwed you. Kubota will outlive that tractor by not years but a generation. Just saying
I’m glad you finally decided on a tractor brand and got a pretty good deal with your local dealer. I would have chosen Yanmar myself.
