    The T474 is probably TYM's best seller, I've had mine for 4 years also and I'm soooooo satisified with this, I have now 478h on my Cab HST.

      I am also a member of the T474 club, mine is the Cab w/ Shuttle shift and third function & 2 rear remotes, loaded rear tires it is everything that I had hoped for. Less than a year of ownership, but approaching 180 hours.

      The T474 is the third best seller only slightly behind the 2515. The T25 is number one. Pricing has a lot to do with that, but in my opinion, I think the T474 is the best value tractor on the market. It can do so much.

    I forgot to mention about the only thing I do not completely like on my T474 is having to reach down so low to find and use the three point hitch lever. In my personal experience, I would rather it be a little higher and outboard just a tick. But I also at the same time realize there is only so much room down there by the right hand side of the operator seat.

      Yes, Sir! TYM has sponsored our channel for years, but they have never asked us to say any thing or asked us to remove any thing. I have told a few things about the 2515 that I don't like in reviews, but again, they were supportive and said they would work on it.

    Upgraded my Kubota L3800 to the TYM494. I absolutely love its performance. Had it going on 3 years and it does everything I need it to. If I have a complaint, it would be the loader valve isn't as smooth as the Kubota. Having said that, no regrets and I recommend TYM to anyone I talk to about tractors. Enjoy your videos and how you and Tanya work together, I also enjoy watching your supervisor Gizmo.

    Hey Tony! Inviting some input. I've been doing some research on tractors lately. I've narrowed it down to 3 brands, TYM, LS, and Kioti. We have 15 acres and currently on the list for a well to be drilled. In the mean time looking for a tractor that will be strong enough to lift 275 gallon water container. The 474 is pushing the limit, the TYM 494, and LS MT347 have a higher loader capacity. The 494 comes with a bigger footprint which can be a disadvantage in some cases. The Kioti tractors come with a bigger price, and dont know too much on the LS. I was dead set on the T474, until i calculated the weight of our water container at full capacity. What are yoir suggestions? Btw, you really make that T474 shine and at 4 years it still looks good! Love the channel! Keep the vids coming!

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 месяца назад +2

      The T474 will not lift a full water tote. I know for sure. I lift my water tote at about 3/4 full. I have a 3/4 ton Ram 2500, and that is a lot of weight for it as well. I really know it is back there. If you are needing to move full containers, then the T494 would be a better fit.

    Sir, I'm retired SFC U.S. A. I have the same tractor 474 with 350 hrs in 3 years. I had put on a hydraulic top link and it has bent the rear remote. fitting and It has a small leak of hydraulic fluid. I can't find a 90 deg fitting to replace the some fitting so it would not interfere with the operation of the hydraulic top link. Do you have any suggestions for me? 2nd question, the power steering will pull to the left and it takes a full turn plus to maintain a straight drive meanwhile, I continually turning to the right. to maintain a straight drive? I've called my local TYM dealer and since it's over a year old no warranty. Where a video that can help? I love the tractor but TYM support is not helpful at all.

      The wheelbase on tym tractors is nearly exactly the same as other brands. Some of their big tractors come with wheels turned in for shipping but they can be let out to the desired width.

    I have a 494 shuttle shift cab. Basically same tractor as your 474 but bigger frame. I love it. Only issue I've had was a leaking seal on front axle but I'm pretty sure that was self inflicted. TYM makes a good tough tractor.

There is a certain component on the engine that is easily removed that I cannot easily remove on my LS due to a computer program etc. forgot to add two years 400 hours on the LS and zero problems

    I bought my T474 about eight months ago and have been working a 15 acre parcel with it with great satisfaction. However, I recently purchased a flail mower and attempted to hook it up to the PTO. What I discovered is the PTO will not engage. I thoroughly went through the manual and contacted multiple dealers, researched the Internet and followed all of the recommended diagnostic procedures. The PTO will not engagE. When I tried to obtain warranty service through my local dealer I was told they could not help because TYM is not paying warranty claims. I then reached out to my selling dealer who confirmed that T 4:06 YM is not paying their dealers and that he had recently “divorced himself“ from the brand and had sent all his tractors back to TYM. I have reached out to TYM through their website and have not heard back. I now have an expensive flail mower and an almost very nice tractor, which I cannot use. My biggest fear is that there is no source for parts or service from the brand!

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 месяца назад

      Have you checked the fuses? It is such a simple system. There's just not much to go wrong. Ensure the pto lever falls into gear. Sometimes you have to push forward on the PTO lever while bumping the engage button. This causes the gears to align. It's much more prevalent in a very new tractor. Now mine is broken in, and it falls into gear very easily.

    • @KenWPB
      @KenWPB 3 месяца назад

      Yes, I checked all fuses.
      I’m confident the lever is engaging

    Does the T474 have draft control?

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 месяца назад

      No, you would have to move up to a T494 for draft control. The T474 is more of a general utility tractor. The T494 crosses over into the farm utility realm.

      LS makes a good tractor, but about 6 years ago, LS USA almost folded. Almost all of the people that I worked with at corporate office , save a few, are gone. It seems they have turned it around. I have some good friends working there now, and they really like the renewed company.

    My T474 cab model with backhoe wouldn't lift a ton of heating pellets out of a dump truck either. I was disappointed but bad things probably would have happened. Love you TYM!

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 месяца назад

      Your math is off a bit, and a bigger tractor would be the fix. TYM rates the tractor lifting capacity at just over 2100 pounds. They are rated at the pivot pins. Subtract 200 to 300 pounds for the forks and you are down to below 2000 pounds. Also, you lose lifting capacity the further you are away from the pins. You can pick up a 30 pound dumbbell up to your chest, but you can't hold it out straight in front of you. The tractor is no different. Your load was at least 4 foot out in front of the lift pins. You were in the same situation as me, other than my soil should have been around 1600 pound dry. I have no idea what it weighed being wet. I definitely overloaded it.
