    I agree with your assessment on picking the right dealer. You need to have a dealer that you are comfortable with. Most of the compact tractors are very similar and most brands are reliable. Each had their little perks that they provide, but the dealership is an extremely important. Like yourself, I'm not the handiest person, so having that good dealer support (or a nephew that is really good with tools) is important.

    I came out of a small Kubota, to this same tractor you have. No problems thus far, and got a lot of tractor for the money. Thanks for posting your video.

    We bought out 574 this past fall . I just completed the first 50 hour service . I 1000% agree with you on everything. TYM is the best pound for pound tractor on the market . With all the options including the optional front remote we paid $42k out the door including delivery to our home in North Carolina. We bought ours from Oneida tractor in Tennessee. In the deal we had also added a 6 foot rotary mower . And as a comparison we also looked at the kubota 6000 series and the John Deere cab series . Price wise the kubota which did not have any factory remotes was about 14k more ! And the John Deere was absolutely just stupid money . They are certainly proud of their tractors 😳 . I also agree with you on the cab noise . Something I think TYM needs to address a little better . Definitely need headphones or ear plugs . For me that is my only complaint . Thanks for the great and honest review .

      Thanks so much for the comment. Sounds like we had very similar stories. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed mine. Thanks again.

    Had a TYM 353 for 13 years no cab got tired of freezing plowing snow on a mile long dirt road. Traded it in for a 574 cab with heat and AC 20 more hp huge difference also got the factory 3rd function and a 7 foot hydraulic plow. Takes 18 minutes for what used to be up to 8 hours in deep snow. Previous tractor only had the front end loader plowing with a bucket is not very efficient. I looked at the 474 but for not that much more the 574 can do anything I might need in the future. My 574 is not that loud in the cab can definitely listen to the radio.

    1st of all, great video. 2nd don’t ever apologize for buying what you want. Those green and orange tractors add 10k to their tractors because of name.

    I have the same tractor that I bought for the same reasons, although my dealer is farther away. My wife talked me into the cab and I'm glad she did. If I worked a lot in the woods with it that would be a different story, open cab would be better. It gets hot here in N. Cal. but minus the humidity. I know what your summers can be like, I'm from W. KY. That A/C cranks.

    T474 is a great machine, I've got 460h with no regen or any problems to date. I've also got mine decked out with everything you can get on including two rear remotes minus mid PTO.

      @westtnliving2222  4 месяца назад

      I did not know you could get a mid PTO on that tractor. I bet that belly mower is a beast to install lol. Thanks for the comment!!

    My local kubota/deere dealership saved me a ton of money. I went in and wandered around with no help offered so i decided to buy an old mf165 and havent looked back 😂

    I have the 474 (600 hours) with the cab, loader and backhoe. I added the 3rd function as well as rear tire spacers and chains.
    I wear hearing protection at all times and can use the radio and the phone. I do idle down to use the phone.

    My 454 has been great. Timber is good for two things, tearing equipment up and hurting people and thats with heavy equipment. I dont touch anything of anysize with mine that aint a log already. My 710 would wipe its ass on both of our tractors at the same time and I still cringe clearing. Just my thoughts, take care.

    Thanks for the info, I love this tractor, sat on one yesterday, I just dont know if its strong enough to skid trees, I know it has the power. Have you done any skidding and grapple work?

    • @westtnliving2222
      @westtnliving2222  3 месяца назад

      Indeed, I have done tree work with my tractor. It has a load of power, but I’m also comparing it to my little 25 hp tractor. It does not quite have the grunts that a skid steer would have. But it is surprisingly powerful. Thanks so much for coming.

    i have a 2022 TYM T494 , my question is the 474 and 494 are about the same price. the 494 is bigger with more features. what made you choose the 474 over 494? the mech fuel inj. KUKJE is the main reason I looked at 474 494 and 574. the 574 has a turbo the 494 no turbo. the 494 574 and 474 same a2300 engine. the 574 has a turbo. I wanted the most simple modern tractor engine on the market. great vidjas, Mr tenn. Rick Canadarago lake ny PS the hard lines all the way to the bucket is rare on any brand. even them there KU-BOATERS for an Xtra 18k

      Great question. Mainly, they had this model on the lot and I hit a great deal on what he had. Also, like you, I wanted a simple tractor. I also wanted something as small and light as I could get that still had a cab. And the dealer said that the 474 was what I’d want. I know you can get smaller ones but, again, that’s what they had lol. Thanks for the comment!!

    Question For either the gentlemen that posted the video, or any of the folks with similar cab machines. How well do the cabs seal up? The good lord saw fit to bless me with horrific allergies, how well would you say the cab seals for cutting fields, etc

      I have done a bunch of bush hogging for folks and I have found it to stay really clean. Although I have an inch thick of dust on the instrument cluster, I can bush hog and not sneeze my face off lol. Great question, thanks for the comment!!!

      Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it. I’ve left most of our property woods, but have 5-6 acres I need to cut and I’ve been hoping that I won’t spend a bunch of money on a cab tractor only to find out I still am ready to die when running (likely) a flail
