I pretty much went through the same decision making process you did and came up with a similar conclusion. I have a TYM 3515CH on order currently. I needed a minimum PTO HP of 30 to meet my needs, and wanted a cab with hydrostatic transmission. It was simply the best deal possible on a compact tractor with my requirements, and with good dealer support reasonably close. The fact that it has pretty much the best 3 point and loader lift capacity in its class was a bonus! I'm also a big fan of the mechanically fuel injected Kukje / TYM engine.

My dad has one, and makes great use of it. I’m a Kubota guy myself, on my fifth Kubota Utility tractor. For me, the only thing I am not a fan of on the Branson is the loader control location.

I bought my first tractor in 2020 during Covid, but it didn't arrive til mid 2021. It was a Branson 2515h. It was the most affordable with the best lift per it's competitors in the sub compact class. It works for my 12 acres, tilling, bush hogging, road leveling and sump removal.

Brandon seems to be an under-appreciated brand and hope you have good luck with yours.
I've had my 3520H for around seven yrs and have put 800 hrs on it with very few issues. The Cummings engine has performed reliably and other than replacing a few hydraulic hoses there's been no hydraulic system issues either. I keep up on all preventive maintenance myself so the tractor stays home and doesn't go to the dealer for routine stuff.
I don't have inside storage so although I do cover the tractor to give it some shelter from sun & rain it does live outside and that considered the Branson has been a great tractor.

Fun fact, Branson is a subsidiary or Kukje who is owned by TYM. TYM makes their own tractors and also the tractors for Rural King.
The rumor mill is buzzing around leaked internal documents that the Branson lineup will be absorbed into (and rebranded) as TYM. Nothing has been officially released to the public on that yet but consolidating the overlapping models makes sense. The Branson models are also painted orange and sold by Bad Boy under a recently signed 7 year production contract. Based on that I expect the support for these specific machines to actually improve even if the Branson name goes the way of Pontiac and Plymouth.

It’s really become a difficult market to follow. Today, it has become almost as common as owning a gas grill/smoker. Between the 25hp compact and subcompacts, the market has exploded little things are becoming big things… like cabs and high end seats! In the end, for most, it comes down to price point. It’s not even packages, at least not in the northeast. Dealerships are not even trying to compete any more because most are back ordered out at least 60 days. I heard a story today of a guy whose made his first payment and doesn’t even have the tractor yet! Backhoes are trickling in only to be already bought and a customer tractor is just waiting for an install. The dealers don’t have to stroke a single customer for a sale! BUT…when the recession hits and interest rates are shutting down sales…dealers will be kissing my feet…because I’ve got CASH! I was going to go on a waiting list but now, I’ve decided to sit and wait! Lots are going to way overstocked and no buyers because the recession took their credit customers away! I figuring 6 months…maybe 5…lots will be full of tractors and virtual grace yards of customers! I’ll grab a last year model and leave with far more than I would if I went on a wait list and bought today! But I still won’t buy a Deere or kubota….they were raping consumers long before the boom!

@@keithrayeski3147 I do like Kubota, but Their price tag was a little high for me. I would have loved to have gotten a Kioti or Bobcat, but in the end it was Branson who had a tractor ready to go, and so far I love it. Let's just see how much I love it after the first regen though lol. Also I have already found myself wishing I had the money for a second, subcompact tractor for doing chores in the woods and on the levee where there's not as much room. Maybe someday.

@@redneckofftherange3008 I agree on the kubota…john Deere same thing and Kioti is working it’s way up. I know there’s at least a 60 day wait on Kioti…Branson seems to be keeping pace with demands… I’m hoping that holds. I’m staying at 25 hp so I don’t have to deal with the regen…truly though, anything above 25 I think would be more than I need anyway. I’m certainly liking the Branson more and more…now, if they don’t get greedy!!🤣

Look up which brands TYM makes or partially makes and you'll be shocked! TYM is a tractor powerhouse in Korea and after looking at several compact/sub compacts I settled on the TYM T-25 which is by most accounts both a sub compact and a compact. If you look at the Branson you'll find TYM's fingerprints all over it.

I have a Ct2025 bobcat (no cab, basically a yard tractor), and a Branson 5520ch (factory cab). Both very good tractors for their intended purpose. My wife loves using the bobcat, especially when im gone (im a pilot), but the Branson is incredible. Best compact tractor we've owner. It's not my dads NH Powerstar 120, but I don't really need that much tractor for the work we do.

The bobcat salesman at the Pittsburgh dealership told me that the newer bobcat tractors, because bobcat stopped making them for a handful of years and then started back up again and basically struck a deal with the company that builds Kiote tractors. Basically said the bobcats are Kiote tractors painted white. That being said, Kiote tractors are no slouch brand machines. I'm leaning towards the Massey, a bit more money, roughly $2,000 give or take but when spending around $18-19,000 I'm probably going to go ahead and tac on a couple thousand more and go with a bit more HP and tride and true brand. Might be perfectly happy with something cheaper and less power because I'm not farming just have a decent size property that requires a bit more than a garden tractor.

  • @keithrayeski3147
    @keithrayeski3147 2 года назад +2

Branson is on my list as well…Kioti or Branson…but right now, I’ve decided to sit tight and wait for the economy to tank, credit customers are non-existent and tractors are sitting on lots unsold. Then, I’ll stroll in with cash and control will go BACK to the customer. None of these big companies are going away…but dealers are going to suffer, from corporate greed! They could sell the compacts for a much better price and still make huge profits…but they won’t right now, because credit is as easy, so they are making all they can. Customers will get hurt…when they can’t make payments and banks and credit unions end up with lots full of compact tractors! The companies and, some dealers, will live fat, dumb and happy right now…but hurt is coming. And I’ll have cash. Heck, out mid-west, some dealers even throw in trailers!! Not in the northeast…a heater block becomes a dealer incentive! Loaded tires is standard. I’m just going to wait…my cash will not only be better than credit, it will become leverage! Still not sure if it’ll be Kioti, Branson, or YANMAR. But the field narrows.

I've had a Branson 2510h for over 4 years. No problems brush hogging over 5 acres rough, hilly ground.
Had a rear backoe with its own pump so no problem with hydraulic power there.
I leave the brush hog attached all the time - makes it more stable when moving around with a bucket full of dirt or gravel etc
    Very economical diesel engine.
Did my own 50 hour service. Fairly easy.
Local dealer is supposed to do a recall update. Must remind them about that.
I'd buy an electric tractor once they improve running time / battery power etc.
Hate diesel fumes and having to buy and store fuel. Messy.

There is almost ZERO "clanging-banging-rattleling" & No Smoke ,fumes or smell WHAT SO EVER ! My 54hp "kubogy" is the same way! The "under 26hp " class of tractors &some other larger ( UN-DPF & non high pressure common rail fuel injection electronicly controled) tractors are "Rattle-Trap" "Smoke Belchers" & Fuel hogs.

I test drove a 3515 at RJM a week ago. I have researched all the brands you did and wanted to drive the Branson since it's loader capacity is higher than the competition. It had the gear drive shuttle shift transmission and the drivetrain made a lot of noise when moving. Does your tractors drivetrain have slot of gear whine while operating? I drove a Mahindra with same gear drive and was quiet compared to the Branson.
