You’re not alone. Thats actually one of the biggest criticisms she faced in her career. That her live performances are far better and had so much soul and energy that did not translate in her recordings

She is the only celebrity that ever died and brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful performance! Her life ended so tragically. I look at this young, beautiful woman here and see the happiness and joy in her eyes and feel so sorry for her that all of that turned dark in her life. Drug addiction is a thief and steals peoples' lives. But this Whitney, before all of that, was a phenomenal talent and so lovely! No wonder the world fell in love with her.

I remember so well when I heard this song the first time and how I thought "Wow what a voice this lady has!". 1984 to 1986 was a very busy time for me in my personal life. I had so much to do and it took about two years until I first saw a picture of her somewhere and thought "Oh, not only a lovely voice!". She was, is and will always be my favorite singer. She is the only celebrity that ever died and brought tears to my eyes. Since Whitney and I share a birthday on the same date, but I was born years before her she should have never left this world before me. Should I be allowed to enter Heavens gates when my time comes I hope I will have the honor of hearing her singing. R.I.P. Whitney!

I can't there is anyone (past present or 300 yrs from now) who can top this concert performance from her 1986 tour (at the age of 23) Absolutely mesmerizing, scary, beautiful and powerful all at the same time. It's entirely subjective.
