Thanks! I'd be curious to give that a shot as well. I bet there are some other builds with new equipment that can be done to shorten the fight as well, so I'll keep a look out as I collect more equipment.
Another good weapon that also requires 1 critical hit is the wing of astel and its ash of war Nebula. Really good too. But for that one standing at the back of the golem works better so you can hit both legs with the spread.
Using "Flame protection" pyro is very handy here. You can spam heavy attacks between it's legs, jumping from one to another while it's stomping, just stay more behind to keep safe from it's grabs. Also those fire points under rope, back of it's foots seems to be more vunerable ;*
Agreed. I only used the flame grant me strength buff at the beginning too, so using it more frequently may shorten the fight as well. Thankfully, I think the spread of the ghostflames from Death Poker's ash of war can that weak spot under the foot while hitting the other leg at the same time if you angle it right too.
You can definitely survive it with 60 vigor. He's grabbed me atleast 4 times the 2nd time I fought him. One of those fight everything went wrong. But I had the physical defense talisman and fire defense talisman. It took about 3/4 of my health
Yeah, I should have tested it to confirm beforehand since I suspected that too, but just shows how much more OP this build can be when you improve that much more with stats + other talismans
he brushes off my deaths poker 10, kills my mimic tear, then kills me. then I tried mimic tear, deaths poker, and pest threads as did mimic. turned out we were the gnats
@@GuitarNerdist-Solverne aww, just bad at giants with huge health bars... labored over the fire giant too (but even he was easier than this furnace golem). so I was able to finish Elden Ring, though I struggled a lot; I imagine I'm out of my depths with the dlc. old guy, slowed reflexes, familiar story, yada yada
@@DNYLNY Have to do it as he's getting up after his furnace is running again. It won't count if you do it when he is down or too soon before the furnace fired up.

Love the strat but this mf is grabbing me from behind his right leg. Not anywhere near me. Love the bugs and off camera damage we have now. Big brain update to make the game hard 😅
"It will immediately kill you regardless of how much health you have" Speak for yourself lmao, you've got 40 Vigor and nothing defensive on your character. When I get grabbed it's a minor inconvenience. Even with just Flame Protect Me instead of Flame Grant Me Strength, you could probably survive it with 40 Vigor...maybe? (All your damage is magic so you're not getting anything from FGMS anyway) Also, pretty sure Godfrey Icon doesn't affect Ghostflame ignition. The animation may look like it's "charging" but it's not actually a chargeable skill

impenetrable thorns, carian sovereignty, palm blast, and flame spear on a colosal weapon might work for a 1 crit fight. good video

With the dancing blades and dancers set you can easily out damage this as you can use the ash of war very consistently on their legs

This method is great! I was previously using the flail cuz spin chain is amazing against it but the start up frames are so annoying.

If you use the Fingerprint Shield in your off hand, "no skill" fire infused it will negate 100% fire damage. You don't even have to jump anymore
You can survive the grab attack with higher vigor and flame +3 Tasman

They can still be damaged other places and taken down. Just takes forever.
