@@bruh3622 poison and rot perfumers bottles. The martial arts can be set to blood, poison or occult and have a lot of fast attacks so buildup is quick. Didn’t see much otherwise

@@Khrazegaming I snuck up to a guard in Lymgrave guarding the Lordsworn greatsword, did the ash and it went through him. Didn't do damage, no sound and he did not find out I was there
So many references to guts. I'm just happy to have a few irish accents in the game. Lots of irish references in the base game like siofra river. Siofra (she_oh_frah) is irish for fairy. Goal is old irish for jail. Physic is old irish for nutrition/health. Even torrent is a reference to the spirit horse that took the irish pagans across the fog to Tír na nóg(teer-nah-no-g) which was essentially the afterlife
Rellana may be the best case of "playing as the boss" I've seen in a souls-like, barring player enemies. The armor looks amazing, the twin ashes of war let you pull off her most signature, show-stopping moves. The requirements of her swords mean you basically need a dedicated build, but it also happens to be a *lot* of fun. The stat split also allows for access to a pretty decent repertoire of Sorceries and Incantations, with Frenzied Flame Seal and Staff of the Great Beyond being standouts in a "finished" build for NG+.
I am pretty sure that the black steel greathammer passive doesn't scale with the holy affinity, just holy weapon buffs like sacred blade, so you might as well use the heavy affinity on it for better dmg.
I love the Black Knight armor. My favorite chest piece was the Altered Ronin chest, but I farmed the black knights (don't know if they drop the shield or if you get it elsewhere) and the chest looks amazing. Changed into it right away.
I got the shield on that beginning church instead of the hammer. You can farm the shield after the bridge at the beginning on the left side there's a black knight you can farm over and over.
I found a incantation called electrocharge. Calls down lightning thats has lasting aoe and charges attacks. Think its meant for brawler gloves. And also poison hand
@JUDPT walking around wildlife I now realize it does tick damage within proximity and infuses ur attacks with lightning for bout a minute or so. It doesn't stack with flame grant me stenght
The weapons I was most excited for was the backhand blades that gives a cool assassin type vibe and they do not disappoint they are really good. I was also exited for beast claws and dry leaf arts but once I got them they felt underwhelming to me.
How's the damage on them? I am running a dex/arc build and found the weapons yesterday. I was thinking about upgrading them and giving them occult scaling.
@@MrHellweasel well idk how they are going to be for you because I’m max lvl but for me they are good damage for such fast attacks and if you run a frost or bleed build on them with the rotten wing talisman they get 10x better
In my first play through in elden ring base game and entering dlc before radagon and elden beast coming back for them after i finish hunting down my melee arcane weapon that i’m searching for in dlc to compliment mohgs spear and will be back for them with a bang this game is god tier
Stats still matter? I assumed the only reason for runes in the DLC was for buying stuff since the damage is exclusively tied to the DLC leveling system from what I understood.
The best statspread probably will be 40/40/40/40. However strength and dexterity are primary focus. They're very much endgame weapon. Entire combo consume a lot of stamina and ash of war isn't cheap.
@@TylerKadle all the spells. night comet shard shreds a lot of enemies in this DLC as they are rather dodge happy (with a BUNCH of human "invaders" as well) and having healing without red flasks helps a lot too. not to mention the buffs like black flame protection.
Dragon-hunter katana is a disappointment for me. No arc scaling and the weapon art does not penetrate shields. I think the normal great katana (or potentially some of the other great katanas I have not found yet) are better and more versatile.
Dragon Katana weapon art tends to miss a lot if it's not fully charged. Waiting for a patch lol. Btw I wish It had better WA like the slash and few more strikes to poise break.
@@TylerKadle yeah I still use my Rivers of Blood WA to clear a lot's of things even some bosses as it comes out very fast and it's great when bleed procs. I think great katanas are more for tankish build so you can trade hits.

Gotta be honest I’m disappointed with the dlc. The scaling of damage dealt and damage taken is terrible. They have literally made my level 478 character null and void. I get 1/2 shot and do little to no damage even with blessings. Loved Original Elden Ring but I hate the dlc. The scaling and boss fights so far off the mark. Not impressed at all. It’s parked until they fix the scaling and if they don’t fix the scaling then it’s lights out. Another company who does not respect time invested. And they do not want people playing co op. Put this on the product when you sell it to us so we know exactly what we are buying.
I feel you but you really shouldn’t give up and with enough upgrades you will be doing a good amount of damage to bosses but if you really need help just use a mimic and upgrade the mimic as well to make it stronger

@@TrayGolden I am not max but fairly high, 80/80 in dex and arc so should be fairly close to your damage. I will give them a try.

I beat the final boss with the backhand sword, that skill saved me a lot of times to be honest.

Going into this at ng+8 was a bad idea… I’m 60 vigor and that first black knight with the hammer can 2-3 shot me 😳
I'm on just NG and it's the same for me he hits me in 2 with 52 vigor, the scaling is weird but scadutree shards make it a bit more bare able
And THAT is why I held off on NG+ When I heard that DLC was dropping.

Keep in mind that you don't always get the Black Steel Great hammer from that Black Knight, bc he can also drop his Black Steel Great Shield instead.

1) You did not defeat her, your NPC summon did and that don't count.
OR 2) Skill issue. Your eyes betray you as well.

It's now my favorite catacomb in the game tbh, it felt more complete than most of the ones in the base game
The Move where he grabs you and heals himself is so annoying. Stopped trying after 20 tries.
