The 350z only needs a welded diff and a hydrau to drift well. Bucket seats, steering wheel, oil cooler, fancy wheels don't really help...

A contraption that is 100% necessary in any vehicle with a harness because it attaches to your helmet and prevents your neck from snapping forward or to the side in the event of a collision. When you wear a harness your shoulders are held against the seat and thus your neck will snap if you crash. It happened to a friend on the street. I know it looks cool but it is so fucking not worth it

I made a horn in my key by finding the plug under the steering that is connected to the clock spring. Find the pin with the horn power and pull it. Extend that wire to a simple switch and the ground the switch to a piece of metal under the dash or firewall. Super easy 5 min tutorial and would help anyone else be safe on the road. Keep up the progress TJ!

I'm not trying to be a smart-ass, but can you explain to me why people get a quick-release steering wheel? Is it so people won't steal it? Is it more comfortable? What's the appeal?

just if you want to change he wheel easily you can also so people won't change it, also it's normally more comfortable
It's intended to make it easier for the driver to get into the car because normally it would be installed on cars with fixed seats and roll cages so there isn't a lot of room to get into the car.
To make it easier for the driver to get in and out of the car. I have got a fixed back seat and a harness in my miata and with the stock wheel it is incredibly difficult to get in and out, but a quick release makes it much easier.

This car has more than enough power to drift, and the Z platform is expensive to build up for power. Also, he is clearly priming it to be comfortably and tactile for drifting.

There is something severely wrong with the one you have driven then. I have one. The 3.5 LITER has plenty of power. 287 bhp standard is more than enough to brake the tires loose and have a spirited driving car. Ridiculous.
