Felt the same way when i installed my bucket seats. It gives you so much more feeling of the car ! Never want to go back to the original Recaro seats. I have more ''hardcore'' seats than the ones you have and they are still more than comfortable enough. I have the Cobra Suzuka Pro seats.

For a Drift Car i would have gotten a full bucket seat, they hold you so much better trust me! Plus a full bucket will let you sit lower for sure.

Original owner of my Z got katzkin leather on the same stock seats you took out. 9 years later and two owners later the seats are still mint.

Sweet TJ. I just got done installing my Bride seats in my 370z this past weekend.
+Tj Hunt If you want to get harnesses make sure you DO NOT mount the top portion of the harness to the bottom of the seat, they NEED to be mounted to either the rear of the car or roof as mounting them to the floor/back of the seat can snap your back in a crash. Motor Trend is very big on letting people know that because A LOT of people do it. (They suggest mounting to rollcage typically but find your safe mounting method and be safe)
To run a harness you need a roll cage. Anything less is stupid AF.
TNBposse Because it is a 350z and has no backseats he could mount it to the rear of the car pretty safely but without a rollcage harnesses are sketch
+Ambition-pk It's not about mounting location, it's about the car landing on its roof...that's how you die with a harness.
TNBposse Just gonna say go watch motor trends videos where they talk about it. If a car lands on its roof with both mounted to the floor you will just hang, motor trend discusses how mounting incorrectly will snap your back in an accident.
TNBposse Modern cars are designed to not compress like old ones did. Also just another reason to get a cage.

The best thing about watching these 350z vids, is knowing the old owner is watching you do everything he wishes he could have. I imagine him slowly breaking down emotionally while you get ever more excited.
Those spikes help you install the seats to keep tension on the rails while bolting it in. If you put stock seats in you would realize

I put some sparco full buckets in my 350 and the good thing with buckets you have adjustable side mount brackets so you can raise or lower the seat, you can even drop the back and keep the front raised for better adjustment for the driver.Oh and you forgot to mention how to avoid the airbag lights for the seats coming on :)

You can get low sitting rails for your bucket seats, they make a huge difference! I have them in my car
use a non adjustable seat rail. when you get the adjustable ones that are 2 pieces the adjustable part is a set ride height. if you do a seat braket where you cant go forward and backward you can adjust the height.

I still remember when subaruwrxfan was leading in the car/vlog community and that dudeinblue was in the rise.. i remember saying that dudeinblue will pass him easily and he sure did.... Now, after watching Tj from the start, he will soon pass thatdudeinblue. Keep up it up TJ!
Passenger side bracket has to sit higher due to transmission housing. They make lower brackets for the driver side. Check out Planted seat brackets. They make two sets. One that's lower and one that matches the height for the passenger side.
