+Henny Yes it's great on its own, but when someone starts listing the mods that they are planning to do on their car, it's exciting... And especially if the owner mentions that he is planning to track it too.
I never sell any of my cars and my first new car is my 2004 DE 350Z which I still have (duh). I single turbo'd it a year later and it held together just fine. I JUST turned it in last month to tear down the motor for a proper build and I am replacing the old turbo system with a twin turbo one. The car has been absolutely bullet proof. No malfunctions or problems. Even the stock cooling system was good enough for the single turbo and even did well on the track in CA summers (I now live in TX). Yes, HR's make more power but you can still put plenums on the DE and what not plus the DEs were the lightest of the Z before they started getting pretty fucking heavy. I love my DE and even when I had an option to use an HR for my build, I decide to stick with the original and rep the DE! BTW, on 1320videos, there's a 700 horsepower DE laying waste to GT-Rs, Vettes, CTS-Vs and even the Hellcats. So much for the lowly DE, right?

Hey TJ! Can you get the mentor to do a video able whah to look for when buying a 350x
So I have the exact same car. If you do not do the right things to that car you're going to blow the engine quick. I've had mine since 08', and I'm 32 years old so take my word for it.
You need a vented hood, oil cooler, aftermarket rad for sure.
The car needs full exhaust (Heat wrapped), CAI, bigger plenum, LSD, 3.9/4.08 gears, tune, coil overs, suspension parts, racing seat, harness, harness bar, gut the interior, light battery, delete a/c, alignment.
You will love the car, they are way faster after all that. Check out the Tomei Ti exhaust.

CHECK THE OIL EVERY TIME YOU FILL UP THE GAS TANK!!!! Mine is a oil burner but I keep it full of oil and Sasa Anis tuned my car, said it was a good engine. Made 270whp.
Are you talking about the 06 specifically or all 350s?
The cooling mods arent as important on a HR 350z.
The DE's wont last long unless you're good to em'.
+Wu Watt +Wu Watt DE burns a good bit of oil without cooling mods, rev up even more, HRs usually don't burn oil but need cooling mods more than the others so you don't overheat. Im selling my DE because I bought an HR, Could have sold TJ mine, I have even less miles, more mods, and cleaner interior for the same price haha oh well. But yeah all of your mods are spot on, but don't forget massive brakes with ducting is also a must for a serious track car.

It's possible to HR swap a DE so I've considered it. I want a LS3 tho.
I have Stop Tech Aero Rotors (2 piece) with Hawk pads, and stainless lines. Motul 600 fluid. OS Giken Super single clutch too, the car is fast on the track. I can hang with some fast cars. Tires are RS3's 285 18's x4 on Enkei NT-05's 10.5" wide.
I have thought about brake ducts but havent got there yet. The car is on the "shelf" I'm back into dirt bikes.
+Wu Watt right on, yeah it's not worth it to swap the engine to an HR, I bought an entire car lol. But yeah man that's very similar to my set up and I also hang with the big boys, it's a good car when done right

Some states to have salvaged titles... If you register the car with a salvaged title in ny then it becomes clean and then you can resale it for higher price... It's how you wash the title of a car lol I'm not 100% certain on all those details, but if I remember right that's how it works, correct me if I'm wrong

I don't think because it's a base makes it cheap, those cars and the g35 usually go for 8-13k for a mid to good conditions car
