I was once talking about my military history on Facebook and mentioned that I was an Intelligence Officer (specifically, I was a 35D, the "All-Source" Intelligence Officer). Immediately, I had three or four people jumping down my throat about stolen valor and making jokes about how I thought I was James Bond. I wasn't James Bond. I was a paper-pusher. I took other people's intelligence reports and put them together into an overview of the entire cohesive situation and then passed the overview on to my superiors. I entered as a 2nd Lieutenant, and when I left I was a Captain, but all that meant was that I eventually had two lieutenants and a small staff of enlisted working for me doing the same thing: pushing papers. My military career is as boring as cottage cheese. But to hear these guys tell it, I was claiming I was Rambo just because I happened to have an Intel MOS. That's my personal gripe about these assholes above and beyond the disrespect they show to real heroes. Those of us who were legitimately working in Intel but who don't ever claim to have been secret agents because basically we were just office workers are catching hell because of their bullshit.

Maybe notify the authorities if the dude is using the uniform to earn money, but here in Canada, military discounts are really rare.
I'd like to ask you all this: would it be stolen valor if I got my hands on a pair of combat pants from a surplus store and wore them for everyday use? Probably would be important to not wear a military shirt or hat whilst wearing said pants in that case.
I used to wear my old Utility Trousers after I left the Academy for outdoor work and shit. But nowadays I don’t have a use for ‘em since I am on the Fire Department and have shit for work lol. Though general rule of thumb is as long as you don’t wear anything such as ranks, combat patches, or actively try to claim to be something you are not you should be fine.
@@imnapalmsensitive5581 I agree with you on that. For some reason people see any sort of military styled clothing and automatically think Stolen Valor. I was in the store getting groceries for my station’s kitchen once when some Army PFC came up and asked me what my MOS was over my 5.11 TacMed pants which are solid black, cause that is totally military 🙄 then he went on a stolen valor tirade and threatened me, I told him I am in Emergency Services and these are TacMed pants we wear as part of our uniform, and that he could kindly fuck off with his accusations. I myself use my old academy issue trousers for hunting, just because they work and don’t make it necessary for me to buy expensive hunting pants. There are people who freak out over things like that, and I have a lot of buddies who think the whole videoing and calling out of people is somewhat of a clout thing now versus actually getting phonies. A good channel to watch about the whole stolen valor thing is Jamesons Travel’s, he has like one or two videos on it.
Marines get a service stripe for every four years of service. Army gets one for every three. Small hash marks denote six months service in a combat zone for each hash mark.😊
Bruh they can literally join the military as a 42 alpha or a 92 yankee if they wanted to, and if they dont want to do full-time active duty, there are reserves or national guard. It's pretty easy to join as long as you are somewhat physically fit and mentally tough enough to tolerate screaming.

I've seen alot of "Stolen Valor" videos. Some seem scripted. Some I'm wondering if some of these were actually military and medically discharged or weren't in the military, but have some sort of disability. Also wearing a military uniform is not Stolen Valor. Stolen is Valor claiming to have served when you didn't. Military uniform or not. I've even seen it with actual servicemen. Claiming to be a Seal when you're actually a SeaBee.
Exactly, just wearing the uniform and talking out your ass isn’t the crime. If they were arrested they could quickly turn around and say “you’re violating my first amendment right, freedom of speech and expression.” And sue the officer and that PD and cash out.

@@epikmadman5518 the problem is a lot of these kids don't really project the image of actual Operators. Its something that these guys have mentioned before in a previous video on SCP: Overlord. The plan for the now cancelled SCP Final Film that Evan Royalty was making was basically to use only Veterans who were some kind of Operator. Garand Thumb for example being a TAC-P was one of the guys they had contacted. But airsofters aren't always so eager to hear that they are doing things wrong, I know that from being a Ref for 5 years and having to tell 18-21 year olds that they can't blind fire or take off their eye-pro, and frankly if they couldn't listen to basic field rules, some of them probably won't be willing to listen and would rather look "tacticool" than actually do things right. Not saying all Airsofters are like that, but it would be easier to get actual vets like Garand Thumb or even someone like Jet TheDesertFox to partake in this, as many of them are pretty big nerds who would be down.

Just realized on the Jamie fox dude he's rocking an sf long tab between his ribbons, and medals, while rocking the black beret, you wouldn't not be representing your green beret after going through all it takes to earn it, but that's my opinion.
Even in airsoft, I wear the marine uniform. ( no patches but our flag) and my patch is yellow and it reads " CIVILIAN AF" i feel like wearing patches are far worse than wearing BDUs. Thank you for your sacrifice soldiers!. This was hilarious 😂 the balls on these guys..Draft em!

~bangs head against a wall~ Go join the military, then you can wear the uniform with actual pride, dignity, and knowledge of what it takes.
Right sleeve is one stripe for every 6 months overseas, and left is every three years served I believe. Could be wrong on the left sleeve.
I like this format , its much more fun to watch than the other react vids I've seen because on this channel they *keep the videos rolling*. On the other channel there a pause EVERY 5 SECONDS where the person reacting says something, then they resume....PAUSE....bla bla bla...RESUME.....PAUSE...bla bla...RESUME. This style flows much more smoothly and its just like when you have some buddies over to watch some vids where no pausing happens!
The first video is 2 guys in the army acting like they’re stolen valor 😂😂
My brother is in, and has told me they have actually been instructed to keep their service on the DL, with service members being targeted, especially in the last administration.
People that do this are shameless and wreckless.
In the last administration? 45 or 44? The last administration loved the military gave military raises and more money. 44 not so much.
@@battleisreal6593 under 45. People associate the military as part of the “establishment.” There were soldiers in NYC being poisoned and food being tampered with. My brother was stationed near NYC at the time and that’s when he told me they were instructed to keep their service on the DL
The first clip is driving me nuts. Like im losing my mind. I can’t get over it 🤯

How much of pain in the ass did that become?
I bet it is a pain in the ass for explores
What do you guys think about Black Rifle Coffee being exposed as RINO grifters?
Marine here! Parris Island Marine btw. We did get deployed to Haiti in 03 & 04 because of Aristide but that dude is definitely NOT a Marine.
Almost 100k sub mate, congratulation.
So close!
How do you guys feel about people wearing fatigue pants or shirts? Eg without claiming to be a service member.
Totally different situation. That is NEVER an issue.
Kind of sad but nothing wrong with it, just don't claim anything or with the last guy, served in the Army but then say he was a Marine. 😄
“I have a lot of chest muscles “💀😂
"So the enemy's know America is on the way" 😂😂😂🤣
Might be different culture, but unless the guy is wearing tabs from my unit or for an occupation that requires a lot of sacrifice to earn, I would be hard pressed to give a fuck. Maybe notify the authorities if the dude is using the uniform to earn money, but here in Canada, military discounts are really rare.
Despicable, if I was a vet I would call these frauds out too.
I'd like to ask you all this: would it be stolen valor if I got my hands on a pair of combat pants from a surplus store and wore them for everyday use? Probably would be important to not wear a military shirt or hat whilst wearing said pants in that case.
A big difference between wearing something thats camouflage and wearing it as a uniform along with claims of service.
A good channel to watch about the whole stolen valor thing is Jamesons Travel’s, he has like one or two videos on it.
why would anyone wear combat pants outside of deployment? wear something fashionable in civvies. i don't wear work boots outside forest, either.
@@SAVAGEActual lots of thrift shop s sell military surplus uniforms

@@reno3249 I have nothing against Evan Royalty, he has a passion for film-making, but they need to stop using Airsofters.
@@SobaOfPulaski or maybe reach out to any military guys to talk about tactics and teach these "tactical" guys
@@SobaOfPulaski thanks for the info
Hilarity and genius with you both. Keep killing it!
Jason's face was getting so red with these videos. Looked like he wanted to reach through camera and choke those fakes. Several years ago, My friend (who actually served) and my brother and I ran into a stolen valor guy we actually went to high school with. Long story short, my brother and I ripped the uniform off him. We don't tolerate stolen valor where we come from. Our veterans deserve to be respected and honored
