    So I think for some shots the difference was much clearer. But for others, I think it was really hard to tell, which clip came from which camera. I made follow up video to test the cameras with the same lenses for each shot. It is a lot harder to notice the difference here, I think. Go see for your self: ruclips.net/video/Jn2QSUO6o30/видео.html

    wow. I was just choosing which composition I preferred from each image and it was about 50/50. Sometimes I appreciated the color more for the A6000. Could usually spot the texture/focusing difference the a7iii had and preferred that. Pretty crazy comparison considering the price points of each.

      Hi man, Thanks for taking your time to comment on my video. I really appreciate that!! I totally agree with you. I made a follow up video to this one, where i use the same lenses in a more controlled environment, I think the focus/texture becomes even harder to spot here. I believe it just goes to show that camera is just a tool, and if you know your craftmanship you can come a long way even if the tool is eight years old :)

    im very glad its easy to tell the difference because of the price difference but indeed a6000 can almost match on closeups. a6000 sharpness wont matter if u do film filter and make it look vintage

      True. With proper lighting I think it is harder to see also, and if you just to videos for some, the a6000 can get you a long way

    Good comparison. The a6000 is a great value but the a7iii is clearly clearer. I'm considering an a6300 for my occasional video productions, but I keep getting lured by the full frame units. I feel like I should have a bigger sensor camera in my 'arsenal' but I wonder how much I would actually take it out with me because up till now I have been devoted to small cameras. I hate to tie up so much money for that little extra quality. I could spend it on hi-fi! 🤔

      I know what you mean. It would be great to see a comparison on a 4k crop factor against the a7iii. I'm not sure the difference will be that clear.

    So i wanted to pick up the a7ii but i recently just bought both the m50 mkii, and an a6000.
    The brick wall comparison convinced me to wait.
    Instead i’ll use that money to buy some lenses and maybe a heavy tripod and slider.
    Great video.

    Hello there. Let's clear that i am an amateur. I was trying to choose with my criteria and 90% of my chooses was with a6000. I don't know if i am wrong or right, but with my "taste" a6000's images was better. Thank you mate that was a great video.

      Thank you 😊 that is interesting to hear, i think. Spec wise and prize considered it the a6000 is the inferior camera. But in the end taste is subjective, so no wrong or right here :)

    Hey, good video. I’m looking to buy a camera - for now renting a camera until I decide to buy.
    Do you have any recommendations on a camera that’s good for taking photos of people?
    I find that I’m not photogenic on smart phones but I look better and more presentable when I use a GH4 for example.
    Which camera would you recommend that would good for taking portrait shots of people ?
    Thanks for the video. I found the A7iii to be better and I found it easy to identify it in th shots you took.

    • @johannesbgonzalez

      Hey brother!
      Thanks. I made another one inside with optimal lighting, I think it is much harder to see the difference here.
      Regarding your question it of course depends on you budget and the use of it (camera).
      For photos the a6000 is really good I think. But you miss out on some of the newer features cameras have these day, but you save a lot of money. You could also consider the a6100 which has improved color rendering.
      If you want a full Frame the a7iii is more than capable and again the a7iv has some more features, that are nice to have but doest give a better picture in the end.
      If you like the GH4 and the look it gives, you could consider staying with Lumix. I don't know that much about this brand I'm sorry though.
      If I wasn't invested in Sony, I would properly consider fuji, which I think produces some really nice images out of camera.
      I hope this helps you choosing a path to go.

    Wow the diffrence is quite huge actually. I guessed the A7iii images directly while i normally don't tend to see the diffrences between them that much. Did you use the same lens on both camera's or what lenses did you use? It seems you used a less sharper lens on a6000.

    • @johannesbgonzalez
      @johannesbgonzalez  Год назад

      I was actually a bit surprised too. Especially on the first ones. I used a variation of lenses, because I tried to match the focal lengths, so you couldn't tell the camera by the crop. I might make some testing with the same lenses to see if the clear difference persists

    In test number 5 and in the last test, I made mistakes with my answers. In test number 5 the difference is not noticeable, but in the last test, the wheels of the toy car are more detailed on the a6000.

      My first thought, was a yes. But it really depends on what you need the video for. But if I only had the a6000, I would probably upgrade for better video my self. So the conclusion must be a yes.

    people buy more and more expensive and more powerful cameras, but before that they do not fully use their older ones. In the a7iii you can see more differences only in larger portrait close-ups. Better ergonomics is also a fact, but the most important question is whether we need it. Amateurs trade a7iii for a7iv.......

    • @johannesbgonzalez
      @johannesbgonzalez  9 месяцев назад +2

      Absolutely, I completely agree with you! The psychology of upgrading often plays a significant role. It's easy to attribute limitations to your gear when, in reality, honing one's skills and creativity can make a world of difference. Marketing does play a role in convincing us that the latest technology will vastly improve our results, but as you've mentioned, many photographers have proven that older equipment can still produce exceptional results when used skillfully. It's all about the photographer's vision and dedication to their craft. Thanks for sharing your insights! 📸😊

    I know it may not be answered, but in case someone sees it, I am beginner in this world (well, hopefully ill be when I get a camera) and in my country at my budget I can afford either a6000 or the a7mk2 as a very first mirrorless camera, which one would you recommend? It would mostly be used as a landscape photography, night shot stills etc (no videos, no people portraits etc, I like nature, animals, beautiful views etc).

    • @johannesbgonzalez
      @johannesbgonzalez  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi. I would buy an APC-sensor camera if budget was an issue. See if you can get the 6300 or 6400, they are a little better, but the a6000 is still a really capable camera when in comes to photography. The reason i would pick the apc is that the lenses are usually cheaper as well, and you see a lot of people starting out with apc and then switching to full frame so with some luck you can get some good second hand deals on uses apc lenses.
