not sure that the examples you are showing with the description actually matches. Sorry
@@GregorStevenson that's okay it can sometimes be hard to see with the youtube compression. But the theory is still true
Amazing work. So you shot this on the A6000 in 50 or 60fps, then edited it further in post to get even greater slo-mo, right? I cannot get over how smooth it is.
@@MythoscopicArts thanks. Yes that's correct. 60 fps slowed down 40 % to 24 fps. Some of the clips have stabilized with warp stabilizer in post (mostly the ones with the longer focal lenght)
@@johannesbgonzalez Nice. I think because you capped it at 24 fps is why the quality still looks great!
@@MythoscopicArts that would be close to the limit depending on the movement of the subjects in the shot too. If you change the clip to optical flow you can sometime get away with more. If you use warp stabilizer in Premiere Pro. You shall slow it down first, nest it, and then do the stabilizer. This gives the best result.
@@johannesbgonzalez amazing advice, thanks !
Does this work with full frame cameras?
@@boi5697 no. But there is ff equvilant, but without the OSS
You saved the day! I’m going to a concert and using my new phone, which my old pro most filter doesn’t fit. I was bummed out that my video wouldn’t look as good as it normally does. Now I can fix it in post. Thank you!!!

Amazing shots! So dreamy. I want to get into street photography like this one. I’m thinking of this lens vs the sigma 56mm f1.4 and this 30mm sold on me! Thanks for being an inspiration!
I'm glad I could help clarify. You will prolly love the 56mm too though :) The 30mm offers a more "natural to the eye" look, and the 56 will punch in more and give another look. I like both focal lenghts. But I think the 30mm is the safest :)
@@johannesbgonzalezWould you be able to use the 56mm if you were to take the same photos? Or it’s more for portraits?
@@claumiaou on paper it's more of a portrait lens. But I've used this focal length for Street Photography too.
@@johannesbgonzalez thanks for all your responses. It means a lot to hear from experts. Your photos really inspire me. Last question do you think a6100 would be a good camera for a beginner? I don’t want to spend so much on a camera yet knowing I’m still starting.
@@claumiaou of course. That's why I make these kind of videos :) the a6100 is a slightly better version of the a6000 that I use here. It's defiantly good for the money!
It would be better you used black background when displaying your lovely taken photos

Always a pleasure to learn affordable lens for my Sony A6300. Photography is not thé cheapest hobby unfortunatly. Nice review !
Nice information from you, thank you! So in a situation when it's a podcast for two people, they sit relatively close each other and they have both mics individually, better options is stereo recording? Or better is safety track just in case they will start speak at the same time to not have clipping audio?
Hi there! Thank you! That is a good question. I think you are reflecting on the right issue/dilemma. You can go for stereo and make sure you can separate the voices if they overlap. Or you can do safety track in case they suddenly speak very loud. Personally I would go for stereo and if you know on of the person are very loud, I would set the gain a little low and boost it in post.
@@johannesbgonzalez Thank you so much for answer! Once I set my friends in mono and in the end for one person I used backup boom mic because something was a bit wrong.

¡Seguimos creando! 😄
I’m a new beginner with a Sony NEX 7 & it came with a 18-55mm kit lens I am not a photographer so basically I am using it for video streaming & I want to know how much better will the video quality be if I was to upgrade to the $200 Sony SEL 50mm f/1.8 Standard Prime Lens? Because I don’t want to pay $423 for the Sony SEL35F18 35mm f/1.8 Prime Fixed Lens when I only paid $300 for my Sony NEX 7 that looks brand new with no scratches or blemishes
This is not the Sony SEL 50mm 1.8 OSS. This is the full frame equivalent. I haven't used the SEL version, but I have heard good things about it. Just remember with the crop factor of your camera the lens is almost an 85mm lens, which means it is pretty zoomed in.
@@johannesbgonzalezSo are you saying that the Sony - E 50mm F1.8 OSS Portrait Lens is better for video use for my Sony NEX7 mirrorless camera than the regular $230 Sony - FE 50mm F1.8 Standard Lens?
@@HowYouMove I haven't tried that lens. So I cannot really share my thought on it, I'm afraid. But from what I've heard it is better

How do you set up a6000 to have minimal shutter speed of 1/200s?
Try to look here, I explain it in this video: ruclips.net/video/RzsqnuIAA3o/видео.htmlsi=MgSA8TK1A3iQXvv0&t=183
@@johannesbgonzalez I've watched it but there is no minimal ss setting in my a6000. Is there in yours? i've been shooting with this camera for a while and only think that stopped me from using apature priority mode is that my a6000 is defaulting to ss 1/60s before raising iso which is annoying, so I'm shooting manual. I really want to know how you set this up if it's even possible.
@@Sarius59231 you know what. I doesnt have it. I am just so used to have it on my a7iii, so I didnt realise it. you can use the ISO to adjust it. Or as I do - set a max ISO for the camera to use and then use the exposure compensation, which basically does the same ends up changing the shutter speed if you reach the ISO threshold you set.
@@johannesbgonzalez that's what I've been doing. Manual mode with auto iso and mostly the same aperture throughout the whole shooting, so the only thing I'm changing is my ss. I find it to be the best settings for me but I really want to upgrade to a Sony a6400 which has min ss setting. Thanks for the explanation, keep up the good work!
This was so good! Fantastic video, Johannes! I was wondering why my audio was only coming out of one speaker, but I realized I actually had to swap it into Mono.
Hi. I am glad I could help you :) If you are not a sound person, I think the settings can be very confusing and the manuals from Hollyland are very minimal.
I picked up a used A6300 a year or so ago at a swap meet for a couple hundred bucks. I bought it with the hopes that it could be my walk around/street camera. I love it and it would certainly do the job if it weren't for the battery life. My question is how does the A6400 do in terms battery life? My main camera is a Nikon Z6ii and i absolutely love it. But its a bit bigger than i prefer on a four or five hour walk.
Hey. I haven't used the a6400. But the battery life on the sony cameras has gotten better for each model almost, I think. But why not just buy another battery for your 6300? Also set the camera in flight mode if you haven't and perhaps turn off sun light mode for the screen, if you are using that.
Thank you, bro! You saved my day with modes explanations! :)
@@vadymchyk you're welcome 😊
I’m a beginner & I brought the NEX 7 & I wanted to know if the lens is fully compatible with the NEX 7? & will it put out better quality video than the kit lens that comes with the NEX7? I ask these questions because just in case I ever decide to do a upgrade for RUclips streaming I don’t want to spend $1700 for the Sony A7-3 if it’s not necessary you feel what I’m saying? I just want to make the best video quality with the NEX7
Hi I understand your thoughts. The Sony NEX-7 is a great mirrorless camera, especially for someone starting out with photography or video creation. To help you make the best decision regarding your lens and video quality, let's break down your questions. The Sony NEX-7 uses the Sony E-mount system, so any lens with an E-mount will be fully compatible with your camera. However, the NEX-7 has an APS-C sensor, so if you use full-frame E-mount lenses (often labeled as FE lenses), they will work, but the field of view will be cropped by a factor of 1.5x. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it’s something to keep in mind, especially if you're considering focal lengths. For a more visual explanation, you can watch this: ruclips.net/video/qBn1bWZiu9A/видео.html The kit lens that typically comes with the NEX-7 is the Sony 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS. It's a versatile lens and good for general-purpose shooting, but it’s not the sharpest or fastest lens available. If you want better video quality, upgrading the lens can make a difference. The Sony 35mm f/1.8 OSS is made for APC-sensor cameras, so it will work with the NEX 7. It is a great upgrade for video. It’s sharp, has optical image stabilization (OSS), and a wide aperture (f/1.8), which is excellent for low-light shooting and creating a shallow depth of field (blurry background).
what would be the best quality for taking pictures at sports games
