About Big Slick
Big Slick started in 2010 as a celebrity poker tournament and party hosted by Kansas City natives and comedic actors Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd and Jason Sudeikis to raise money for Children’s Mercy Kansas City. Each year, Riggle, Rudd and Sudeikis invite celebrity friends to participate in the weekend; alumni from years past include Selena Gomez, Will Ferrell, Jon Hamm, Olivia Wilde, Johnny Knoxville, John Oliver and many others. Big Slick alumni David Koechner and Eric Stonestreet joined Riggle, Rudd and Sudeikis as official Big Slick co-hosts in 2014.
Having recently completed the 10th Anniversary Big Slick Celebrity weekend Big Slick has donated more than $10 million to Children’s Mercy, helping the non-profit hospital explore the benefits of genomics and personalized medicine in cancer treatment, expand its Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and family/play rooms; add entertainment systems to every oncology hospital room; and purchase more than $500K in advanced early detection equipment.
*Richard Christy from Death
Iced Earth*
Charred walls of the damned*
Christian Campbell Control Denied*
Incredible drumming in Death.
Springfield's finest RC.
I don't think the audience realized how good he is.
No one cares thats the problem man. It just sounds like a lot of banging lol. Where's the soul? Where's the groove? He is like an Yngwie Malmsteen for drums. Great guitar player but who gives a flying hoot?
@@crunkalac man you wrong about him - he was one of the most talented death metal drummers on the planet, just listen to Scavenger of Human Sorrow or Spirit Crusher by Death - so much grove, accents, power, it's the definition of what metal drumming is. Here he is obviously out of form here because he is not a drummer in the first place now
So he needs a band with him to sound good enough for you? Who cares? He is an awesome drummer.
a real drummer can see hes amazing .... That's not just banging on drums his footwork is incredible
Mattakusisgreatness dumbass hahahah. stfu with that "soul" shit
Richard Christy doesn’t get enough attention as he should. His drumming on The Sound Of Perseverance is amazing. Some of the best drumming I’ve ever heard in my life. Also wtf is Patrick Mahomes doing there hahaha.
lol - i guess it's a Kansas City event - so some local athletes were in attendance
I bet richard LOVED mahomes hearing him drummin, this guys so awesome, he gets to do his favourite thing in front of his favourite athlete

To understand how good he is, just listen to the album _The Sound Of Perseverance_ by Death.
Michael Michaels unmatchable performance on that recording still today.
@@svtwrc indeed it was!
One of the best metal albums of all time
Best death album for sure
Even better than symbolic
You have to understand how special Richard Christie is. He tries to get into the greatest death metal band of all-time, one of the best metal bands, period, of all-time, playing for one of the greatest musical minds of all-time, Chuck Schuldiner . . . and he gets the job. He just comes out of nowhere and ends up giving one of the all-time great performances on Chuck's final masterpiece, one of the greatest metal albums of all-time. To do something like that once is amazing. But then he decides, hey, I think I'll go try to be funny and work for Howard Stern, "The King of All Media," the greatest radio guy of all-time . . . and he gets the job. He becomes a big part of the show. Do you realize how remarkable it is that he accomplished both of these things? It's miraculous. The guy is a savant.
Especially as how Howard couldn't care (and didn't even know about) Richard's "celebrity" status or musicianship when he was hired for the HSS. He got that gig strictly on this comedic talent. Richard's my faaaavorite.
Well said. Perfectly said.
Heeeeyyy, he also had a pet calf called calfy
I've been watching Christy for years, but he's not just a savant. He is an idiot savant
Yea he is an amazing talented person.
It hurts me inside that only a few of the people in that crowd understand how brilliant Richard is.
Same. Like that’s Richard Christy from Death🥺
1:07 and no one understands that’s a Mickey Dee King Diamond drum intro he just played.
@@Huddle_House56see, I knew I recognised it! Painkiller was a given, of course
Hi Rich, this is Dad. Caught a snappin turtle today, gonna have turtle stew tonight. Got some bad news, they closed the Taco Tiko down... So no more Taco Tiko. Ok well, talk to ya later Bub.
@Diocletian hahahaha
I read it in the artie pretends to be Richard's father voice
Todd T haha same
Is this true or was I whoooooshed?
@@toddt. yep, me too. . . lmao
Richards performance on the death live in L.A is incredible especially that snare.
Yes, absolutely!
Who's "Death" asks everyone

He's my favorite
You can't have 20 favorites
He's my faaaaaaaaavoooooourite
Jesus that was good. Ethel sure knows how to slap the skins
🤣😂
I think that's his grandson, Rust. I can tell by the way he keeps pumpin off all over the drum kit I got for sale, just got a little jizz on it.
✖️is very impressed
That's actually Rusty Pecker.
Is the wheel barrel still available? Or…
Love how he goes from welcome home to painkiller, made me love him even more.
1:12 he plays tge intro to painkiller.
That's because he played the cover on Death's The Sound Of Perseverance (last song from the album).
@@Michael_Michaels That's right
holy shit thats so cool, did not get the chance to see them perform the track live but even a slight glimpse of it...
And Welcome Home by King Diamond 1:03
@@Michael_Michaels gonna go check that out now, cheers man
Most people in the crowd don't know that they are watching a death metal pioneer performing for them. Sad and funny at the same time.
Crazy that Richard is genuinely considered one of the top metal drummers of all time...
and that is not even what he is best known for.
He is one of the top drummers, nothing crazy about him being considered as such: ruclips.net/video/5W94YBsqIis/видео.html
This dude killed it on Death's sound of perseverance album.
Listen to Control Denied too, the evolution of Death \m/ (not shitting on Death, far from it...)

Crazy people know him from howard stern primarily, not knowing hes easily one of the best metal and drummers ever and drummers in general
Absolutely painful to watch. RC is one of the best metal drummers in the world. This was completely lost on the audience. smh
I agree I bet they all thought "he plays similarly to Lars Ulrich,or Meg White"
@@sticksman7819 these people wouldnt even know Lars lmao
The drums are without a doubt the hardest instrument to master in a band.
True skill, completely amazing!
Thats a big big misconception. I can play both guitar and drums and It totally depends on the type band/genres. Some bands have easier guitars and some easier drums.
Nope... I play drums and guitar for me is 1000 harder... I think it comes down to personal preference and ability.
ruclips.net/video/5W94YBsqIis/видео.html
lol the painkiller part hahaha, I didn't expect the unexpected xd
"Yes is this tradio? Yea this is Ethel and I got my beef flaps caught in a belt sander *click* hello?"
The hello is the best part 🤣🤣
Miss you Richard love from Springfield Mo Bro
I knew Richard could play, but holy shit! His double kick is one of the best I’ve heard ever.
he's fucking insane
Love me some Richard. Death live in LA. Great video of Richard killing it.
This is my favorite
*GOD-LIKE PERFORMANCE ON THE SOUND OF PERSEVERANCE*
The man's a genius. To fill the shoes of Sean Reinert and Gene Hoglan and completely knocking it out of the park...it cannot be overstated how incredible that is.
Spirit Crusher will forever be my drum pinnacle.
Everyone here talking about his work on Sound of Perseverance, but his work on 'Horror Show' and 'The Glorious Burden' by Iced Earth is some of the most underrated drumming in Heavy Metal. Same with Charred Walls of The Damned
His drumming was perfection on Horror Show
Check out his drumming with Burning inside
ruclips.net/video/5W94YBsqIis/видео.html ...his drumming with Burning Inside.
Once a Monster,always a Monster...Richard is amazing!
They don’t understand they’re in the presence of greatness 🙌🙌
You can definitely tell Howard Sterns relevancy here... 3 people out of 17,000 knew who Richard was.
I flipping LOVE Richard.. loved him since 2004ish. Richard and Sal Governale are amazing comedians. They both should have left that STALE DEAD IN THE WATER Stern Show 5 plus years ago!!!
this is my faaaaavorite
My hands are getting blisters just watching this :o)
That’s my faaavorite
Love this till DEATH. Forever.
LOL he plays King Diamond - Welcome Home, then Painkiller 🤘
None of these normal people know how much a living drum legend this guy is , especially in the metal scene . Sad to see these people not bowing down to the master
Sabertooth 82 Sound of Perseverance by death , listen to that album you wolly and lets see if any drummer can do that
ruclips.net/video/5W94YBsqIis/видео.html
Love you Richard Christie. Inspiring. If I had a kid I would make him or her take up drums because of this.
ruclips.net/video/5W94YBsqIis/видео.html
Patrick Mahomes looks like a jerk to be sitting on the couch on his phone when Richard is playing, not even giving him any attention at all.
Agreed 100%.
my number one on drums !!!
Heees my faaavorite
One of largely unknown greasiest drummers ever bringing farm strength to drumming and diapers to mosh pits...Richard is die hard and the man
richard as good as ever. can't wait for the next CWOTD
My god the audience was pathetic and 80% of them had no idea who Richard Christy was.
Richard Christy is a master level drummer...🤘
my primal drum machine , my favorite drummer!
He is far from his prime thats for sure but he is an amazing drummer.. The sound of perseverance's record was killer. Master of cymbals
Yea he used to be a lot better but he was probably drunk here
ruclips.net/video/5W94YBsqIis/видео.html
Insane, good stuff🥁🤘🏻...also phenomenal drumming back in the day with Death.
These people have zero idea how fucking amazing Richard is. Made one of the greatest metal records of all time with Death.
I will always know him as Richard christy from iced Earth
These people in the audience don't deserve him
My favorite drummer ever!
One of the greatest drummers in the world actually….
That's my grandson Rusty
He's a hungry boy
He just learned to pump off
1:51 Lame-o on his phone thinks he's just your run of the mill fast drummer but he will never understand Richie's god-given talent.
My favourite!!!...
@1:04 Welcome Home King Diamond
Nicholas Santangelo painkiller was right after that
GRANDMAAAAAAAAA
He is a beast on the drums!!!
Richard Christy they did it. Richard we did it. We are going to the Super Bowl. Man you were like 40 the first time they went plus 50 years. Richard Christy is 90 years freaking old. That guy is METAL
I heard pain killer in there and imidiatly Chuck Shuldiners scream entered my brain ❤ rip Chuck!
This guy can still killing it on the drums!!!
Legendary drummer who somehow went to talk radio...
RICHARD FUCKING CHRISTY.
Oooo he did a little King Diamond, a little Priest lol. Too cool.
I first saw Richard live when he was with Public Assassin back in '92. He was killer then and only got better through the years. He's a beast!
God man, most people know him from the Howard stern show, but this dude is ones of the baddest metal drummers out there, iced earth and his best work with Death!!!!!
He's really good. Clean and tight drumming
Loved that little bit of Welcome Home he threw in there among other things!
Amazing Richard!!!
Mahomes was not liking this, but Kelce loved it!
Why won't Howard give Richard respect for his drumming..? He'll brush over it once in a while says he good following a put down... Richard you are an amazing drummer bro.. You come from an a amazing family.. We will drink beer together someday....
how is this guy making phoney phone calls instead of drumming..... HE'S A FUKIN BEAST
He does both like a pro
Hey it’s Romeo Blues from Texas
I wish that video of him titled “Frost” was still up. That was the craziest shit I’ve ever seen by this animal….I hope it’s not lost forever
Rich whippin out the intro to painkiller to a bunch of unsuspecting people makes me feel preeeeeeeetttty good
The guy is just drunk and messing around. Watch some live videos of the band "Death" from the late 90's and you'll really see Rich in action.
His work on Death's final album is insane
Horror Show by iced Earth is the band’s best album and Richard was the best drummer they ever had. My only criticism of him is he just can’t get away from that double bass drum.
You know what the funniest thing is? Richard Christy once cooked a pile of shit overseas, just fer shits and giggles, but no one was laughing when it was done.. He's my most favorite musician of all time..
Richard , strait up BeAsT
En Chile estaríamos haciendo mosh.
Richard Cristy is a fucking legend
Richard...this is your dad. You did great...go Chief's
1:11 I'm pretty sure he started playing Painkiller by Judas Priest.
Rusty can really wail on those things!
Hey bub you play metal that’s good love ya bub
He is so good.
The greatest drum parts I ever heard were on the last Death album and Control Denied. Dude is a beast.
ruclips.net/video/5W94YBsqIis/видео.html
Hey there jack it’s Ethel calling
Howard Stern show is like the lowest of this guy's credentials.
I believe that would be his credit as a Klansman in Harold and Kumar.
@@christiancampbell3430 all I am saying is , the guy is one of the greatest drummers ever.
Just Someguy you’re absolutely correct
wow, that audience is pretty insane .. . and omg, i thought that was Tim Sabien(sp?) announcing. until i read the description . .lmao
1:03 Welcome Home by King Diamond
he really doesn't get the credit he deserves as a drummer. The Sound of Perseverance album has some amazing drumming
Thats my faayyyvorite
Richard is such a badass. That shits not the easiest thing in the world to do. 🤘
ruclips.net/video/5W94YBsqIis/видео.html
Rusty going off
I hate how he's simply referred to as "Richard Christy from the Howard Stern show". That's flat out insulting
I heard hes gonna be on the "Jack and Rod" show??!!!! And doing a drum workshop on Swap shop!!! All right bub, talk to ya later.
Drum solos are like chain saw juggling, at first it's cool, but after a while it's like, come on man.
3:21 little Bleed moment 😂
He is one of the greatest metal drummers. His work with Death is incredibile
1:12 painkiller intro
scavenger of human sorrow xD
1:04 Welcome Home - King Diamond
1:13 Painkiller - Judas Priest
Fuckin’ killer!!!
