yeah some people might not like it but i think it's better backwards because it comes off as if dark magic has its own language, much like primal magic does.
I like to think that this is due to fact that main villain was always shown to us from other side of a mirror. It's just simple words, only in reverse, like from the reflection of the mirror
no dark magic in this show comes from living life usually magicical but shes using that staff now instead of magical monsters her hair turning white shows how much shes used so much of her own life force
Is dark magic related to animal or life magic?? Cause that's the pattern I've been seeing here and that I don't have netflix and only watch bits of here and there on RUclips, but Claudia's shape shifting magic is amazing I mean she got wings and the snake thing and that one time she turned binds into snakes too.
A bit yes. Dark magic requires the souls or essence of living things. The more powerful the creature, the more powerful the magic. And specific Parts can give you specific Magic. Dragons and Elves don't like dark magic even though they both consumed meat to sustain their lives.
@@serronserron1320 Dark magic corrupts the body. Also dark magic is a cheat. Its all reward without the work in a way. Callum shows that it is possible for humans in Xida to use other forms of magic. Hopefully they don't retcon him being a half elf or something.
Dark magic is tapping into the magical connections of other beings and items. We have never seen it used without components of some form or another. Compare that to the other types of magic where casters tap directly into the Arcanum through their own connections. For Dark Magic to work, you need to have something with a direct connection to the type of magic you wish to use. The more intrinsically connected, the more powerful the spell. Take for instance the need for a Magma Titan's heart to cast a powerful spell that would bring heat and fertility to the land in order to grow food. More often than not, Dark magic uses living things. But every once in a while, something else may be a part of the spell. The important part is that it's connecting to an Arcanum through indirect means.
@@Mord12gp It's not at all Cheating you have to hunt down or collect the ingredients necessary for a spell instead of just naturally calling on abilities within you. It has a toll on people who are not strong enough to handle it. But it seems to be a bit more powerful than other forms of magic.
Honestly the word cringe at this point has lost all meaning. Now it's just a term for any jackass to use to describe something they don't like whether it be a show, book, word, etc.
I lost it.
Claudia drings snake potion: *Evil sounding words*
Actual words: "Make a snake"
"Make a snake shake"? lmao
i was not expecting that lol
Oh, I thought she said "make a snake shape". Odd.
Well, she's over 18 now, so I won't kinkshame ^^
Me either that sounds nasty 😂
that sounds like something Claudia would say, lol.
“chrysalis Child emerge from your cosmic ooze.”😂
I just love how the the dark spells are backwords

@@chaaaargh Primal magic is either straight up Latin or Latin words mixmatched
It makes sense. Dark magic is essentially a perversion of primal magic.
So, Zatana is evil?
@@dylanv2559 i thought that was kinda obvious lol. since many fantasy stuff uses latin as some in-world language. in this case for tdp, it's draconic

OH THAT'S GENIUS
I was thinking something like that!
I think the fact that the incantations are so simple is part of what makes dark magic what it is
It's supposed to be the quick and easy path
I am not gonna lie, that "Make a snake shake" one was pretty weak.
I think it's "shape" not "shake" 🤔.
Her saying magic words backwards gives me Zatanna vibes
Dark Zatanna perhaps??
Maybe she uses dark magic
Dark magic is technically from original magic so sure?
@@dustovia I mean she is saying magic words backwards like Zatanna does

Kinda, but yes
It is still clever talking backwards. It is how they came up with the language of dark magic
I was actually searching for this almost 7 days ago, the day this got uploaded XD
Finally, someone else realized
It sounds like sims language

Still the most cringe inducing element of the show to be honest.
