Manners maketh man. Good manners NEVER go out of style and they make you stand out from others. Clothes are a style that you WEAR, manners are a style that you ARE.
Displaying good manners not only to your "betters" and equals but to people in service positions: your waiter, the store clerk, the person who parks your car or cleans your hotel room.
Style tip number 10: It's all about the confidence, the attitude, and the charisma. Wear whatever you want, but at the end of the day, wear it with absolute poise - you're a man!
I was alway taught that "Posture is perhaps the one thing that will make a man stand out regardless of dress". Shoulders back. and head held High. " Think smart" and look the part.
You are absolutely 110% correct. Confidence. Which is a catch all for manners, poise, grooming etc. Is the key to walking into a room and commanding it, if you choose to. You can wear the most bespoke suit in the world. But if you behave like an asshole. Guess what? You’re an asshole in a nice suit. My wife and I have gone from dressing like socialites to dressing ‘down’ to fit the crowd. It’s a safety thing. The dynamics of the city we live in has changed over the past few years. And it isn’t safe to stand out anymore. But guess what, because we have the really good manners. We still stick out like sore thumbs. We still get excellent service respect etc wherever we go.
I think one of the most important things I've taken from this channel (not kings men) is that you HAVE TO be ready to make adjustments as you evolve in your style. When I first started having to step into this dress code I knew I needed help. I began following your channel and looking for what worked for me. I thought that a full break was the best thing since sliced bread and my "tapered" pants were just TOO tapered with the thigh being looser than it should've. Now I have a more straightened cut on my pants (though they are still slightly tapered) but throughout the process I had to revisit my tailor and communicate the look exactly how I desired it. I felt like giving up a few times, thinking to myself, those looks are just out of my budget. Once I found the right numbers (measurements) for my body I was set! And the whole time I've been following your channel looking to see if there were tips. I appreciate this channel like you couldn't believe. My personal growth has been outstanding and I owe it, in part, to the advice I followed from your channel.
I have even more respect for this channel now because of your military service, I’m a cadet in RCAC and I love watching your videos. They always helps me out whenever I need help with what to wear or how to wear something. Especially because I have prom coming up, I’ve been binge watching your videos back to back just so that I can impress my date.
My favorite style tip from the movie (aside from being the lead-up to the most badass scene of the 1st act) was "manners maketh man". They constantly reinforce the idea of being a gentleman, not only in how you dress but in how you act and treat others. Definitely things that are sorely missing in culture nowadays (hint: would love to see a video about those lol)
I now really appreciate a man in a well tailored suit. I never realized how much really went into the entire package. Thank you for such an informative video. I look forward to watching what else you bring out. And, thank you so very much for your service to our country and to men learning how to look their best.
Great video! I learned a lot from this movie about bespoke suits, oxford shoes, signet rings etc. and I really appreciate you taking a more examined look at their excellent style in the movie. The little tidbit of history about neckties was really interesting and now I'm thinking I may need to put a custom tie on my Christmas wish list patterned after my university, my college fraternity, or even my family coat of arms. The style tip I would add is: How the Kingsmen carried themselves. The word that appears most frequently in the movie's dialogue is the word "gentleman" and that's exactly what a Kingsman is... a quintissential gentleman. As Harry Hart puts it, "Manners Maketh Man"
The glasses along with the clean shave make for a very unassuming, boyish look, and I think a lot of the charm comes from seeing this image engaged in such action packed scenes. As far as function, dressing in this way can create a sort of "grey man" effect, where you will be perceived (wrongly so) as less of a threat, thereby disguising your intentions.
I wish they would do more movies that place emphasis on men's style. I've made it a tradition to always where my best to movies like this. For Bond movies, Usually Crombie or Stanley Ley (Bespoke of course). For the first Kingsman it was Oswald Boateng, for Golden Circle which I saw today it was a double breasted grey pinstriped bespoke Ralph Lauren. Always great fun and always get approached before and after the screenings, try it you'll be surprised at the response.
This movie was good and the second one too. The style is impeccable. I wear suits everyday for my job and it does go a long way. Everytime this movie comes on TV I watch it. I have been up on style for men and this movie touches on thing that are important as far as men style .
Every time I watch a video of yours I learn something.great I wish had already known. I think this is the first video I have ever seen that actually showed and spoke about the differences between British, Italian and American suits. Well done!
Hey Antonio... I also include in my wardrobe the following: (1) Always carry the best pen you can afford... (2) Have a SECOND handkerchief made of soft high-weave-count cotton (folded into a square) and kept in your inner pocket to be able to offer a lady... (3) If you wear glasses I recommend having a soft leather glasses case in your briefcase to put it in in case you have to take it off... (4) Put on perfume and deodorant BEFORE you dress and allow it to dry before putting on your clothes... (5) Have a small moustache / beard comb to regularly groom your beard or moustache after meals and before going into meetings... (6) Ensure your fingernails are always groomed and clean... (7) Wash your face, your ears, comb your eyebrows and manscape your nose hair... If you haven't done this video yet can you please do one on how to achieve a proper military shine on dress shoes?
The deodorant and perfume advice is very important! Also, many young men seem to have a misunderstanding about deodorants. Many think that you're supposed to apply deodorant after sweating to cover the smell, but that is wrong. Deodorant is applied after showering and it prevents odor from transpiration. In addition to that, many use deodorant as perfume. It is much better to get a deodorant with a mild or no scent (sticks or roll-ons are better than spray too) and use a nice perfume. In the worst case, people use too much of a deodorant with a strong scent and apply perfume as well and the two scents don't mix well. Therefore a deodorant stick without much fragrance is the best choice.
I usually wear a suit ones a week and I usually like to send a message with my body posture. I feel like that's a good way to represent who you are and what you are showing.
The number one style tip I get from the characters is physique. You don’t have to get into some crazy fringe diet. Make small choices each day to change your lifestyle-that is how you change your body and ultimately your life. Putting those great clothes on a fit body will make the wearer that much more proud of their overall look. Designers make the clothes, but you make the body the way you want it! Great channel with solid advice 👍
Great tips. I loved how even the streetwear style at the start of Kingsman 1 was well done. Looking forward to seeing more casual American styles in the sequel.
I will say this. I'm 14 but I've been with this channel a wile. And these tips, and tricks, and grooming tips have changed my life. Not to brag, at all, but my friends and family have looked at me and said, you dress proper, and you are very proper with your attitude. And I tell them, thank Antonio for this check out his channel. And because of this my friends and I have been dressing and grooming well, and our attitude is in tact. To this I say thank you Antonio.
John goes for a Slim Italian fit with an Elastane - Wool blend which allows him to move, You can do backflips and the splits in those suits. Google "The Stretch Suit" they're about 400 USD but need to be tailored, John lines it with Kevlar which you cannot afford, trust me.
I always receive praises when I take out my double-breasted suits for that important day at work. I also do agree that accessories like the right tie, watch, pocket square, cuff-links, and may I add, a fountain pen, make all the difference in your look, but they do not replace attitude and confidence. One needs both. Thanks for the video and effort to help us average guys out there look nicer. A lot nicer. Cheers.
Yes, and especially the ones that don't wash their feet or change and wash their socks! Deadlier than a single blade! Will wipe out a whole room of people....
The only thing I would add to it is skincare Kingsmen always looks as if they take care of their skin by moisturising . A great video well put together well done
One thing I've added to my wardrobe is western boots. I love them! I used to ride horses and do a lot of ranch work as a kid/pre-teen but took left that lifestyle when I began to go to high school. Out of high school now, I've bought two new pairs of boots an literally wear them with every outfit unless of course it's something physical like going to the gym, obviously. But definitely wear them when I'm wearing denim or when I'm riding ocassionaly. I own a pair of burgandy 12 inch boots as well as a lizard patterned black 13 inch shaft boot that I wear with my black, charcoal or navy suits. I'm looking at adding a third boot which will be a Lucchese 13 inch brown/tan boot. Defintely a fashion statement from the Statesman in this movie, no pun intended.
This video is an absolute gem. So much great advice packed into such a short well done video. Manners and Hygiene are all that are left to add. I have never noticed the stripe direction on a tie before. I will now.
From my years of service in the public, I have noticed different uniforms that show different tie knots. Which tie knot you use contemplates how well your dress shirt will look and it also makes a big difference on your collar. 85% of people notice from your shoulders up when they are talking to you and the tie knot is strictly in the middle. So the question comes down to, which tie know is best with this collar and shirt. Full Windsor Knot or Half Windsor Knot?
This is one of my favorite movies as far as style is concerned. As a heavier guy it's a tad bit more difficult to pull off the British Secret Agent look but It's truly a thing of beauty.
One thing I liked about this second movie is that they stepped up the bad guys outfits and made the Kingsman even better to win the style battle. In the first movie, I noticed specially the other candidates to be a Kingsman just looked like they were wearing their grandpa's blazer so the well fitting suit is a easy win for Harry, Eggsy and co. On this second movie, Angel and the other guy he killed(can't remember the name), the president and even Poppy herself had really good style choices so they stepped up the main heroes style and it was awesome.
I still can't believe this was the first video I saw from the channel, two days after seeing the movie and I found it by accident I don't regret that I saw this and still follow you to this day Cheering you from Chile
Can you make a video on the differences between Y style and V style double breasted suits as its hard to find good information between the two. And absolutely I love Y style double breasted suits as I already have severals single breasted suit.
Old video I know but my No. 10: Carry your tools; pocket knife, handkerchief, pen, etc. We seem to have gone away from these staples of a gentleman's daily gear and in truth these are the tools one uses to be of service to others in small ways every day. Here again, good quality lasts and is a pleasure to use yourself and when you use it to help others it shows you are a person of substance which coveys credibility and trust.
BROGAINS Fitness oxfords in general refers to plane oxfords or balmoral oxfords whereas while saying brogues no one usually cares about them being oxfords or derbies all that matters is perforation and oxfords are much more formal than brogues even Antonio has a video about it
I was just watching the Kingsman collection on Mr Porter when it comes the notification of this video. Amazing! Antonio, I highly suggest you to watch Kingsman the golden circle, you will love it. For n10, I'd say "being at ease in one's own skin" ;)
I would like to take my time and write a thank you sir. You were like my father figure when it comes to suits and ties and executing them. I grew up with parents away so I mostly learn from strangers, I am now a working student who get to work a job with meeting VIPs and CEOs and I always remember you and thank you in my mind when I wear properly in front of them. Favorite vids are executing proper wear without buying/using branded clothes.
Kingsman is based on the Saville Row store of Huntsman, which created all the suits for the film. The Row has the world's best bespoke tailors. I would like to have a suit made there one day.
Fox Umbrellas is a great place to go if anyone is looking for the British style of umbrellas. They can get into the hundreds of dollars but it's affordable luxury that both feels great and functionally perfect. I bought a 10 rib telescopic umbrella that costed more than I ever thought to spend on something so basic but gosh does it feel great to carry.
Great points. I'd say also make sure you keep yourself clean and be sure to brush your teeth regularly. I can't stress the importance of them both. You can learn to tie full and half Windsor knots right here on youtube. There are a number of self-help tutorials. Personally, I think a French cut at the bottom of a pair of suit pant legs looks better than the normal straight cut. The slight angle down towards the heel makes sure there is no "high water" effect, and I think it simply looks better. It's always best to get your suit fitted by a tailor.
Between you and Gentleman’s Gazette there’s no need for any other channel or anything else. Both of you provide such a wealth of knowledge concerning all things men’s style that I feel fortunate to have access to it. I do tend to lean more towards you though and I can’t quite put my finger on it other than military service. I KNOW beyond doubt that a tour of service in the military, especially certain branches, gives a man a degree of confidence that can not be had anywhere else. I see that in you and I subconsciously respond to it in a positive way. I won’t claim to know your motives for doing this channel with 100% effort and devil dog persistence but I will say thank you for doing so. You are helping an entire generation of men “be all they can be” lol pun intended even if it’s the incorrect branch lol Cheers mate
I often hope that looking good and classic looks don't fade away, but it seems there still is a real interest in it. I do attribute the likes of The Kingsman in keeping this sort of thing alive, especially for men who have found that there is an ever-narrowing space for them. Whether it's a Groom's Dinner or a night at the Nutcracker with your daughter, looking classically good has its place.
One of the things i notice is the air of confidence which no matter how they are dressed they pull it off as someone who is someone. Its the way they walk, talk and act that shows i've arrived and I'm somebody.
When I was first introduced to Pierce Brosnan by the TV show Remington Steel. He was the epitome of James Bond for me. He was the guy I pictured every time I read about 007 . Even though I'm a huge fan of Sir Sean Connery, rest his soul. Brosnan just did it for me, and I'm not surprised he was at the top of your list as well.
Brilliant video, only one thing, the tie seen in the film although seemingly Blue, White and Red is actually Navy, with a Large Light Pink stripe and a smaller Dark Brown stripe through the pink.
This is the type of video that should be sponsored by the movie (not sure if it is). You're promoting the movie in a very relevant, informative, and indirect way
OWN IT, OWN IT, OWN IT, I won't step out of the space in my dwelling until I feel it's a perfect fit for the moment, practice until you master it. More videos like this, job well done.Next video, dressing for the four seasons, thanks."EVERY WISH FULFILLED" E.T.
Not sure if anyone has commented this as its an old video, but the suits are made by Huntsman of Savile Row in collaboration with Mr.Porte, everything you see them wear is bespoke, the suits and shoes, even the glasses are bespoke.
Which outfit are you stealing from The Kingsman?

I am going to invest in the right accessory.
Real Men Real Style Antonio, please do a NBC Hannibal Video. Thank you
Real Men Real Style I think that your channel is amazing!!! In regards to what else I would add is maybe how to obtain some of the items in the movie
“Being noble is not about being superior to your fellow men. True nobility is being superior to your former self.”
Love this!
10 points for Ernest Hemingway.
“Words to live by Eggsy, words to live by”
Absolutely !
So... if you looked terrible and now you only look half as terrible, that makes you noble?
Tip 10 (in my opinion): Smell nice, be aware to your hygiene. A good looking suit is nothing if you smell horrible.
A Marine! Love this Guy!!!
Pretty obvious
Tip 10: Hygiene
Tip 11: Manners, dignity respect. Im sure we all know:

I agree, you can look amazing and still smell bad, trust me guys women love great smelling gentlemen.
@@anthonyreed3682 dude why talk about women? Like without women u need to smell good, have some dignity

This video is an absolute gem. So much great advice packed into such a short well done video. Manners and Hygiene are all that are left to add. I have never noticed the stripe direction on a tie before. I will now.
Finally!! The Kingsman video! 👍
Accesoirs
It would be nice to see more style and fits for people of Latin and African decent. But i really enjoy learning from your channel.
Never tie a half it's sloppy.
Funny how you see politicians wearing a half & news casters wearing a full?
It should be the other way around.
This is one of my favorite movies as far as style is concerned. As a heavier guy it's a tad bit more difficult to pull off the British Secret Agent look but It's truly a thing of beauty.
Star jumps?
Hah! Gotta looovvve this video!
Mayank! Great seeing you here.
You here 😀❤️
One thing I liked about this second movie is that they stepped up the bad guys outfits and made the Kingsman even better to win the style battle.
Posture, both walking and sitting can convey more than a costume.
And all this wisdom is free. Doesn't hurt to have a bit of knowledge about dressing. So glad yo have stumbled upon here
RMRS you nailed it with this one. Thanks for another great video!!!! 💯
Glad you enjoyed it John.
I still can't believe this was the first video I saw from the channel, two days after seeing the movie and I found it by accident
I don't regret that I saw this and still follow you to this day
Cheering you from Chile
No.10 Work out, look good, and everything will fit just right. Lol!! Anyways, great job with the video and tips
I had no clue you were a marine!!! I ship off to bootcamp this June, and can’t wait to get to bootcamp and conquer my last step to becoming a marine!
Funny fact:in first movie they said that oxfords are formal shoes with OPEN LACING😂
Darth Vader Gah I hated that. They also said, "Oxfords, not brogues," which suggests that an Oxford can't be both.
BROGAINS Fitness finally someone else!
Darth Vader Yes! I just don't understand how nobody caught that. Of all people I would have assumed that Colin Firth would realize that was incorrect.
BROGAINS Fitness oxfords in general refers to plane oxfords or balmoral oxfords whereas while saying brogues no one usually cares about them being oxfords or derbies all that matters is perforation and oxfords are much more formal than brogues even Antonio has a video about it
In first movie they said: "Oxfords are any shoes with closed lacing."
Also "Oxfords, not brogues" was actually Eggsy's choice of shoes.
Their way of talk is something to learn. And the confidence too.
For sure!
I was just watching the Kingsman collection on Mr Porter when it comes the notification of this video. Amazing! Antonio, I highly suggest you to watch Kingsman the golden circle, you will love it.
For n10, I'd say "being at ease in one's own skin" ;)
Looking forward to watching it.
It was terrible.
Keep these types of videos coming.. these types of videos separate you from the pack!
Love the advice here Antonio you seem like a great guy
Good advices, great explanations - no advertising. Another great video Antonio!
Love this video Antonio! Please, please, please do a Statesman.
Is it Christmas now?
:)
well its always Christmas when Antonio responds to your comment(and maybe even pins it)
Darth Vader yes
Kingsman is based on the Saville Row store of Huntsman, which created all the suits for the film.
The Row has the world's best bespoke tailors. I would like to have a suit made there one day.
You better start saving up, suits start at around $6000 and go up from there...
Could you please make a video on the peaky blinders😁
i think they should put conor mccgregor on that show, he will suit that type of thing
Maoriboy Skuzz yes it would
*maketh
you've done a great job. Let people know though that how they dress is only cosmetic and will not fill a void that requires substance.
Can you do a Doctor Who edition
jjefferyh 11 10th Doctor had the best style.
The 10th wore trainers with his suit.
The 11th had a better sense of style with his bowties.
Nah, the classic Doctors will always have the best. The classics will never die and the Fourth Doctor’s scarf will never go out of style.
Manners maketh man. Awesome video, i love Kingsman! Have you seen John Wick? Its a man with style that is deadly ;)
For sure!
How to wear the best formals (without a blazer) {waistcoat will work}... what color shirt to wear? And what tie knot to wear
You are helping an entire generation of men “be all they can be” lol pun intended even if it’s the incorrect branch lol
Cheers mate
I like your videos, when you make about movies, I really like it alot!
Crazy how much effort you put in these videos. Nothing but respect sir
I knew he was going to make a video about this.
Did you like the video? :)
Real Men Real Style It was amazing
I Think It's Great For Women To Watch As Well To Encourage Our Men To Look and Feel Their Very Best!! Blessings B,
Would you consider doing a video like this for the blacklist and Raymond Redington?
I often hope that looking good and classic looks don't fade away, but it seems there still is a real interest in it. I do attribute the likes of The Kingsman in keeping this sort of thing alive, especially for men who have found that there is an ever-narrowing space for them.
Whether it's a Groom's Dinner or a night at the Nutcracker with your daughter, looking classically good has its place.
Fam if I go to a Halloween party this year I’m dressing like a kingsman
One of the things i notice is the air of confidence which no matter how they are dressed they pull it off as someone who is someone. Its the way they walk, talk and act that shows i've arrived and I'm somebody.
Hey Antonio, could you do a video on the John Wick Movies suits?
You're the man, hey, thanks on sharing our movement on Twitter. We're working on our second trip with more supplies for Texas.
You're welcome Art! Glad it helped.
Artssimplifiedlife bless you sir! You're kind hearted charity is very admirable! Lord knows we can use it!
Who else was expecting "Oxfords, not brogues"
When I was first introduced to Pierce Brosnan by the TV show Remington Steel. He was the epitome of James Bond for me. He was the guy I pictured every time I read about 007 . Even though I'm a huge fan of Sir Sean Connery, rest his soul. Brosnan just did it for me, and I'm not surprised he was at the top of your list as well.
When he's running to the princess I don't think it's because his hairs perfect
Brilliant video, only one thing, the tie seen in the film although seemingly Blue, White and Red is actually Navy, with a Large Light Pink stripe and a smaller Dark Brown stripe through the pink.
Wat about the glasses they wore...
They cost like 400$
They're all British bespoke, The only common brand that comes close is the Tom Ford sun glasses line. You can buy replicas on iOffer.com
GENTLEMEN SAMI They’re the Cutler and Gross 0822 model.
This is the type of video that should be sponsored by the movie (not sure if it is). You're promoting the movie in a very relevant, informative, and indirect way
ohhh..saville row..in my dream...
I know, right!
Where a suit starts at $6000 and only goes up from there ...
I just got back from the cinema watching The Golden Circle. It was great! Statesman’s fashion is also very well done.
"I know that's outside the budget of most people watching this channel"...Thanx you for reminding me that i'm poor af

Arunish singh its very expensive
Arunish singh plus the market is flooded with people trying to sell the same thing..
I completely agree on statements about looking for great deals. Quality matters !
I'm more of a statesman
1630revelloak to each it's own

I have been learning from u since past 3 yrs and this the best tie u have worn!
Awesome - thanks for the continued support.
Do how to dress like doctor who
I'll add it to my queue. Thanks for the suggestion Ryan.
Not sure if anyone has commented this as its an old video, but the suits are made by Huntsman of Savile Row in collaboration with Mr.Porte, everything you see them wear is bespoke, the suits and shoes, even the glasses are bespoke.
