Does it really surprise anyone that they haven't modeled the avionics properly? This is the same company that has used the same cockpit for every F-4 (with the exception of the EJ Kai) that they added with the F-4C... Before radar missiles were in the game... Before RWR was in the game... And have yet to go back through and put the screens in them. I didn't notice how much it pissed me off until I started flying the F-105 with it's beautifully modeled cockpit and RWR right up on the dash.
Oh that's not really suprising. Gaijin downgraded Mirage IIIC/E's performances, so for Mirage V F. It was pretty obvious they would do the same with Nasher

I find that its a lot more fun to play a vehicle if you have a sense of its larger historical context, and sometimes it makes it easier to understand why it performs the way it does (what it was actually designed to do, etc).
Lack of ballistic computer is the reason I have gone for Phantom II as my CAS plane once the tank tree arrives. +Maverick missiles of course. However, thank you for the information!
It came! It finally came! My patience has paid off. A wonderful, well thought out video. Disappointed at lack of ballistics computer, but will give ground pounding a good go. Watching your video it seemed as if the speed bleed in turns isn't as drastic as the mirage. Is that due to a better engine?
Actually the nesher has the best energy retention out of all the mirages because of it being little heavier because of if’s more or less ground pounding roll

Didn't see this video on release but I completely agree with you on the fact it's completely off-meta. I'm not even afraid to say it's redundant junk in it's current state. What makes it even worse is the fact it's end of the line vehicle with increased mod RP costs. I played a couple games in it and it's complete hard pass for me until they make it proper strike attacker like it supposed to be.

@@TimsVariety Great idea ! I was also wondering if you ever had issue with your missiles randomly cutting off the head cooling process randomly after you initiate it... I could swear happens to me between 1/4 and 1/2 of all seeker cooldown initiations.... I know that it's not me hitting it again, most of times it happens after I start cooling, and get into a turn... then it just cuts off the cooling, before it has chance to get into locking mode.
Question: Performance-wise, the stat card only seems to indicate that the difference between the AIM-9D and 9G is that the 9D has a slightly larger warhead, is there any REAL difference besides that in actual use?

hey tims variety, i know this looks long, but i ask you please to read this. everything about how the nesher was made is right but the last one, its probabley american propaganda because at that time israel wasnt in too much connections with america just yet. the story goes like this: when the embargo first began, dassault started shipping the mirage 5s to israel in pieces so the israelis can assemble them themselves, thus, bypassing the embargo. however, later in 1968, israel raided the lebenese airport and bombed 14 arabic company's commercial aircraft as a payback for the kidnapping of EL-AL israeli commercial aircraft. de gauell, president of france and the one who begun the embargo, made the embargo way more restrictive in response, to the point anything jet related cannot be exported into israel, even toy jets. what happened is that israel KNEW de gauell would do that, so before the operation, the mossad hiered an austrian engineer that passed dozens of boxes with the blueprints and plans of the mirage 5, and brought them to israel. meanwhile, yossef shidlovski, a jewish-french industrialist, opened a bunch of engine factories in israel. when france closed the shiber (hebrew for valve), israel was fully ready to build its own mirages. by the time you could hear from the outside of the elysee palace screams of " *THEY DID WHAT!?!??* " the israeli industry was mass producing the nesher, a mirage 5 with upgraded engine and flight systems. hope i cleared the confusion! keep making amazing videos!
For a 10.3 the speed and accélération might be "ok" but nothing to write home about, it's one of the slower after the F-104,MiG-21SMT/MF ,F-4C . It's not a great dogfighter either , yes it may have some AoA but considering it's from the Mirage 5 wich is itself a variant of IIIE it's dogshit compare to the IIIC , it's 1000kg heavier for the same engine power
I'll go even further in the comparaison between the Mirage 5/nesher and the Mig21SMT/MF in the dogfight role , Mirage has a slower accélération wich is really important on a delta plane , can't pull has much AoA and in the rate fight the MF is lighter and will beat you and the SMT has more power and will also beat you , they can also carry more missiles but they are worse at longer range , all in all those migs deserve a 10.7 br they are really good in a downtier and can hold themself in an uptier as long as you have some teammates around
I'm totally one of those bomber "unicorns", who can drop bombs constantly in any situation, however I most only fly jet bombers/stricker bombers, such as the su-7/su-22. Aswell as the f4j, Canberra, vautour, etc. So I have had to get used to bombing at many speeds, and in many situations.
@@theneef174 There is a bug with the shadows in some lighting conditions with some graphics cards (which I have - a 3070) causing the shadow calculations to basically turn anything that isnt in direct sunlight solid black. The only way to avoid it is to turn dynamic shadows off completely, which ... well, you noticed ... I just have to live with it until gaijin resolves the issue.
Anyone else think the matches would be more competitive if we all used the basic starter missiles at top tier. Everyone with aim 9 b, shafrir and r3. Just a thought.
i own the nesher, terrible plane. dont get it unless you just like bombing bases and nothing else, but just get the a4e at that point and even the Kfir holds more bombs, has a ballistic computer, and is better in every way

I find that its a lot more fun to play a vehicle if you have a sense of its larger historical context, and sometimes it makes it easier to understand why it performs the way it does (what it was actually designed to do, etc).

If you hit the keybind to lock target a 2nd time, it will de-spool your missile.

Aim 9g tracks better and in my experience turns better. I also believe the aim9g has slightly more burn time.
@@exseque21 aim9D has the longer burn time and larger warhead but 9G tracks better off rails and at range

Yes, the shafrir 1 is like the aim 9B and the shafrir 2 is like the aim 9D so much better

They've since removed the Cyrano so the radar is now useless outside of sim.
Why are the missile pylons so heavily angled?
In real life, the plane maintains a slight-positive angle of attack in level flight. The pylons are pointed into the wind.
