A special note - the Shafrir 2 was buffed with an uncaged seeker literally a day after I finished producing this video...... the snail LOVES to do that to me.
Ah yes, the snail gives and takes away on the whim of it's wiggly eye stalks.

I’m glad they uncaged the seeker on the Shafrir 2, now it seems a bit more viable to consider over the Aim-9D
I was an A4 plane captain and engine mechanic for many years. That wing rip nonsense is pure Gaijin bs. No A4 ever broke a wing anywhere under any circumstances. The fact is the A4, especially the M, could fight its way into a target, deliver a substantial payload with pinpoint accuracy and then fight even better on its way out. One of the most maneuverable attack aircraft ever built, it had a roll rate of 720/sec. Yes 720. That wasn’t a typo. Blue Angels loved the Skyhawk. And so did I.

Honestly I've never had a problem with wingrip on the A4s, this is the first I'm hearing about it
@@connormoylan2466 just by playing the A4E, I got traumatized by the wings ripping off but now it seems less the case
I've only had them rip if I'm carrying ordnance and I do a negative roll, that's about it for me, try putting out air brake before most turns
You forget that those A-4s were flown within allowable design load envelopes, so of course they would never experience a wing rip. War thunder pilots don’t give that much care to safety. If anything, war thunder is way too lenient with how often wings rip. No plane is going to survive an 11-13g turn.
Releasing this a day early, since the memo just came out about the F&I update for WT coming out tomorrow, and I don't want this one to get pushed out too far.
The A-4s are apparently getting custom loadouts in the next update

Funny thing: Israeli A-4Ns never actually used AGM-65s, at all
Nor did they ever use the triple launcher (The only Israeli Skyhawk to use Mavericks were A-4Hs, which could only carry maybe 2x Mavericks at once on each underwing pylon).
The N is interesting, as it's based on my favorite variant of the Skyhawk, the M.
The M was upgraded over time, mostly with a HUD, AN/ASB-19 ARBS (Angle-Rate Bombing System), and IFF sensor (top of the vertical stab)
Israel's Skyhawk was modelled after the near-base model A-4M, meaning no IFF or ARBS
Currently, two users of the A-4N are the companies Top Aces and Draken International (Draken also uses ex-New Zealand A-4K Kahus).
The M variant of the Skyhawk was tested with AGM-65Es at NAS China Lake, however I believe it had to rely on buddy-lasing in order to designate the target, so likely no Mavericks (or Gaijin will, ya never know)
I really hope the M gets added in the future, as the N is one of my go-to planes for grinding and for custom battles

Question for the people! If someday Gaijin adds the Super Skyhawk, what country should get it? Because Boeing only made that upgrade for Argentina and only Argentina. So what country do y'all think it should go?
Germany. They need rank 6 attackers and there is already Argentine vehicles in Germany ground tree. Also add the a4ar fighting hawk layered behind it
The folks modelling these did a great job, even modelled the aerodynamic fringes and the speedbrake interconnect cable. It's true that the A-4N is best as a CAS platform, love coming into work with them every day. To the first person to produce an accurate (down to the registration) Top Aces skin for the A-4N, you're my hero.
I'm on the Israel grind right now using the a4's as my main planes to get the f4 and kfir, I was so happy he said this at 7:52 made me feel like I wasn't alone lol. Base bombing in these slow planes are torture.
Hope you’re done at this point lol. I would go back if you wanna have some fun. I’ve been having a blast flying it recently and it’s even better if you can get some friends on. Just take 2 Shafrir 2s and 2 Aim9Ds, take min fuel but make sure you uninstall the New Boosters mod, it’s a great time
This aircraft is fucking amazing! I love it in a bad game I always get a kill ,one of my best match i got 7 kills in air realistic
It’s even stronger at 9.3 now, seeing as the Shafrir 2 is uncaged now. I’ve been having a blast flying this thing and it’s such a needed break from top tier. Getting a kill or two a game is soo easy, and I feel very hard to kill with the combination of the roll rate and pull, and the 60 countermeasures. Fuckin great, I love this thing
