  • Hey guys! It's long overdue but I’m excited to share with you the renovations we made in our toy hauler aka our "kid hauler." We didn’t make any changes immediately. One, we waited for our camper to have warranty work for so long that by the time we got it back we had to get moving! But also, we wanted some time to live in the camper to see what changes we thought would benefit us the most. Most of the changes have been practical to fit our family. It is by no means an instagram worthy toy hauler renovation complete with fresh paint and cute decorations. We just needed it to be functional! So I hope you’ll take a watch to see the changes we made to make it work for our family!
Let me know if you have any questions or if you have any great suggestions for something we should add to our toy hauler reno! (Minus painting…I hate painting! 😀)

Carpet backing is commonly made with a synthetic rubber derived from styrene and butadiene, both of which are respiratory irritants at low levels of exposure. Long-term exposure to high levels of styrene is associated with nerve damage, and long-term exposure to butadiene is associated with cancer and heart disease.

Love what you did, thanks for sharing!
It's very helpful for us brainstorming how to use the garage in a toy hauler

Thank you! It has been very practical and the kids have enjoyed having their own retreat and places to store all their things!

I came across your channel the other day while researching IEW & again today while looking up RV options. I had no idea you were a full-time RVing family. We are getting our ducks in a row so that we can be debt-free and full time RVers by 2026. Thanks for sharing your experience. :)

WOOHOO! That's awesome! We have loved the experience. It's worth it and I'd do it all again! The time together, the memories, the laughs, everything! There certainly have been some bumps in the road, but we've grown through them all. I hope you guys have just as wonderful of an experience!

Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to film this. The way up into the loft is brilliant! We have a 4006 also and may do the same. We did level out the back dovetail/dip thing. My word of caution there is to make sure you do measurements with your glass doors open as the hinge system takes up space and you can't go as deep as you may think. But looking at your mods I think you're experienced enough to have researched and figured that part out already.

Yes, we saw that those doors would turn in and could potentially hit the floor. We debated back and forth on leveling out the floor but decided against it in case a future family would want to use the toy hauler as an actual toy hauler. Any changes or modifications we made we tried to make them easily "undoable" or something that any person might want!

Good to know you can put a tension rod between the happy jacks! Thanks 😊

    • @livingthegandeelife5565

Yes, sometimes they fall down during travel if they aren't tight in there, but they go right back up once you stop! We haven't had any issues with them even when they've fallen during transit!

Awesome video! So many good ideas. We have already implemented the tension rods in between the happy jack rails. I am wondering where you got the folding round shower curtain rod? I would love to get one. Thanks!

I could see if he could find his "plans" aka sketch on a piece of paper and could make a video about how he made them. However, he did not video any of his process, unfortunately! :(

Hello, could you tell me the information for the curtain rod for the bathroom. Thank you so much 😊

Do you by chance know what brand your blackout curtains are? I need some that REALLY work. 😊

    • @livingthegandeelife5565
      @livingthegandeelife5565  Год назад +2

They are Eclipse brand from Walmart. We’ve found they work pretty well with the light but also aiding in keeping out the heat!

@@livingthegandeelife5565 Yes! Blocking the heat is important where we are too.

No, there is no dryer vent in this toy hauler. We have a ventless washer and dryer combo unit!

It has been a great room for the kids. It feels cozy and comfy, the kids have a place to go that's all their own, and they have storage for all their stuff! We've been very happy with all our additions/changes!

Carpet in any bedroom is the worth. Unhealthy. Carpets and rugs may trap pollutants and allergens like dust mites, pet dander, cockroach allergens, particle pollution, lead, mold spores, pesticides, dirt and dust. Toxic gases in the air can stick to small particles that settle into carpets.
