I think this is the prettiest Shasta Restoration I have ever seen! Loved the colors you used on the inside and outside, the kitchen remodel, and the great use of space!
Super job of redoing this old classic. I like keeping the original concept intact and your remodel does that but with modern flourishes....kudos to you and your Dad. I have an old Silver Streak with turquoise appliances and so I really like that you used this color both inside and out. Five thousand is a good number and well worth the investment, especially with the "emergency" toilet. I hope you and your dog build wonderful memories in the trailer.
What a sweet camper!! You 2 & dad did an amazing job renovating. I'm terribly impressed ‼️ Young people with a vision & a goal...yes. Keep on fighting the good fight, kids!!!! I'm proud of you.
What a beautiful Shasta. I bet you learned so much about the build I love the colors you selected. I think that’s a smart idea what you did with the bed!! Congrats & kudos to dad helping you out!
Nice! I just bought a vintage 1965 Shasta Compact. I'm planning on leaving it as original as possible, with the original fixtures and paneling, but if I ever update it, I would choose your style of tasteful paint and décor!
I love it!! We have the same trailer and didn’t know what to do or how to remodel it, but this gave me a good idea! It’s beautiful and perfect inside! 😍
Amazing job! :) We have nearly the exact same Shasta trailer that we just purchased this summer and have a few updates we want to make to it. Ours has a large cabinet over where you have your bed, and we're trying to brainstorm turning it into a fold-out bunk for our 2.5 year old daughter. Love the fridge - we may get that same one. Thanks for sharing these great ideas :)
Love, love, love, love your videos. We have been binging your content the last couple of days. We have been looking for a vintage trailer for quite some time. We don't see a whole lot of Shastas. So we have just been looking for canned ham style trailers in general. Something small, compact, and can fit a family of four. Crazy enough today we found a Shasta Compact on craigslist. It is definitely a fixer upper. We didn't even realize until we watched your videos again tonight that you have a Shasta Compact as well. We were drooling over yours, not realizing that we were looking at the same model of trailer up here in Alaska. We don't really do the whole collaboration thing, not because we don't enjoy it, but because we are kind of on an island up here. But, would love to potentially do one with you two in the fairly distant future if that is something you would be interested in. We would love to make a video on the differing perspectives of taking out small camper trailers with families vs. a couple. Keep cranking out those great videos!
Playing with Sticks congratulations on finding your Shasta! That it so exciting! Please reach out if you have any questions on them! We’d love to do a collaboration sometime! We’re hoping to make our way to Alaska next year sometime so maybe we’ll see you around!
@@summergintherWe will definitely reach out to you if we have any questions. Looking forward to hopefully meeting up with the two of you in the near future.
I also love the Tiffany blue , its good that you were able to keep the original stove and oven . I wondered why you didnt make the bathroom slightly larger with the space you had for the wardrobe? you seem to have lots of storage there anyway . especially under the bed you built , i noticed the folding chairs under , when you showed us the bed made up .
Very nice job. Most people, when they change the layout, ruin the trailer. I like how you personalized it without losing the original feel. I do have a question on that fridge. On the outside I did not see any venting to allow it to cool as it exchanges the heat from the refrigerant. Is it cooling as it should? And, where did you find it? Our 63 Santa Fe has the same basic layout and we would love a fridge in that same colour that yours is.
Thank you! We wanted the space to work with us while still changing it as little as possible! Here is a link to the mini fridge we used: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FSW1CD8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 We currently do not have an outside vent on our fridge and have not had problems but also have not been staying in very warm weather. That might be something we have to add down the road if we start having problems!
This looks so great! We would totally get one of these, but I think we are going to need a little more room if we're going to be living in it full time with 3 cats. Lol I mean, my husband and I could probably do it, but the cats take up too much room! 😅 I think this remodel is so adorable, though. You guys did a great job! I'm shocked you were able to get it for 2.5k and only put 2.5k in it and make it look this good!
Inside/outside looks amazing. I love the vintage new fridge and the way you configured your bed. Love your paint job outside. What paint and technique did you use? How did you make the silver stripe?
Thank you! We used an exterior acrylic latex paint from Sherwin Williams. It's their stores brand called "superpaint" and we got it in high gloss. For the stripe we initially used reflective automotive tape for the chrome look, but we had got the wrong kind, so we painted the stripe using chrome spray paint.
@@summerginther Great info, thank you!! Do you happen to remember the NAME of that lovely green color on the exterior at Sherwin Williams? I've been looking at SO MANY GREENS and this is exactly the color I'm trying to find!! ❤️
This is exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for. How did you find it? Every now and again a person can find something like this on Facebook Marketplace. The fridge is so cute and perfect! Nice job!
@cindybin2001 sorry Cindy all that each of us can control is ourselves and how we respond to others. And often times you can't judge another from the exterior cover. I am older in life now and as much as we individually want to help another or guide them or teach them - each lesson in life comes at our own individual time frame. That was a long and Arduous take away lesson in life for me. Have a good one, stay healthy and safe
@cindybin2001 Cindy you are the raging at people demanding they live their lives to your standard. Maybe you should listen to those 200 people. Get a life grow up and stop harassing NOW
Hello! Your camper looks great! We are about to purchase a 1971 Shasta Compact. We would want to add a toilet to the closet. What toilet did you use? Thank you!!!!
Do you have the name for the table? This is exactly what I have been looking for for our trailer. I searched Amazon to no avail. Maybe if I had the name ...

Thank you so much!
I reported the lady bashing you for having tattoos. You seem like a nice person. :) Love the trailer, you guys are awesome!
T1D TV thank you! I don’t understand the want to hate on the internet but there’s plenty more good people to make up for it!
@Mary Magdalene Etters Nope just a nice person. Take care.

What a great job restoring your camper!
So tiny, so beautiful.. And not too expensive.. Wow
Wendy Kelly thank you!
What a beautiful Shasta. I bet you learned so much about the build I love the colors you selected. I think that’s a smart idea what you did with the bed!! Congrats & kudos to dad helping you out!
He's the best! Thank you for watching!
I have to say I love the vintage color of the retro style. Great couple team work!.
I need to do this to my 1967 Field and Stream. Looks amazing.
Nice! I just bought a vintage 1965 Shasta Compact. I'm planning on leaving it as original as possible, with the original fixtures and paneling, but if I ever update it, I would choose your style of tasteful paint and décor!
It's pretty, nostalgic of the old days... congratulations.
I love ,love LOVE the way you did this! The table can go out side. Campers that are big and fancy keep you in them too much!
I love it!! We have the same trailer and didn’t know what to do or how to remodel it, but this gave me a good idea! It’s beautiful and perfect inside! 😍
Just now seeing this , great job redoing it. I love the color of the stove and refrigerator.
Wow! What an amazing job you did! I hope you enjoy it for many years!
Gail Evans thank you! We love it!
You did a beautiful job . I just love it ❤️
You have an affordable Shasta travel trailer which has stand up room inside. Nicely done. Looking good! 😁👍
I think you did a very good job of updating this van , the fridge especially is a great addition .you should be very proud of your work.
Thank you!

Beautiful little van, can’t believe you managed to fit so much in!
Richard Parrott it was tricky but we made it work!
Your Trailer is cute. Done very good taste. Wishing you both happy camping and enjoy your home away from hone!!!😊
Beautiful. Love the couch/bed. The best is the color 🖌.
Love it! I just bought the exact same model and year. I'm going to fix it up almost the same as this one. Thanks for sharingl
It's adorable! Nice job!
Well done. I am in the process with my 1965 Gipsye. This helped a lot.
Lovly redo. Love your Shasta.
Shasta is a doll! Well done you! 50 looks good on her!
Thank you so much! We think so too!
Give your Dad big hugs every chance you get. 2,500.00 on remod only tells me Dads labor was free! Anyway, awesome retro.
I love the tiffany blue trailer, that is my favorite color. Enjoy!!!!!!

Wicked I love it the only thing I can see being a problem is two people sleeping and one getting stuck in the extension

Great job! I am on the fence about doing this too. I guess I don't have the confidence!
I've seen some $20,000 renovations that don't have half your style. Awesome!

slm2112 absolutely! We used spray paint to paint the stove! It should be linked in this video description. We used a Dometic Low Profile toilet.
Love it!
Thanks!!
I love it great job
m&m M7M thank you!

You did a fantastic job! Ill look you up in a couple years and see if you want to sell :)
Really nice. Where did you find the fridge
cool video ,thanks
Looks nice for some camping, but for life on the road, IDK how well it would work for more than a single person!
Love..how did you match the paint with the appliances..what color is that
